   Could this be used for dishes that call for regular canned tomatoes such as tomato sauce pasta, soups or would they taste totally different?

  Yeah, they are basically Rotel. I wouldn’t put them in a pasta dish as it is really spicy and would change the flavor but they are great for things like tacos and chili.
