If you’re in the market for a pressure cooker, or buying one as a gift, I recommend spending a little more for a European one made of stainless steel, with redundant safety features. You can find them on Overstock and elsewhere regularly for well under $100. The brands to look for are Magefesa and Fagor, or if you want to spend a little more Kuhn-Rikon. I’ve had a Magefesa for years, and it’s incredibly safe, easy to use, and convenient — invest in a good one, and you’ll use it for a lifetime!
