I know almost all the Nerf guns are recommended for age 8+, but all the neighborhood kids play with them and my 4 yr old ends up borrowing a gun to join. She has trouble firing most, but I know she can shoot some (not sure which). Can anyone recommend one that’s easy for littler hands to operate?

My grandson is 2 but we have to cock them for him that’s the downfall

My 4.5 year old son can use the one on the upper left hand corner. However, the circle thing on the front got misaligned and it won’t shoot correctly. So I bought him the nerf zombie strike hammershot blaster from Target. One of the reviews said it is much easier to shoot for younger children.

We actually got my daughter an automatic one! It’s the Powerbelle blaster. I think we paid around $30 for it a year or so ago but it is great and allows her to keep up with us (yes my husband and I have Nerf guns). There’s nothing quite like taking your frustrations out on those you love with foam darts 🙂

Our sons have the ones that shoot the round disks. We actually thought those might be less likely to poke an eye and my 4 year old got the hang of it fairly quickly.

Thanks! With all boys Nerf guns are perfect for gift closet.

Try the ones with the finger shooting, and not the ones that need to be pumped.

      You’re welcome Sara!
