Do you earn points if you use SYW Rewards to pay?

    • Lauren

I don’t believe so when you have to spend a dollar amount

  2. Kenia

If you use points to pay you don’t get the full amount of what you are earning back. It will let you know how many points you will receive after you click on redeem my points. It’s tricky, it has let me earn points back on some transactions and on some it says 0 points back when using my points to pay. Just pay attention to what it says after you apply your points. I recommend for you to take a picture of what it says you will earn, so if you need to call customer service you can let them know you have a picture as prove.

    • Cassandra

I think it only works for items that receive base points. If the points are all bonus points, then you can’t pay with any points or it lessens the points you receive back. Hopefully that makes sense lol.

      • kay

Its actually more if its regular bonus points (example buy this shirt get $5 in points) you can usually spend points and earn points as long as you spend something oop – if its a percentage back deal (example buy these crayola products get 100% back in points) you have to pay completely oop because you will only get back 100% of what you spend oop after points – does that make sense?

    • Kimmy

Thanks I was wondering how you would know.

  3. Andrealynnsaunders@yahoo.com

What if I accidently just paid using points…will I get my points back if I return my purchase?

    • Rebecca

      Yes

  4. Erin

You can’t use existing points and earn new points. That is why these deals are NOT free. It’s 50% off. You pay out of pocket for the item (let’s say $15 for an example item) then get that amount back in points. You then spend that $15 in points on something else. So when it’s all said and done you’ve got yourself $30 worth of merchandise you paid $15 for…= 50% off.

    • Lin

I agree. I only do deals where I’d be happy to get it at 50% of deal. Plus there is the hassle of making sure I get my points, I always pay oop, but still they usually don’t award and I have to contact them.

    • AP

It’s all about perspective. As an alternative way of thinking, you got 2 items for $30 but only came out of pocket $15. That means you paid for one item, and you got one free. That’s how I prefer to look at it and the basis for the wording of the post. Her wording isn’t wrong, and yours isn’t either.

      • AP

My post got cut off. It was supposed to say her wording isn’t wrong and your wording isn’t wrong either. 🙂

    • kay

I agree… Definitely perspective… I personally am buying a new dryer through them, so I do these deals and I do consider them free and then roll the points I get to pay for my dryer that I was going to buy anyways… (Plus I use coupons to make them money makers which helps save on my dryer- I had a coupon for 10 back on 20+ that worked on this. Spent 35+tax and got 45 back) if you don’t have things you are already planning to buy then I could definitely see viewing it as 50% off

  5. Jenn

I’m only seeing $10 off a purchase of $35. I’m not finding the 100% back on school supplies…Where should I look for this?

    • kay

It just appears when you add 15+ of qualifying items to your cart

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Be sure to add the items to your cart and head to checkout to see the 100% back listed.

  6. Kaleena

It was a little finicky but I got the mess free touch light. Tried to place another order for some other crayola items and no points are showing for them? Oh well

  7. Kaleena

Oh wait. I guess because it’s not over $15. Guess i jumped the gun on placing my first order 🙂

  8. Grey

I’m so confused. So spend $15 get $15 back. Spend $25 get $25 back, spend $35 get $10 back…is that right?

    • kay

Spend 35 get 35 back (25 from crayola and 10 for spending 35+ on back to school supplies)

      • Grey

        THX!

    • Lauren

The Crayola deal is get between $15-25 back for spending that much, but there’s another promo for 10 on 35 school so if you spend $35 you still get the whole $35 back

  9. Amy

Since the points are good to use the next day if I place one order today, can i place an order tomorrow, and get more points, keep rolling the points over every day until the sale is over?

    • Barb

Points are not rolling if you pay w8th points you wont get points back

  10. Lisa

I’m kinda bummed with SYW. I earned points ( seen on my receipt ) on Aug. 26th, and they have not posted to my account yet… I am hesitant to do their deals if the points don’t show up.

    • Heather

Lisa just email or call them. I had missing points – two separate transactions and I emailed all the info and they responded AND credited me my missing $35 in points within 36 hours.

    • kay

Email them – info at shopyourwayrewards . com and they might manually add those missing points for you

  11. Sarah L

I might try this, but I’m just a teeny bit confused, the points you earn are only good for 7 days? Then they expire? We don’t have a Kmart near us, so it’s got to be shipping on everything here.

    • Gina

I placed an order and then just read that in the post above. It does seem that the points expire in 7 days 🙁

    • Redgoldfish

Sarah, I plan on using my points on a Land’s End purchase. They’re only 25% off the order today. I hope they have a better promo code over the next few days- 30-40% off, which I will combine with my points.

Btw, does anyone know if they take back the points if you return an item? I’m definitely planning to keep the items I purchased, but I have a product from a previous purchase that earned points that needs to be returned, so I’m wondering if I will lose those points.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes, the points are good for 7 days.

  12. H

I placed an order for $36 and change. It says I will get $35 credit once the entire order has been shipped.

  13. Ericat0605

    Thanks!! 🙂😬🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re very welcome!

  14. Lisa

This is great to stock up for your local children’s hospital. Mine will post throughout the year when they have a shortage of crayons. They can only accept new boxes due to children with compromised immune systems.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

What a generous idea Lisa! Thanks so much for the suggestion!

  15. Cindy

Thanks Collin! I just purchased a bunch of stuff for my artsy 13 year old and will give some to my daughter who is a teacher. Extra stuff can go in the birthday basket at the daycare I work for. 🙂 Paid 37.22 with tax and am getting back 35. I use the points to buy back to school clothes but honestly bought myself 2 outfits with points last week that got a LOT of compliments. Love these deals.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How cool Cindy! Awesome that you could snag this deal for your daughters AND the daycare 🙂 You are very welcome!

  16. AMB

Thanks!! This scenario made $$ I bought two of the Crayola touch free light things. Total was $35.72 plus tax then I earned $38.57 plus $1.00 for choosing regular shipping! Nice deal!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Great score for sure!

  17. Amy W.

Word of caution…Shop your Way is a separate company from KMAŔT. I have not gotten my points from special b promos more often than I have and filing a claim through their system does no good. Even my local KMAŔT employees say they don’t count on getting the points as advertised. I recently spent $60 on kids clearance that advertised as $10 back in SYW PTS for every $10 spent on kid clearance up to $100. I got a total of $11.24 which was partia)y from previous purchases.

  18. Tobey

Stocked up on the crayons and bought the crayola melt n mold on Amazon for $15.($49 at toys r us). Will make a great gift.

  19. Rebecca S

I’m new to Kmart. And have been excited about doing a few deals, but what do you spend your points on if you can’t use them to get more points?

  20. becky bowen

I love getting back points,i do normal shopping for things i normally buy.with points..then everything i got bought and got points back is free stuff….but you do have to watch prices…i not paying way over the amount some where else has….use points to stock up paper products, shampoo, etc…i take aleve big bottle only 1.00 more than walmart, that i will do…but i watch their sales and buy accordingly. I buy my cat litter, buying anyway, stuff like that

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the helpful feedback Becky!

  21. becky

Any problems i have had,and i have had some…i just save all info emails, receipts, etc until points are added, and call them…always great and gave me my points, accept once, when i did not read cobditions on some surprise points

  22. Rebecca S

Can you do this deal more than once or only up to $35 total no matter how many transactions?

  23. Redgoldfish

Like I stated above, I’m pretty sure the points don’t need to be spent at KMart. They can be used at Sears and Land’s End, and some other minor places that I’m not sure about.

Land’s End has 30% off today, so I hope to place an order using my points soon.

  24. victoria

Looks like all office supplies are part of the 100% rewards deal. Is there a limit on how many you can do? I know its only $25 in reward points per transaction, but can you do several transactions and still get the points?
