Recycle Candles Into Adorable Candy Jars!🍬

Hi Collin! This Christmas, I decided to use recycled candle jars to make frugal DIY gifts for our neighbors and friends. Thanks to Hip2save, I scored a deal on Bath and Body Works candles. They come in beautiful glass jars with Christmas tree lids. After I was done burning the candles, I cleaned them out and took a hot glue gun and glued satin red ribbon around the candles. I filled the jars with mini candy canes. A box of mini candy canes is $1 at Dollar Tree. I then wrapped the candy jars in the FREE cellophane and ribbon I got at the store when I bought the candles! Each gift cost only 50 cents (from the candy!).

great idea! I have been saving these beautiful candle jars but didn’t have a good idea for them. Now that I do, another idea came to mind: DIY sugar scrub containers.

I use them cleaned out as apothecary jars in my bathroom! Three in a row to hold qtips, cotton balls, and flossers

such a cute idea!! I’m so mad at myself for tossing them out in a fit of decluttering madness!!!

I have *so many* Yankee candle jars. I wish they were cute like these . . , and didn’t say “Yankee Candle”!

What do you use to clean the jars?

    • Kristen

Once you pry the metal disc from the bottom out, you can hear in microwave and clean out melted wax with a paper towel. Otherwise you can put in hit water and the wax will melt that way too.

Stick them in the freezer for a few hours and the wax pops out like a dream!

      • Claudia Medina

I freeze as well and the wax pops right out! No mess!

Just discovered this unintentionally myself! I painted my ceiling (and never plan on doing so again!) so I’ve been blowing out my candles outside to keep the “smoke” out. I’ve left some out overnight and I noticed that the candles want to pop out of the jar.

          • Susie

You don’t have to take your candles outside. I just put the lid on and it extinguishes itself. All the smoke stays contained in the jar.

Soak it in hot soapy water and the wax residue comes off easily.

Is anybody going to get 3 dollar hand soap today
