I’ve been using raise for a while now, and I’ve saved over $500! YES you read that right! It’s a blessing really, as of last year I was able to use this app for Christmas and it helped a ton! Please consider using my link because it will help us both out πŸ˜‰ if you have any questions about the app, I can try to answer. I don’t work for them or anything but I’ve bought and sold here and has a great experience so far

This company sold me a gift card that had 0 balance instead of the 50 they claimed then only wanted to give me back 27, instead of the 38 that I spent! I ended up disputing with visa and won… I would never buy from this company again, terrible customer service.

I had a the same experience with Raise. I purchased a gift card for my son and when he tried to use it there was only a couple of dollars on it. They were completely unwilling to make any attempt to make it right. I would never take that chance again.

I had trouble with them too. I bought a Potbelly card. The card had the full amount of $50 when I used it the first time. I spent ~$8. The next time I went to use it there was $0. I think the person who sold it used it for online orders after they sold it. Raise did refund the amount I lost, but it was such a frustrating experience. I’ve read that if you do want to use Raise, immediately check the balance and transfer the money to a new card. Good luck.

I also had the same experience K. Would NEVER in a million years use Raise again. And if you’re getting one for a gift, be prepared to have egg on your face when the recipient tells you there is $0 money on the card.

Collin, I’m surprised you continue to promote them when so many of your devoted readers have had such problems with Raise. Just sayin’.

I used them for a while and all was good, but I bought some sprouts gift cards that were empty. It took a while to sort it out and get my money back. So I stopped using them. Just be careful.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the honest review Caroline! Glad you were able to get a refund on your last order.

I had a bad experience with Raise. I bought a Petco gift card. After 2 weeks, I noticed about $25 was missing from the card. I emailed them and since I was within the 100 days guarantee, Raise refunded $16 not $25 back to my credit card. After the 100 days passed, they emailed me and asked the $16 back by charging my credit card. First, I decided not to fight with them because it was just $16, not worth my time. However. after I read a lot of people face the same problem, I disputed the amount with my credit card company. and got my money back. Just becareful.

    • Caroline

Exactly. I stopped dealing with them as well. Just not worth the hassle of tracking what I bought/used/remainder/fighting for balanced owed.

Customer service not helpful at raise. I never seem to get my referral rewards 😑

Do not use this site!!!! I bought a ton of gift cards from them. One of them was supposed to be a 50 dollar subway card…..3 different subways could not get the card to swipe…..subway’s system would not allow manual entrance of gift cards. Raise customer service suggested that I simply resell it since it did have a valid balance. Unacceptable. An olive garden gift card had a zero balance. Raise sent me a new one, but I was stuck paying the 50 dollar bill out of pocket the day it didn’t work. Finally, a Lowe’s gift card was sent as a printable paper. After verifying that it did have a valid balance, I held onto it for about 4 months since it had a 500 dollar balance. When I tried to use it, Lowe’s said that they just changed the policy and couldn’t accept paper gift cards anymore even though it had a valid balance. Raise told me that since it was past their 30 or 60 day policy (can’t remember) they couldn’t help at all. I was out 500!!! Sickening!!

Oh bummer πŸ™ Super sorry to hear that Delia! πŸ™ Thanks so much for sharing your experience!
