This might be a weird question–but is this the same thing as a yoga ball? I heard its good to sit on yoga balls while pregnant, so would this work? Thanks in advance!

    • m

yah it is, i used one of these when i was preggers

  4. Maria

Never mind–I see someone on Amazon used it to go into labor. But it says it can cause birth defects. Scary!

    • Summer

Birth defects from a yoga ball ? That’s ridiculous …..

      • Maria

        I saw it on Amazon

        • Deb

          Maria,
They were referring to the possibility of chemicals used in the production of the ball as being potentially dangerous to fetal development. That doesn’t mean that your baby would be harmed; it’s just a legal requirement (from California) that plastic products contain a warning. As long as you place a piece of cloth over the ball as a cover (which is what we do at the hospital) and wash your hands, you’ll be fine.

            Thanks deb!!
