Am I able to purchase this for myself, even if I’m not a member?

  2. savieshoppe

this is only for 3 months?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Yes, for 3 Months.

  3. Stufforstine

If you paid at this rate for three months, it would be $132 for the full year. Doesn’t seem like a savings

    • brandon

It is not a savings. This benefits someone who primarily uses amazon during the holidays and not looking for a long term commitment.

      • Bethany

Exactly. It’s for the person who likes peanut butter sometimes but doesn’t want to buy the warehouse size 10 pound jar because it would go to waste. This IS a savings to someone who doesn’t need prime year round. My sister/BIL sign up only during the holidays for a free trial because they only need prime for sending gifts.

    • Erin

Yeah, monthly rate is $10.99, so this is actually three cents worse than paying one month at a time. Convenient for giving, though.

    • NV

Definitely not a savings but brilliant on the part of Amazon – their per month rate is higher and it’s an opportunity to “hook” people in with their service. Sometimes a free trial of one month isn’t long enough to really get anyone hooked.

Also good if truly gifting. Gave my mom a full membership for Christmas last year, she never touched it. This is a nice option if you want to introduce someone to the wonderful world of free 2-day shipping, but don’t want to buy a full membership.

This is OT but has anyone ever ordered from Dick’s Sporting Goods? I placed an order 8 days ago, it said it would arrive in 3-6 days but it hasn’t even shipped yet. I’m wondering if this is normal for them or not? Never placed an online order with them and this was a Christmas gift so I’m getting nervous about it

    • Kb

I ordered hiking boots and it was almost 2 weeks for delivery.

      • Amy

        Thank you!

    • woopdee

I would try an online chat with them. For both my recent orders they were marked as shipped within 2 days.

      • Amy

I emailed support last night but haven’t heard back. I’ll try chat after work if I haven’t heard back. Thank you!

    • Natalie

I would call customer service. I’ve ordered from Dicks sporting goods many times and my orders have always come pretty quickly.

    • Amy

I’m incredibly disappointed in them. They cancelled my order due to the item being out of stock.

      • duongt11610

The same thing happened to my friend. She bought a Northface jacket from them last year on Black Friday. It took them 2 weeks to send her a cancellation notice due to being out of stock. She was really mad and won’t shop there anymore.

Please cancel my Amazon Prime. I had a month’s free trial. Thanks
