My husband has been wanting a new “boom box” for the beach. I thought wow, what a great Christmas gift. I ordered it and ran down to my local (20 miles away) Kmart to pick it up and get home before he did. As I finished my transaction the clerk said to me, ” remember you only have 30 days to return it.” I told her it is to be a Christmas gift, could she maybe mark the receipt? She said an emphatic NO! “There are no exceptions, 30 days!” This stinks! Do I tell him now and ruin the surprise or just assume he will like it, and if he doesn’t? My neighbor was unable to make a return to sears after 30 days. Is this their new policy? (Sears & Kmart). This will definitely limit my buying there.
