    Anyone have this?

I bought the 17 piece set for my MIL for Christmas and she likes it. The knives are very sharp. It is only $5 more today than what I pd just before Christmas.

Got this last month when it was also on “sale”. Was excited to see what this “$150” set would be like in person.

Received it from Amazon 2 days later. Opened the package and was greeted with a strong chemical smell. Mostly from the spray painted block. Not sure about you but I don’t want my knife touching toxic spray paint.

Went back to Amazon to read the reviews about all the rust issues and decided it wasn’t really a deal. Returned it back to Amazon and had to cover the $10 return.

It’s it looks like too good of a deal. You know what they say.

I have had this set for 6 months and still love it just as much as the day I received them. I had no issues with any chemical smell, none of them have rusted/broken/chipped. I love the feel of them in my hand and they are extremely sharp. I use them on a daily basis and have zero complaints. I do take good care of my kitchen items to ensure they last, so for these I always hand wash of course and make sure they are completely dry before replacing them in the block.

I appologize, I just realized my set is slightly different than this one, but is the same brand.

I have this & like it. My only complaint is that the bread knife isn’t really big & the steak knives aren’t serrated.

I have these knives and I completely regret buying them. One of the main knives broke after my second time using it. I also don’t like that the steak knives aren’t cerated. I’m shocked at all the good reviews, But I guess I got what I paid for because on sale, they are inexpensive for knives.

Oh bummer! Sorry to hear they did not hold up well Deanne! Thanks so much for sharing your experience!

Knife block sets aren’t a good deal. Every kitchen only needs 3 good quality knives to get the job done: chef, paring, and serrated. Throw in a pair of scissors if you’d like. I bought sets for years before I learned this and spent money on my current 3 knives and never looked back. Buy one at a time if they’re too pricey for you, but don’t waste money on a 20 set. They give you that many because they break and rust easily.

Strongly agree not to mention I don’t think knife blocks are really sanitary, I mean how do you clean inside of it?

      • Heather C

Yes, with a q-tip and vinegar. Then I blow it dry
