As you all know, I snag quite a few FREE magazine subscriptions on a weekly basis! I’ve realized that reading the articles, tips and recipes is really not the ONLY thing you can get out of a magazine. Here are some other ways to get the most out of all those FREE subscriptions!

After I’m done looking through a magazine and reading articles that interest me I always flip through again to look for coupons. More magazines then you’d think have coupons floating around in them. I found numerous healthy product coupons in the latest issue of Shape and Cosmo sometimes has a few too. You can also almost always find them in Woman’s Day, Family Circle, Good Housekeeping and lots of other similar titles. This is a great way to build up your coupon stash without having to spend a dime!

The other thing I always do is flip through each magazine and tear out all the perfume samples. In the last issue of Cosmo I literally found over five free perfume samples and I usually find at least one or two in other magazines as well. In my bathroom I have a drawer that’s just stuffed to the brim with free perfume samples. I love it! I get to wear a new fragrance everyday! As you can see I NEVER buy perfume, unless of course I’m snagging it for free!

One last idea… is well to be creative, think outside the box. My son is constantly working on fun school projects that require him to cut out pictures, so he’s now easily able to do this with all the magazines we have on hand. For Valentines day I’m planning on making a cute love letter/story for my hubby and will be using a lots of the love related pictures from all the magazines. I also wrap presents with the magazine pages. They look very unique and cute when there done!

Good ideas. I already save mine for school projects, but I LOVE the perfume sample idea. I’m going to have to start doing that!

I know it isn’t much but if you have a local Half Price Books they pay about .25 or so for each current months magazine (hey you got them for free anyway). Another few dollars profit depending on how many you have each month.

I give them to friends that have Dr visits to go to. They can bring them along and leave them. Make sure you take any address labels off first .
