So I have the Kitchenaid 600 Professional line and I am obsessed. I have two of them and I use both of them multiple times a week. if one breaks, I will immediately run out and buy a replacement because they are that amazing and useful. The main difference with the HD and the Professional line is that the HD is not compatible with any attachments. If you are planning on using it ONLY for mixing and things like that, then perfect. if you think that you will ever need it for anything else that requires an attachment, I would recommend waiting for a deal on the Professional line. I got both of mine on the Kitchenaid website, in their refurbished section. I got them each for $200.00 plus shipping about five years ago and have never had an issue with either of them.
Ah I just came to comment about how mine changed my life!!! Completely Recommend!
I will say ditto to all of this. My hubby bought this for me for $300 about 8 years ago and it’s still going strong. My wisk broke once but Amazon had a replacement for $15. I use it many times a week for bread, cakes, muffins, cookies, even meatballs and meatloaf. I have several attachments too. I use my pasta maker and apple peeler/corer attachments the most. I have a shredder attachment and I’ll say if you’re contemplating that attachment, I’d pass. It works ok but it gets clogged and is a little hard to clean. A food processor works much better. Such a great machine! Well worth the money!
How cool! Super awesome to hear how well your mixers have held up! Thanks for the helpful review Danielle!
I have the 5 qt and although it is 14 years old and doing just fine I really wish I had the 6. I never knew how much I’d love just a little more space!
