What do Hip2Savers think of this slide?

I got this slide last year via a deal posted on here and I highly recommend it! It’s a durable slide and held up to daily wear by my boys and their friends.

We love ours! Very good quality. Just be sure to let it dry thoroughly before putting it away.

I have had mine for three years. Good quality and provides lots of entertainment. We use it with just a bit of water and have never used the splashing shower. Best for 4 to 7 year old kids. The only con is the storing issue and that you have to let it completely dry before storing.

We’ve had this for about 3 years. It is really fun and easy to set up. I did, however, expect it to be bigger than it really is. I think it should be for kids 8 years old and under, even though my 9 and 12 year old boys still try playing on it. The material that it is made of is more durable than expected. I think this will last for a long time. Also, just make sure it is completely dry before storing.

We have this and I can’t wait to pull it out this summer! This will be our third summer to have it. Last summer, I would inflate and bleach clean it just because I couldn’t stand to look at the mold stains. We also ordered a few repair/cover patches last summer. We have taken good care of it, but it’s in the yard…with kids…things happen! Our girls are now 7 and 4 and I imagine that they will still really love it! Beware…takes a bit of time to take up and take down, so keep this up all day and enjoy it as much as you can!! HTH as you consider buying it. We bought it from Kohl’s at a similar price point and I think it has been well worth it.

Where did you get the patches/how did you find where to apply them? Ours had air leaking/the slide was too flat at the bottom and we ended up tossing it in the end. When it did work it was fun, though. It was a horrible pain to dry…. does anyone have suggestions for that part?

      • Stormy

Hmmm…pretty sure that we ordered the patches from Amazon. I don’t expect it to last past this summer but I would drain it, keep it inflated, then my husband would use the yard blower to get my water off of it. Like I said, it’s an all day project but fun!

        • Lolita

Hmm never thought of using a yard blower (lol, we don’t have one, but I have thought of getting it). That is a good idea! It could take us a week to put it up because we emptied it, and blew it up to dry, but even if we lower the sides and try to empty the pool part out, it still stays wet in the edges, so then we would deflate it, and maybe turn it over, but then we were afraid frogs and snakes would get it in (because they would) and then we would turn it over again and blow up, and the it would rain or something and we had to start over. The last time we used it the slide part wasn’t working well anyway because it wouldn’t stay inflated and it wouldn’t dry and we just ended up leaving it out and then throwing it away. Our grass would die and so my husband wasn’t a fan… but after all that, I would still consider getting it if I could find a way to dry it well easily and to patch it if it was not working well because my kids had a good time with it!

Agreed, very good investment. Still easier than packing bunch of stuff, loading the kids up to go to the beach/pool. 😊

Thanks for the great feedback! Good to know!

I am really considering getting this for my children, but I have a question. We live out in the country and don’t have beautiful plush grass. (sigh…We have angry grass.) We have oodles of woods. Do you think that this would make a difference? Is the material thick enough to maybe….have a chicken run across it?

    • Melloddie

We have cement yard so we use floor playmats under neath

What a great idea! Thank you!!!
