Alright, once again I need to get something off my chest…

This site is NOT a site about debating, arguing or mean comments. I want my site to be upbeat and positive. A place you can count on when you want to save money and make the most of your coupon stash. I’m by NO means perfect and this blog isn’t either.

I also want you all to know that I can’t please everyone. I try… but it’s impossible to do! I also try to always follow the rules when it comes to couponing and saving money. However, there is usually somewhat of a grey area on such topics of store coupon policies, using coupons correctly, buying the correct products and the list goes on. Like I said above, I’m not PERFECT and definitely don’t know everything there is to know about coupons.

Lots of deals I post on here will be YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary) type situations. Meaning that the deal may work for one person, but may not for another. This happens a lot when I post deals about buy one get one free sales and using 2 coupons. Some cashiers will allow it, some won’t. You can read my thoughts on this issue here.

I’m sorry for not always being accurate with the deals I post. I do make mistakes all the time and can’t guarantee that I won’t in the future. What I can guarantee is that I WILL try to post the very best deals for all of you and help each of you SAVE money. I mean, that is what my site’s about, isn’t it?

Lets all try to keep things upbeat. I think it’s great when we try to work as a team and not against one another. One example is when we “Coupon Hunt” on OldNavyWeekly.com. I had so much fun on those nights and it wasn’t just because of the high value coupons… it was actually because of all the great comments posted and the way we were helping one another out.

To sum it up, I’m a young sensitive mom trying to pinch my pennies and help all of you do the same. You can read more about my family and I here. Now lets get back to our regularly scheduled program!

Also not sure what happened but wanted to let you know your blog is inspiring. I’m a nurse and I work the night shift (7P-7A). I have two small children as does most of the night shift 🙂 And usually when it gets slow around 3am myself and a few of my fellow nurses will gather around one of our computers to check out what you have added. It’s great and eveyone loves to catch a deal. So from the nurses working the graveyard shift we love you and eveything you’re doing.

Being a single mother of 3 children, working full time and going to school part time. I dont have alot of time to find the deals. Your website has helped me so much and I have saved so much money and time. I only spend 1 hour per week shopping when I used to shop for 2 or 3 hours weekly. Please take this as a big THANK YOU, and please continue.

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You do a fantastic job! Even if I do not have the same stores near me, I can expect a similar deal at one of my stores. Thanks for the heads up! Couponing is hard work and you make it much easier! Sometimes there are problems at the register. What a wonderful opportunity to practice staying cool and being pleasant! I agree that your site is the easiest to navigate that I have found.

  4. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You are AWESOME and by leaps and bounds my favorite blog! It is so obvious how hard you work at this blog and you’re right you will never please everyone, but I think you can rest assured that you please 99.9% of your faithful followers. Please keep doing what you do and KNOW that we all LOVE you and all that you do! Big hugs!

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I think that yours is definately one of the best “Money Saving” blogs out there, if not the best. And I read a lot of them trying to find the best deals. You do an AWESOME job! Us real shoppers, couponers, money savers have all had our bad experiences with deals not working or with planning a deal out wrong, that’s part of the game! Keep up the great work!

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

aw, I’m sorry to hear that someone would be rude. I don’t know who expect everything would work for them all the time, people all over the US are using this, we don’t have all the same stores, in the same places. Thanks for the great effort & helping all of us 🙂

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’ve never commented here before, but I read your blog all the time. Some deals have not worked out, but I still appreciate all of your hard work. You give us tons of info. You are doing a great job! As one young mom to another, I say thank you!

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Now I have to comment! I was going to comment yesterday and tell you what an awesome job you do and I didn’t. I love that you give us as much information as you can when you post about deals and coupons.

You do such an awesome job and, after discovering your site, you quickly became the number #1 deal blog out of the handful I check every day! I am on here multiple times a day to see what new deals you have for us and I know you work hard to get them to us.

I don’t expect everything to go ‘smoothly’ or to work perfectly every time. So nevermind those who do! It’s not a perfect world. But I greatly appreciate that you put everything out there so we can check them out for ourselves. I appreciate all you do! I’m sorry if others don’t…

Keep up the great work! By the way, I love the format of your posts. They’re so easy to read and find the deals and coupons. I LOVE your blog and it’s been such an amazing source of savings for my family. Thank you so much!

Wow, look at all these positive & upbeat comments, I am so happy to read these! I hope you don’t have to deal with too many complainers, dissenters & whiners in the future. The world really needs positive thinking and actions, we sure don’t need any more negativity than we’re already inundated with every day.

I turned to couponing late last year after being faced with unemployment and I can’t tell you how much help your blog has been for me & my family. And the great thing is, I was able to turn around and teach my friends and family so now they are saving money too. What an awesome feeling it is to be able to help people and look how many people you have helped. TOTALLY AWESOME! You rock girl, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your blog! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Don’t worry about the complainers….nothing will make them happy! 🙂

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I found your blog about a week ago, and I LOVE it! I love all the freebies you post as well as all the great deals! I recently started using coupons and I have saved so much! Keep up the good work! 🙂

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I can see that lots of people feel the same way I do but I had to add my two cents. I LOVE your blog and I think you do a great job. Sales and deals change all the time and vary by region and store anyone who doesn’t know that hasn’t been doing this for very long. I second the “SAHME ON THEM” for making you feel bad! We all know you do your best and your best is GREAT!! Don’t let them get you down!

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Your blog is great! You’re doing a good job.

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I am so sorry you’ve gotten any useless negative feedback – your site has helped me save hundreds of dollars and I appreciate all the valuable information you’ve shared.

The negative forces in the universe will be trumped by the positive forces.

In the meantime, as my boyfriend does with his website when he gets nasty e-mails or posts: delete, delete, delete. No response is sometimes the best response (especially when people are irrational or downright rude) – you gotta be proud of your vision and know you’re doing the best you can!!!

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just adding my support! Also, I live in Utah and we don’t always have the exact same deals and sales and coupons as you do. But I always compare what you have on your blog to my own ads. Besides, it’s my own responsibility. I just think it’s so weird when people get mad at a favor you do for them and say it’s not good enough. I’m just thankful for your blog. It’s invaluable to me. 🙂

  19. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You do an awesome job and I have found many good deals on your sight. Keep it up!!!

  20. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Ignore them because I loveeeee your blog. Thanks for all the hard work!

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just wanted to say I LOVE YOUR BLOG TOO! I appreciate all the time and effort you put into this for all of us and don’t let others negativity get to you. Thanks again for all your tons and tons of HELP.

  22. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Wow, you have a lot of loyal readers! 🙂 I subscribe to A LOT of blogs, but I always look forward to 4 pm when your post hits my inbox – it is very informative and you have lots of posts that other blogs don’t. So, don’t listen to the mean people, just listen to your loyal readers! And I cannot even imagine how much time you spend on this-I think you have more posts per day than any other blogs I read! Thanks!

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Hey,
I totally love your blog. It is great and is full of helpful information. Anyone that has a complaint about your blog can kiss my expired coupons!!! You put time, energy, effort, and knowledge to make this site great and we all benefit from your hard work. So what if something doesn’t work out; Even the best laid coupon plans can unravel.

  24. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi Collin: VERY well said! I heard recently that for every person who posts a complaint online there are over 1,000 people who were satisfied with the service or product. The complainers are the ones who post unfortunately! I totally understand where you are coming from here and applaud your honesty, hard work and dedication to your wonderful blog!! Nicole 🙂

  25. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have nothing different or profound to say that hasn’t already been said.

I LOVE,love, love this blog and check it several times a day. You keep us current on so many great deals!

Thanks, and keep up the good work!

  26. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I love your blog and appreciate all the deal ideas you give each day. Thank you for making shopping fun and saving my family a lot of money.

  27. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Collin, I can not even come close to telling you just how much your blog means to my family and my community. I teach coupon classes at local non-profits to disadvantaged single moms and I lead a shopping group that buys first for their families and then for a pantry I keep in my home that serves other families and non-profits. I do this all as an outreach and your blog is what fuels my efforts and makes it possible for me to do that while being busy homeschooling five children and running a business. If I did not have you, I could not pull it off. I am like a little kid in a candy store when it comes to seeing what you have come up with,I check several times each day with anticipation. You don’t just touch the lives of those who read your blog, but you are touching the lives of many others who we come in contact with, because of your commitment to us. Thank you so much for helping us to help others! God bless you!

  28. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just wanted you to know that i ADORE your blog…I love everything that you post.
Who in their right mind has a problem with anything that you post??
Who doesn’t know that every deal is different, every store, cashier…GEEZ!
Don’t let stinky attitudes get you down.
    You’re doing AWESOME!!!
    Sending coupon love from Vegas,
    Kathy

  29. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I check your blog several times a day and have referred it to many friends. You do great work!! Thanks for putting so much time and effort in to finding great deals for us all!

  30. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I LOVE your blog and think “its hip to save” is great! you always give great ideas & examples! thanks for doing what you do!

  31. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Keep up your good work, in spite of the negative feed back, I’m sure that for the one negative person you have 100 people who think you do awesome!

  32. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I absolutely appreciate your blog and all your helpful advice! You have saved my family a lot of money. I have only been reading since January but I already love the concept that you have taught me and others. THANK YOU for all your hard work (even with three kids!) and time you put into this blog. Keep up the good work and God bless you!!! From a fellow penny-pincher in Portland, Oregon.

  33. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I don’t usually read the comments, so I don’t know about the negativity, but I just wanted to say that I LOVE your blog. I’m new to couponing, and I never would have tried without it. So keep up the good work!

  34. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just ran across this post while searching for another one, but thought my comment was better late than never. I want you to know that the majority of people that follow your blog love what you’re doing and support you 100%. If there are people giving you crap because you’re human remember they are seriously flawed, I mean if they can’t understand some mistakes and grey areas they should look a little harder at themselves first, I doubt they follow every single rule (speeding, crosswalks…etc.) They are just mean ugly people. I wish they wouldn’t read or post at all, but they are so low in self esteem they feel it’s ok…and they probably hide under “anonymous” which is such a cop out.

Just know there is one more person who just found your blog that knows how much work you put into it and thinks you’re AMAZING!
