Since the code VISA30 expired early in the day causing a lot of frustration, Amazon is making good on this offer by extending a FREE $30 Amazon credit to those cardholders who attempted to use the code and failed. If you experienced this issue, check your Inbox for an email titled “Your $30 Amazon Rewards Visa Card Prime Day Offer” coming from the email address “order-update@amazon.com“.
If you did indeed receive this email, the $30 gift card funds have already been loaded to your Amazon account and are available for your immediate use.

This e-mail made my morning! I was pretty bummed to miss out on the deal on Tuesday, especially as I wasn’t expecting it to be an expiring deal and had *just* found $150 worth of Amazon-shipped products I needed.
To me that was the most difficult part of taking advantage of the original deal — everything I wanted/needed to buy was a third-party item fulfilled by Amazon! 🙂

I got it! LOVE Amazon! And you know what? Once the code wouldn’t work, I removed a few things from my cart because I decided I didn’t need them. So I didn’t even spend $150 and still got the $30. Now THAT’s customer service.

Yes, I got it, and was so surprised! I had spent quite some time finding $150 worth of items sold and shipped by Amazon only to find that the code had expired. I was super upset.

I didn’t receive mine either, I contacted Amazon chat and they gave me a $30 promotional credit to use.
How did you get them to add a $30 promotion? They are telling me they can only take it off my orders. I filled a cart full of “sold by Amazon” stuff, the code didn’t work so I didn’t order. I purchased a bunch of stuff that day but only half way sold by Amazon. I have talked to 2 people.

I told them that yesterday I tried placing a order between 1-2 pm and the code didn’t work. They asked for my order number and I told them I don’t have one I purchased it elsewhere. Then they offered the promotional credit to me.
I didn’t get it either despite I bought over $150 worth of items. I’m on with Amazon customer service trying to find out why I didn’t receive the $30- credit. They’re giving me a hard time about it. This is really upsetting when people received a credit & they didn’t even get to the $150 mark. They will NOT give the credit. I’m am so done with Amazon. I will be cancelling my Amazon card. I’m trying to save every penny & I hit road blocks. Not a happy saver today…so this is just fyi…

Question…not about the $30 but the $10 from getting a gift card. I got the email yesterday but when I try to use it it wont work–are there restrictions I didnt know about?
I think it is only good for products sold by Amazon and not 3rd party. I used mine yesterday for a subscribe and save item and it came off in the final checkout page.

Never heard of Amazon rewards Visa card!
I’m on chat with Amazon right now! We ordered stuff that day, couldn’t use the code. I opened a chat with them because we couldn’t get things to add to our cart, and I kid you not, the rep said, “well it won’t sell out if no one can add it to their cart.” I took a screen shot because I was SO floored. Lo and behold, one of the things we really wanted sold out while we were refreshing. Now chat has told me “that was a limited promo and it was reached quickly.” I’m happy other people got credit, but it’s SO irritating.
Question about this card for those that have it…what are the perks & interest rate? Not a big credit card person but ended up getting Kohl’s one for all the deals. If these promos are a regular thing, might have to look into it, heavy Amazon shopper! Thanks❤
My favorite part of it is the rewards for using the card. When you pay your card balance your rewards show up in your Amazon account to use to purchase anything you want (not restricted to “sold by Amazon”.) I believe it’s 3% back on Amazon purchases, 2% on gas, restaurants and drug stores, and 1% on everything else. This works for me because it’s easy and convenient because I shop on Amazon regularly. This is only a good card if you pay your full statement balance every month. The interest is high somewhere around 13%.
Thanks!! I could see where the % back could really add up over time, going to look at that now! Yes, with any cards I may use, I go ahead & put it in checkbook, so it’s accounted for & I can pay it right away. Would be nice to get some back for things I’m buying anyway😊
I’ve had the card for almost a year. This is the first time I saw a promo like this. I think the interest rate is based on credit scores. You also get rewards for each dollar you spend on Amazon. It’s not an amazing card but I like it and use it every time I shop on Amazon.
Thanks Randi! I figured it would vary some on the credit scores, I just know there are some out there with insanely high rates for everyone. I very rarely carry a balance, if I would it would be from something like ordering lots of Xmas presents because the deals were so good, then I might pay it over 2 months. Was wondering about this compared to other cash back cards out there. Going to do some comparisons.
Those of you who have chatted with Amazon. How did you get them to still honor it? I have called and talked to Amazon and Visa. Visa says they have nothing to do with the promotion and Amazon says unless I actually placed the order there is no way to give me $30. I had tried to make an order full of “sold by Amazon” stuff and the code didn’t work so I didn’t end up purchasing my whole cart.
They’re not being consistent. I was unable to get them to honor it. They told me that emails that were sent with a “trouble ticket” got those codes. From what I read here, this is not the case. This is the icing on the cake this week…we kept getting “failed to cart” messages, and we were shopping at 7:00 am. The code was done already? really, Amazon? They offered me a one month prime extension.
This allowed me to get the grill deal you posted for $81.98 !!! WOO HOO!!!! What a huge blessing!!!! Thanks so much!
