They do have coupons that they email sometimes (10% off?). You could do an our generation doll from Target. or just spend the money on the doll and get the clothes and playsets from Target. That is what we did. My daughter doesnt know the difference with the accessories, but is very aware of what an AG doll vs an OG doll looks like.
My mom bought my young girls a Madame Alexander doll. Much cheaper and the dolls are lovely.
I also highly recommend Madame Alexander they are comparable to AG they are very nice quality.
I would suggest Ebay or Craigslist. You can frequently find them for cheaper prices there.
I think some people have received a 20% coupon recently. I’ve seen some before in the trade post on the Hip2Save app.
Also, if you want a used one and are on FB you can add some of the American Girl buy/sell/trade groups. They have some good used dolls for good prices occasionally!

You’re welcome! There are great deals on there. Just make sure you watch the shipping and handling charges. I find those to be pretty steep.
Usually around the holidays, some Costco get gift cards for AG that are usually $80 for $100 worth. You should also sign up for their free catalogs and emails. I often get coupons from both.

I combined a 20% off coupon with a sale in December. I think I ended up paying $80 for Lea! Sign up for the catalog and keep your fingers crossed for a coupon!

We are taking my daughter to get a doll for her 6th birthday this summer, but I just grabbed a $10 camping set at wal-mart today that is hiding until christmas. They also had a $5 scooter.
