Has anyone else has problems getting the $5 Kohls cash emailed to them after an in store pickup? It’s happened three times to me!!! I’ve had to chat with them and they can only add points to my rewards account which I have to wait until the first of the month to use!!

    • Imsofrugal

I was told that I would have to make a purchase and then send them my order number & they would adjust the price. It also had a lot of stipulations, like no buy 1 get 1, no free ship to store, etc. I told them that I had never had to do that with any other Kohl’s cash & was then told that they would waive the shipping charge this one time.

  2. Michele

I picked up an order from the Veterans Day sale and did not get a five dollar credit

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Darn! Were you able to contact customer service for help?

  3. Jill

Pls. forgive my ignorance, but what is this insta pot craze? How is this compared to crock pot? TIA.

    • Katie

You can cook frozen meat in like an hour. It’s amazing.

      • Rose

        It’s like a microwave?

        • Katie

          No. It pressurizes the food.

    • Kara

Think of it like a crock pot on roids
      It cooks the food faster

    • Buckeyemom

Hi…it is basically an electronic pressure cooker 🙂

    • Lydia

      It’s like a crockpot on steroids…hahaha
What you would cook in a crockpot for 6-8 hours, you could cook in a pressure cooker (InstaPot is a brand of pressure cooker) in about a half hour.
I do soups and stews for about 25 minutes. If I use frozen meat, I add an additional 10 minutes to the cook time. Perfect everytime.
I salt/pepper chicken and/or ribs…. cook about 20 minutes. Pull out, put on pan, coat with BBQ sauce, pop in oven for 5-6 minutes… best BBQ EVER!
Only takes 2-4 minutes to steam fresh vegetables and fish.
Perfect hard boiled eggs, 2 dozen at a time, only 6 minutes cooking time.
I can cook a large amount of rice, takes about 12 minutes (after coming to pressure). NEVER BURNS. Perfect everytime.
I have cooked an entire frozen 4# beef roast…. FROZEN…. in under an hour. Super delish.
The key is to make sure you have at least one cup of liquid so that the unit can come to pressure. (My unit takes about 7-10 minutes to come to pressure), and then the cook times apply after that.
Basically, anything you can make in a crockpot you can make in a pressure cooker, but at a fraction of the time. I have also played around and adapted lots of other sorts of recipes. There are so many facebook groups that have tips, recipies, etc. And of course, there’s Pinterest 🙂
I absolutely LOVE mine. I am actually upgrading to an 8qt (I have 6qt, which seems to be about standard size.) We are a family of 5 with 2 teenagers, and it’s barely big enough with no left overs. That’s the only reason I’m adding on a larger size unit. I’ll probably hang on to my 6 quart for sides, rice, etc.

I’d like to know what the craze is too 🙂 I have an instant pot and I rarely use it. I cook ribs in it and thats about it. Whenever I’ve cooked any other meat in it my family can tell (so can I) and the meat doesn’t taste very good, and usually gets thrown out. I can’t decide if its the texture or flavor that is off – but it’s noticeable and it’s not good. However, ribs taste good so maybe I’m doing something wrong, but I always finishes them up on my grill. Personally, I like the flavor of a crock pot, grilled, baked, or cooked in my cast irons, 10 -1 over my instant pot. I’m sure I’m using it wrong because everyone seems to love it, but me. Can anyone post some good recipes that taste good and how they do it because my instant pot just sits in my pantry and takes up room, I’d love to use it more if my food tasted better.

      • Kim

I’m not sure if people realize that pressure cookers have been around for decades… this just has a timer… 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

        • Princess

I still have mine that you use on the burner and wait for it to reach the pressure before you release it. I grew up with my grandmother using pressure cookers. I have to admit that I do love my insta pot because of the quickness of it.

    • sonia

Surplus benefits!!! It’s a rice cooker, pressure cooker, slow cooker, and pot/pan all in one. So…you don’t need all of those gadgets anymore. It cooks fast and quality is whole lot better. You can make fresh yogurt in it…instead of buying the one with preservatives at store. You can also sautee your veggies right in it so don’t need to dirty your dishes. It’s stainless steel so you don’t have to worry about carcinogenic chemicals leaching into your food from nonstick. So it saves time and provides healthier/money saving options to you and your family. HTH. Plus, it doesn’t get cheaper than this deal! Just got one 🙂

  4. Rose

I’m curious about this insta pot too. If anyone can please explain the difference between this and a crockpot/ roaster. Is it similar to those appliances? I don’t have much space to add another appliance unless it will be used often.

    • Bebe

This would replace your slow cooker and various other cooking devices. It cooks food up to 70% faster. Everything cooks in one pot and you can even throw in frozen meat and have dinner done in under an hour. Your best bet would be to research it online. If you look it up on Amazon you’ll see that it has almost 40,000 reviews. This is the best price I’ve seen on this model which is the most popular one.

      • Rose

Thank you so much for your feedback! Now I am definitely going to get one.

  5. lauren

I am with you Jill. It is similar to a crock pot but quicker cook times and you can sear your meat and saute things etc. I haven’t used one before bought it about an hour ago since it was such a great deal. But everyone I talk to loves theirs and it’s the only thing they cook with. I am excited for it as we don’t have a dishwasher so easier clean up! With one pot verses the average 5 I use a night.

  6. Ashley

I’m trying to purchase it but it says that I️ won’t earn Kohl’s cash. Is it per $50 or $100?

    • ashley

If you are on the kohls app, at checkout they show how much you need to spend to get another kohls cash, not how many you are already earning. $50 pretax =$15 kohls cash

      • Ashley

        Thanks!!

      • Vjohnson

How long does it take to get the cash back and when can you use it?

  7. Sallys

If anyone sees a deal on the 8 quart please post! TIA

    • lovespring

You can cook hard beans in less than one hour.

  8. Nell

It’s a pressure cooker with extra features. My sister got us one for Christmas last year. I was afraid of it for a few months, but once I tried it–that was it. Our crock-pot went to the rummage sale box! It’s amazing! I love buying dry beans and cooking
them without all the soaking time.

    • Just passing through

Lol I’m afraid of mine right now hahahah

      • Lydia

I had mine for a year before I worked up the courage to play with it and figure it out. Now I’m mad I wasted a year of my life without this gem having an active role…. LOL Seriously, I use mine at least twice a week, usually more. I think I’m going it invest in an extra insert pot. I’d probably use it every day if I didn’t have it soaking in the sink some days… haha

  9. Laura

I don’t see anywhere in the kohls sure where it says you will earn an extra $5 for store pickup. Anyone know what’s up with this?

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi Laura! Try adding it to your cart as if you want it shipped to see if you get a pop up pick up option with the Kohl’s Cash offer. Hope this helps!

  10. Melanie

I was at my local Walmart last night and saw their pallet of these for Black Friday and it has them listed as $45 but I’m not sure if it’s the same model number or size. Anyone know?

    • Sharon

I believe the Walmart one is a smaller size

    • Alex

Walmart one is 5 qts. This one is 6 qts. However, after Kohl’s cash and 15% off, it is almost the same price!

    • Amanda

Wal-Mart black Friday special is 5 qt, Kohls is 6qt

    • heather

The kohls one is also the 7-in 1.

  11. Tiffany

Finally decided to snag one! I’ve been looking at getting one for months and this is the best price I’ve seen. Thanks so much!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

You’re so welcome Tiffany! Happy you could score the deal! 🙂

  12. Krishna

Thanks so much for the post! Just bought one after months of debating!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      You’re welcome!

  13. Deona

Bought one! I remembered I had a couple gift cards so I only paid $30 and I’m getting 5% cashback Discover.

  14. Carrie

I bought this last week for about $2 more. And got $10 Kohl’s cash. Just realized it was only good for one week which ended yesterday. I rarely shop at Kohl’s and now I remember why…

    • Paulina

You can buy it again and return the one you bought last week. Kohl’s has the best no questions asked return policy! I love Kohl’s!

  15. Erica

My parents arrived on Monday and gave me an early Christmas present and it was this pot. I can’t wait to use it today! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      How sweet! Happy Thanksgiving! 🙂

  16. Sam

Is the 6 quart an appropriate size for a family of 5?

    • Penny

      Yes, you will love it!

    • hellfire gainz

It will work in a pinch. You definitely want to upgrade to the 8qt and join instant pot community on fb for recipes and tips.

  17. jackie

This sound interesting. I would love to get this product is need to invest in a pressure cooker or insta pot need to do a comparison check to see which is a better produvct

    • Mel

Instant Pot IS a pressure cooker. Instant Pot is just the name brand.

  18. Mommyof4

Does anyone know of a cheap filler item at Kohl’s??? Thanks!

    • K

Birthday cards that hold a gift card are 1.99.

  19. Melissa

Washcloths. They are at least useful!

  20. Lisa

I’m having trouble applying the savebig15 code to my purchase. Can anyone tell me how to get the code to work?

    • tracy

      extra15

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hmm, have you been able to try a different browser? Hope that helps!

  21. alienna21

Anyone know of a good Black Friday deal on the 8 quart size?

  22. Gracie

Anyone going to the kohls store today or tomorrow?
I have 2x kohls $10 off $10 coupon (these can only be used instore Thursday or Friday)
Looking to trade for $15 kohls cash- I want to purchase an item only available on kohls.com (not instore)

please leave your email here so I can send you the coupons 😄

  23. Nicole

What is the best size? Family of 5.

    • hellfire gainz

      8 qt

    • heather

I have the 6 qt and it’s fine

    • Heather

I forgot to add that we’re a family of 6

    • Mel

We’re 6 (my family of 4, plus my parents), and it’s perfect for us. The only thing we don’t like and I will stick with using the oven or stovetop, is chicken. it just takes on a weird texture in the pressure cooker, even when you sear them first. But ribs, pork, ham, soups, stews, beans, rice.. all come out just wonderful in the pressure cooker!

      • Mel

sorry, forgot to say we have a 6 qt as well!

  24. Lorib.

It’s says I have to spend $32 more to get $15 in Kohls cash?

    • Lorib.

I’m trying to order the Instapot.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hmm, are you seeing by chance the amount you need towards your Next Kohl’s cash? I find my $15 Kohl’s cash listed and then that message for $32 more for my Next $15 Kohl’s cash. Hope that helps!

  25. tracy

I cooked our Thanksgiving 8 lb turkey breast in the 6 quart instapot today. It just barely fit but the meat came out moist and tender. It took 35 minutes, plus the pressurizing time. So about 50 minutes total.

  26. Kidsallgone

I put this in my cart this afternoon because I wanted to shop more online after dinner. I was planning on picking it up at the store for the $5 but when I just checked my cart it said it was not available anymore at my store 😡

    • Tracy

There is still free shipping and the deal is active online.

      Happy thanksgiving!

  27. kads

    got it..thanks

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      You’re welcome!

  28. Gabby

I saw the Bella 6qt pressure cooker on sale on Macy’s for $39.99. It includes 10 one-touch preset functions: pressure cooker, sauté/browning, slow cooker, soup/stew, meat/chicken, rice/risotto and steam. Only thing missing is yogurt, but this is my 1st pressure cooker, so I’ll learn the tricks on this one and if later on I need to upgrade, I’ll see what’s around. So I called Kohl’s and they price matched the price for me. I ordered 2, after the 15% discount my total was $67.98, so I got free shipping plus $15 Kohls cash and on top of that, there’s a $25 rebate, so after is all said and done I’m gonna end up paying less than $9 bucks for 2 pressure cookers. I’m sooooo excited I can barely wait for them to come!!!

  29. kIM

Just tried it (11-24-17) 12:40 est and says not available to ship and when you try pick up that is not available either:(

  30. Melissa

    Out of stock.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Bummer!

  31. ggny

Still out of stock. Kohls CS said they are unable to see when it’ll be back, but to keep checking!
Hopefully it’ll be back for Cyber Monday!
