I prefer Persil over Tide – it has become my number one laundry soap. Whenever I use it, there is no need for fabric softener.

I switched from Tide to Persil. It washes really clean. My husband works in a restaurant, and this clean all his greasy smelly clothes with no problem. It might smell too perfumey if you sniff it out of the bottle, but once it dried up, the clothes smell nice, not overpowering IMO.

Absolutely love Persil. It does leave a scent but my family doesn’t have any sensitivities so I don’t mind. It reminds me of how laundry used to smell when my mom did the laundry.

i Thought it’d be easier to post this than email Collin, but I got a email from DSW today with $20 off a $49 purchase and get a $20 gift card when you buy boots $49.99 or higher. Not sure if you get the gift card only if you spend $49.99 or if you buy them priced $49.99 before the $20 off. If it’s the latter option, it makes for a great deal.

Sweet!! Thanks for sharing with us Grace!

I got 2 $# coupons, just hit back button.

    • Rena

sorry for the typo, 2 $3 coupons for Persil.

<3 this brand of laundry cleaner – we used to buy this in the UK when we pronounced it PERsil – now it is known as PerSIL in the US LOL. It is hands down the BEST laundry cleaner on the market, and when combined with $3 coupons and sales at Target, Walmart, CVS or Walgreens, it is a real cost saver. It is better on its own compared to using Tide plus Oxyclean IMHO.

How neat! Thanks for sharing! Good to know how well it has worked on your clothes compared to other brands!

I’m originally from the UK and laughed when I heard how it was pronounced here in the US 🙂

Can I use ( 2) $3 off coupon, bec.I was able to print 2 of it before it says I already reached my limit?

    • ShopHopper

Yes, I have used 4 coupons at one time at CVS and also Target. Two printed from my laptop, 2 from my phone. Hope this helps.

    • Haseena

I haven’t printed one yet, so can’t say for sure, but from Collin’s post it looks like you can’t use 2 $3 coupons. It probably says on the fine print one like coupon per shopping trip.

    • Myrah

Unfortunately you can only use 1 coupon. The fine print states that “LIMIT OF ONE (1) IDENTICAL COUPON PER SHOPPING TRIP.

Can anyone tell me if the sensitive one is scented at all? I get itchy when I use anything that has a fragrance in it! (I can’t even use fabric softener, because I get all hives-y)

    • Laura

I wouldn’t use this product then. It’s full of nasty chemicals. You’re better off with a natural product. Google – My Green Fills. I love this company. All natural.

    • moria

The sensitive one used to have a light scent, but it doesn’t anymore. This is the only laundry detergent that I’ve ever used that I didn’t have to add Oxi Clean to a single load. However, I will no longer be purchasing it. I do have sensitive skin, but prefer a scent. It’s very hard to find a sensitive detergent with a scent. From now I I will be using method detergent and adding Oxi Clean. When using method, I don’t need Oxi Clean for every load, just loads that are extra dirty, like my husband’s work clothes.

I hear good things about Persia, understand it works well.

Please look at the Environmental Working Group’s assessment of Persil laundry before you buy. (ewg. org). Persil contains Sodium Borate, a known reproductive and development hazards for humans. It received an F rating, the worst. Synthetic Fragrances and toxic chemicals are harmful to you and your family and the environment. Manufacturer’s do not have to disclose all ingredients and they are not regulated! Choose Wisely.

    • Cruz

      I agree with Elizabeth
      After finding out all of these harmful chemicals in these diff detergents;
I have been making my own natural laundry soap for us, and it don’t take that much time at all for a huge batch!

      • Mel R.

What do you use to make your laundry detergent? I tried a few years ago and found it didn’t work well at all, esp white clothes. Many of the ‘recipes’ say to use Borax, but that is Sodium Borate anyway, so it’s still not a healthy alternative.

    • Laura

Love EWG! Too many chemicals in our products today. And people wonder why so many people have allergies, disorders, and are dying of cancer. Our bodies were not made to handle this crap.

  9. Razzies

This detergent is listed in Consumer Reports as one of the BEST cleaners. In this instance, I’ll take the chemicals for clean clothing.

  10. Nicole S.

I love Persil and it smells so good when you are washing and your clothes get so clean.
