How safe is this – I have always been weary of ordering checks from a 3rd party vendor – you are essentially disclosing your account access information to a business that may or may not be able to protect that information…
Pretty sure not even banks can secure information with all these hacks going on. But, I have ordered from this company for years and before I was old enough to even have checks my mom was ordering from them.
I’ve ordered from them a few times over the years, and I’ve never had an issue.
I have ordered from many different 3rd parts companies. This one has been around a long time. It may have been previously “Current” – you know the stationary company? I’ve ordered from the old Current, from Walmart (they have LOTS of cool designs and most of their prices are about the same as these) and from Bradford Exchange. I wouldn’t worry. You know every bank won’t hold you liable for any checks you don’t write… Good luck!

Please do not forget to ask if your bank/credit unions (at least my credit union does) lets you order 2 boxes for free each year. No, they are not pretty, but free. Because I do not write checks often, I’m still on my first 2 boxes.

I haven’t used them but just checked their BBB profile (linked from the top right of their page) and customer review rating is only 13% positive and is 78 % negative with 370 complaints. Please take time to review before ordering and decide for yourself.
Checks unlimited is owned by deluxe corporation which prints at least half of the US banks checks… So you are very likely getting your checks through your bank from their parent company anyway. Totally legit, I used to work there. Yes they try to up sell you on your order, but say no to all the “extras” and you have a great deal on checks from the exact same company the banks use. I have bought all my checks from them even after leaving the company.
