Hi Sheela! My friend and I both bought an 800 series Roomba around Mothers Day and we both love it. I have mainly hard wood floors and the amount it picks up is amazing. I recently vacuumed with my Dyson, shampooed my carpet and then ran the Roomba. It still needed to be emptied three times and this was a relatively small area. The downside is the random pattern it runs in and it can get trapped in a room by shutting the door accidentally. I love that I head off to work and vacuum at the same time! This certainly wasn’t something I needed but so happy I have. Purchased at Bed bath and Beyond during a sale and 20% off coupon.

I have the 600- I got it on Prime day and really like it. When it’s done, it goes back to its charging station and charges itself!! The only thing that bothers me is that I have to move the clutter before I start it- ha ha. We named ours Rosie after the robot from the Jetson’s.

I have one of the 700 series ones. Absolutely worth it! Probably one of the best household purchases I’ve ever made. I have terrible arthritis in my back, so vacuuming with the regular vacuum was excrutiating. And I have 2 cats and a toddler, so a clean floor is a must! I had my husband get me this as my Christmas present during the Kohls Black Friday sale (ok I bought it and told him thanks for the gift😉). I got Kohls cash, ebates back, etc, so it wasn’t an awful price.
I love how clean my floors are able to stay, despite the fact that I can’t physically do them myself. The Roomba has a beater brush, and a brushy brush (no idea what it’s called!) and it does a fabulous job of getting up the stray goldfish crackers, cat fur, etc.
Two downsides that I’ve seen (and they’re very minor and not an issue to me) would be that it has a small debris bin, so after each room you’d have to empty it. That takes 5 seconds, so no big issue. And the other thing is that it only holds a charge to run for about an hour before it takes itself “home” to be recharged. That’s plenty of time for me to do a room, and recharging doesn’t take terribly long.
