How does Vonage work?
Vonage works over the internet (VoIP), so you’ll get everything you’d expect from a landline plus a load of features like voicemail that can deliver your messages by email or text message.
You can also download the free Vonage App on your existing cell smartphone, so you can make and receive calls from your home number. Want to block those pesky telemarketers? You can also block any number easily through the Vonage App or your online account so incoming calls from those numbers will not ring on your phone. Sounds good to me!
How do I sign up?
Go here and click the “Get Offer” button to sign up. They’ll send you a Vonage adapter box for free and you can choose a new phone number OR keep your existing home phone number for NO additional charge. Keep in mind that home phone services requires high speed internet (cable or DSL) – you’ll need to have your own broadband internet service already in place to use Vonage.
If you don’t have an existing phone number or don’t want to transfer your current one, they’ll be happy to give you a new number when you sign up.

We’ve had Vonage for at least 8 years, extremely reliable. Can call any landline in 60 countries for free, can use it on 2 mobile phones included. Call to international mobile phones are really cheap. You can keep your phone number if you are transferring from another provider. With taxes it’s like $15 or $16, so it’s 9.99 plus taxes and fees. Just keep it mind.
