Went to Sandals Ochi Rios this summer, best vacation of my life!!!! Will definitely be returning!

I just checked it runs $4k for a week for two. This is including all the promotions for the most basic package offered. What does it all include, or rather how much more money we are to spend over there without anything much extra – just really food and maybe 1 thing to do like a catamaran or something like it? Does it include food and or drinks? If you do not mind to share a bit of your experience. Thanks!

I stayed in the Bahamas resort about 20 years ago for my honeymoon. All food and drink is included. They also said tips were not necessary but we tipped the staff anyway. It was very nice but very expensive. 20 years and two kids later we have not been back. Maybe in a few years when the kids are in college and out of the house.

It’s all inclusive, meaning foods and drinks. Not sure if alcoholic drinks are included

We went to St. Lucia for our honeymoon in 2010 and everything is included food (13 different restaurants or a buffet), alcohol beverages (5 bars, 1 swim up, and buffet bar), beach activities (paddle boats, sailing, and others). They also had nightly entertainment like karaoke, street dance (stilt walkers, fire dancers, and others). Access to 2 other resorts by free shuttle where there were different restaurants, bar, and entertainment. Regarding tips, we were told of you don’t tip them since Sandals pays for their living expenses and wage. Best vacation we were ever on and want to go back in the worst way. Definitely worth the money!!

I went to Ochi on Jamaica last March and will be going to St. Lucia La Toc this March. Lowest package with round-trip airfare will be around $4,500 per couple… Sandals are all adults only and prices per couple. It includes airfare, shuttles to the resort, all food and alcohol and all gratuities. It is a cashless resort and they do not allow tips. You also get all day activities, nighttime entertainment and water sports such as snorkeling. The only thing extra is spa services and excursions… but there is so much to do and see you don’t need either. It does sound like a lot of money, but when you do the math out for a week vacation it can be the same if not more if you paid individually. I like that you know exactly what you will be spending before you leave your house, plus you don’t have to worry about money while on vacation, just sit back and indulge!

So… you will get top scale of everything. It is beyond amazing. I stayed in Greneda..Nothing I could complainabout. It’s like going out to your towns nicest restaurants every night and day..and breakfast.. and going to midday snacks and drink all you want whenever you want. amazing food. amazing everything.

I’ve been to sandals many times. It’s worth every penny. It includes everything. You will have an amazing time.

Awesome to hear that! Thanks for sharing!

It is an amazing experience! Definitely perfect for a honeymoon or special occasion. We had no out of pocket money there except for the few souvenirs we purchased. Great food, drinks, and lots of activities are all included!

We went to sandals Antigua for our honeymoon and had the best time!! All food drinks and many activities were included. Multiple pools beautiful fabulous food all the alcohol you can drink and gorgeous views. Total for 2 for 1 week was a little under 5k

We also went to Antigua for our honeymoon, but we stayed at The Blue Waters Hotel in a cove suite, it was amazing, that was 6 years ago, planning on going back.

We went to the Sandals Royal Caribbean in Jamaica a few years ago. It was about $5,000 for my husband and myself, including a week there and airfare, etc. This was the most expensive vacation we have ever taken, but it was amazing! The staff was there to make sure you had the most incredible experience of your life! Everything, including the food and all drinks (including alcoholic) were included. The food at the fine-dining restaurants was comparable to some of the best meals we have ever had. You need to make reservations for all the good restaurants, but you are allowed to eat at one per day. Such an amazing experience! Well worth it if you are looking for a moderate-expensive special getaway.

I went to Ocho Rios a couple of years ago and it was amazing. I just paid a plumber 7 grand to fix my bathroom pipes. I would have much rather paid the money to go here! The resorts are expensive but you are treated like royalty. It is totally worth the money. I wish I could afford it right now!

My question is regarding Small Business Saturday. Does anyone know if there is an incentive this year to use your American Express card?

    • Brandi

From what I have seen it is 2x the points, not a “rebate credit” as it has been in the past.

My husband and I are almost yearly visitors to the Sandals Resorts. We have been to several different locations. It is worth it for us because we are scuba divers. For each Sandals Resort, you can go on at least two free dives per day for certified divers. Good quality equipment is provided. If you go to independent places for diving, you may pay at least $100 per dive per person. All inclusive drinks and food is just a bonus for us. We mainly go to add to our yearly scuba diving fix. Hope that helps if there are any scuba divers out there.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks so much for the awesome feedback Michelle! Glad to hear you have had so many great vacations with Sandals!

I’m a travel agent and love booking Sandals properties for my clients. I also travel there quite often and love the luxury brand. It is amazing!! You can’t beat this sale though and Sandals Inn is the most affordable in my opinion.
