My target had the leapsters for a “lower than advertised price” of $29 making them just $19 with coupon. Score!

  2. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’m not too new to coupon/sale shopping..but I am new to the more aggressive way of saving lol.

I was just wondering about the Target coupons combined with manufacture coupon. I googled for their policy in regards to doubling them and the links I got sounds like Targets website does not list their policy, but will email you it when requested.

About 10 people posted their policy (email response) in which it states that they DO combine Target store coupons with manufacturer coupons as long as you purchase the item. A question I always had on my mind. BUT they also state that many customers have problems completing transactions because the cashier/manager(s) won’t allow it.

Has anyone had a problem with Target excepting both kinds of coupons for the same item? I’m wondering if I have to make a copy of a customers response from Target and take it with me. I have not tried 2 coupons yet..but just in case.

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The $10 coupon is for Leapster2 and the sale is on the old version of Leapster…I doubt the scenario would work 🙁

  4. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Don’t forget about the Vitamin10 Water – Just came out in the 4/5 SS $1 off, they are $10 for $10

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Score! The leapster scenario works! But it’s even better. i Went today and the Leapster was actually on sale for $29 and I used the Leapster 2 coupon and it took! Leapster for $19. Yippee!

I am having some coupon anxiety though, if you have any suggestions please leave them for me at ScribbleInkCafe.com. It’s the lead post. Thanks!

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I went today and did the razor/gel deal, artisan bread, johnson and johnson qtips and vitamin water. I wanted to get the fruit snacks by the register but they had removed them ALL and replaced with betty crocker (in the market place slot) Maybe they’ve caught on to us 😉

To the person asking about doubling coupons I have had different experiences. My regular target here in town is FOREVER giving me a hassle about using two even though their corporate office has told me it is completely ok. My Supertarget up the road however never gives me a hassle and gladly takes any coupons offered. I really think it just depends. Here’s hoping you have a positive experience 🙂

    Anonymous,

Some people have had issues with cashiers not allowing a manuf. coupon and a Target coupon on the same item, so to be on the safe side bring a copy of their policy with you.

In the past I have also gone to customer service and gotten the credit back for the coupons they wouldn’t take at the register.

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

There is a deal at my Meijer with the fusion or venus. Buy razor and any refill, get a $10 gift card free (you gotta grab one at checkout). Factoring in the coupons, and that’s a great deal too.

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I got the Natures Source bathroom cleaner for $3.19 last week. I paid only $1.19 after coupons!

I’m feeling for the folks with coupon anxiety at Target. Thank goodness, my local Target is awesome with the coupons. Not only do I have NO problems stacking Target coupons with manf. coupons, the cashiers always ignore the limit of 1 on the Target coupons! How fabulous is that?

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My ad shows a selection of candy for $1.99…Not sure if Hershey’s Bliss are a part of this sale or not? If they are, there’s now a $1/1 Target Q for Hershey’s Bliss, as well as the $1/1 manufacturer Q that’s out there…Free chocolate! If anyone finds out if the Bliss are a part of that $1.99 sale, let us know!

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

are the Dole deals regional? I don’t recall seeing the $1.69 dole in my ad in central florida and I definitely didn’t see andy $1.19 Dole salad mix last week either.

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

i have a guestion for all of you…….i am new to this site and new to serious couponing. what does it mean when they say $1 coupon from 3/15RP for example? sorry if this is a stupid question!

    thank you,

    Jessica

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I must say I love your site and Have been saving huge. Got the air wicks, fusion razor, shaving cream, three johnson soaps, and fruit snacks for 1.47 after using my $5 gift card! I cant believe you can do that! Thanks for all your info you share!

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Jessica $1 coupon from 3/15RP means the coupon is from the March 15th redplum coupon circular from your paper. Other circulars are ss=smart source, PG for P&g. Some sites list the abbreviations for all the coupon circulars. Good Luck

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My Target here in Texas took my coupon with no problem. The green and silver Leapster were on sale and did ring up for $29… after the $10 coupon I got them for $19! Wahoo!!! I love a bargain especially if it means I can get some early Christmas shopping done.

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Lisa k,
Thanks so much for answering Jessica’s question. I couldn’t have said it better myself!:)

I was without the internet for most of the day, so I’m sorry for not being able to answer questions as promptly as I like to.

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    allysmom24,
Sorry for the confusion the Dole coupon is a Target coupon, NOT a Manufacturer coupon. You can print it off by clicking on the link I provide and scrolling down till you see the coupon.

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    allysmom24,
Oops, sorry! Now I see what you mean. Yes, these prices may be regional or just unadvertised. The Dole Coleslaw mix is usually not too expensive to begin with, so you should be able to still get a pretty great deal with the $1 coupon.

  19. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How do make a money maker? My target beeps – Do you have them scan the coupons first? When I say can you scan the coupons first they look at me like I am crazy then told me they needed to scan items first. Thanks for any help – I love this site!

  20. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I can’t believe Glade’s Scent and Spray is on sale for $6.50 at Target! That is a great price to begin with, but if you use the $4.00 coupon in the Sunday paper it’s a steal! I love mine, I got to try it from BzzAgent.com and I wanted to inform everyone what a great product it is. The clean Linen is the one I have and it smells like fresh laundry. It also saves you money by not going off when it is not needed.

Thanks hip2save.com and bzzagent.com for all your hard work.

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I always hand over the manufacturer coupons first and then after the cashier scans all of them I hand over the Target issued coupons. This usually helps with beepage!:)

  22. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Do they scan the MFC before the items or after. Thanks for your help. My Target is great but I don’t like it when it beeps at me.:)

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

They will need to scan all the manuacturer coupons AFTER all the items are scanned.

  24. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Here’s another reason to carry the coupon policy with you. I have been using the target coupons at my target for the past month. Tonight, they wouldn’t accept them – why I ask when they took the same ones a few days ago. She tells me it is because the coupon is for more than the cost of the item (fruit snacks) – I was in a rush so I just left it at that. I came home looked up their policies, if the coupon is of greater value then they will adjust it so that it takes off the cost of the item without overage. I am going back tomorrow with the items, my coupons and their policy. If they won’t adjust this then I will ask for a refund and do the whole thing over again. Live and learn I guess.

  25. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Toni:

Yes, you are right – I took the johnsons coupons to buy the soap buddies – coupons for 1/$1 and the soap was .97 each. He just couponed them for .97 off; but when he got to the $3/3 he said I would have to pay for some of them, but then my hubby stepped in and said, “why not calculate the difference – .97 x 3 = $2.91, So, make it that much off 3” The cashier was more than happy to help and he did just that.

So, in case anyone has problems like that, just have them do as my hubby suggested.

Oh and BTW – I only 3 weeks ago got into couponing, my coupon book is fat and very well organized :), and I have tons of name brand items bought and collected and I love it, Plus, I have not spent much at all.

My hubby who hates shopping is now cutting coupons before I wake up on Sunday and Wednesday mornings. hehe –

He is like a kid in the candy store when we are in line. I have to tell him to calm down and he practically pushes me out of the way to hand over the coupons and pay. He just loves shopping with me. He will grab the book and start finding deals in the store – it is great!!

Never thought my hubby would ask me if we an go shopping today, everyday 🙂

I did a calculation and I save over 73% on my grocery bill and sometimes more on my everyday non food items. That is HUGE!

Thank you for this blog – wish I could hug you and thank you and show you my kids and let them hug you and thank you too!

  26. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

What about the Target coupons that say one per transaction but the mfr is off of 2. Do they usually give you trouble scanning two in one for that purpose.

  27. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Shannon,
That would make no sense if they did since the coupon states that you have to buy 2 to use it.
