Not trying to start an argument, but some people enjoy using luxury products (especially when we can get a good deal). There’s a saying we use in Cooking Classes for kids at my job, “Don’t yuck my yum.” It means don’t put down what makes another person happy.
On a separate note, I recommend looking at swatches before you purchase, as some of these are cream shadows.
To further what you are saying (cuz I agree)…
Some products are worth the price. There’s a lot of factors when computing value in cosmetics. Such as pigment and longevity. You may get an eyeshadow for $3, but have to use twice as much to get the color, plus touch up during the day.
I think before people bash the cost, they need to stop and think about the fact that there’s a reason these companies can charge this price AND they are still a major player in the cosmetics game.
Because you always get what you pay for. High-quality makeup is expensive b/c it has a higher concentration of pigment (which costs more $) than filler (which costs less to produce) compared to cheap, drugstore cosmetics. More filler means that a product has a shorter wear time, less coverage, doesn’t blend as well, and isn’t as pigmented.
Besides, if someone can afford to buy high-end makeup then how is that different from people buying $5 lattes, designer handbags, or a vacation to Disney? We see those posts all the time here and nobody comments about how it costs too much lol.
It is a deal for those who spend $26! My mom only uses specific brands because of skin reaction and she spends more than $26 for eye shadow. Don’t even discuss concealer cream yowsa.
