Hi there. Thank you so much for all you do. I just wanted to let you know I had the worst couponing experience today at Target. I had five coupons and they all matched exactly the items I was buying but three of them would not scan and if they didn’t Scan they will not take them. I explain to them that they are manufacturer coupons and they are legit and they refused to take them and said that fit coupon does not scan they consider it fraud according to their computer system. I just thought it was crazy that they wont. And they also told me that coupons.com as a third party sight and they will not accept them either. Anyone else have such experience?

You’re welcome Sue! So sorry to hear about your experience at Target today πŸ™ It does seem that some Targets are not accepting coupons that give issues when scanning. Were you able to check with your customer service to see if they would be able to help you grab the savings?

      • sue

Yes that was actually the manager. They said they have been getting a lot of fraud so if the coupon won’t be accepted automatically by the computer they are not allowed to push through anymore even if it matches the item exactly. That really sucks for us that coupon legally. I can understand where they were coming from but it makes no sense to clip coupons anymore because of all the trouble that we have to go through now with all the cashiers thinking that most of these coupons are not legit

And keep your awesome videos coming. It makes me and my kids left and we love watching your videos thanks again for all you do

Thanks for the sweet feedback Sue! Happy to hear you enjoy them! You’re very welcome!

i have the same problem with my Targets. They also won’t let you use more than 1 of the same coupon. πŸ™

Yes, same happened to me yesterday. I was told that if the coupon does not scan they wouldn’t accept it. It was very embarrassing for me when the cashier called the manager and she scanned the coupon but didn’t work and said that it was a copy.

yes, There are 3 targets within 10 miles of me and one of them I never go to because management has trained staff to not accept any coupons that beep. At another, they only accept one coupon of any kind, not the usual 4 that target permits, even though you are buying 4 items. In the end, there is only one good target near me that is willing to read coupons and accept them even if they beep if they match the product. I hope the training management from the other Targets never go to that Target, or I’ll be out of luck and stop shopping there all together. Even at my good Target, I have to pick the staff that I get in line with. There are certain types of people here in Los Angeles that have never couponed or their parents never have, so they have a hard time reading and accepting coupons. You just have to look for the nice cashier that seems to have a reading comprehension level of at least 6th grade. Of course this is just my experience.

I have had a lot of trouble getting my Target to accept coupons lately as well. It makes for an embarrassing and high-pressure situation at check out. I often feel obligated to keep the item(s) because there are lines, and they’ve already been rung up, even if my deals don’t work out. Its been very disappointing!

    • Camila

      I totally agree with you!!

I so wish we had a Target. I’ve been dying to trying the raspberry magnum but I’m cheap haha

    • Taya

Honestly I don’t think you’re missing out. I was very disappointed with the raspberry magnum. It’s simply raspberry syrup in between that layer along with chocolate syrup. The ice cream portion unfortunately lacks that raspberry flavor you might have tasted at those delicious small town ice cream parlors.

Lots of stores coupon policy says if it doesn’t scan it won’t be accepted. I have had coupons that didn’t scan and I didn’t argue because that is their policy

  6. Jules

i bought 3 trident gum and the 50 cents off coupons that were afixed on them stated ‘doesn’t match the item ” when cashier scanned them…it must be their computer systems rejects a lot of coupons since beginning of this year idk

I just got back from Target & I did the Dove chocolate eggs deal. The coupson.com coupon for the $1/2 beeped & fortunately, the cashier was nice enough to flag down someone that could/would help her. She told the cashier to push it through, but then again, that was the only coupon I was using. The cashier told me they were cracking down on coupons lately. I have had other “bad” coupon experiences before (diaper deals) where they would refuse to take more than 2 like coupons… It’s really too bad that each Target has (or can) make up their own rules because really, it’s the legal couponers that get punished for the fraudulent behavior of the bad ones.

I was at Target the other day with a couple of printable coupons (in black and white). The cashier didn’t even scan it. She said they don’t accept ‘that’ kind of coupons anymore!

Magnum bars are so delicious! The caramel and the peanut butter ones are so good! Thanks!

You’re so welcome! Glad to hear how yummy they are! πŸ˜‰
