Recall Alert: Eggo Nutri-Grain Whole Wheat Waffles Recalled for Possible Listeria Contamination
Have you heard the news?
Kellogg’s recently announced a recall of Eggo Nutri-Grain Whole Wheat Waffles 12.3 oz 10-count boxes in 25 states. These were voluntarily recalled because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others.
So, be sure to check your freezer for UPC code 38000 40370 and the “best buy” date of November 21st, 2017 and November 22nd, 2017. Thankfully no other Eggo products were impacted by the recall. Go here for more details and the full list of the 25 states these were sold in.
Kellogg is asking that people who purchased affected product(s) discard it and contact the company for a full refund. Consumers can contact Kellogg’s by calling 1-800-962-1413, Monday through Friday, 9AM– 6PM ET or by going here.
(Thanks, Mande!)
Thank you for adding this! My husband mentioned it last night and I hadn’t heard a thing about it. Thankfully these weren’t the waffles I had in the freezer!
Oh good! You’re welcome Laura!
Thank you so much for posting this! These are the only waffles we eat. Glad my husband forgot to pick them up the last time he went shopping! There’s a reason for everything😊
You’re welcome!
Oh noooo!!! I store mine in a freezer bag, since the box is bulky 🙁 I’d hate to throw them out, but I’m sure getting sick would not be worth it :/
do you know if this is on the blueberry variety?
Looks to be just the Nutri Grain Whole Wheat. Hope this helps!
