Yet another Super HOT Walgreens deal alert:

Ecotrin Aspirin will be on sale for $2 next week. Plus, every time you purchase one it will generate a $2 Register Reward. The best part–there is a new coupon available for this product: Save $2.25/1 Ecotrin Aspirin Product. Print this now before it’s unavailable. Final cost after the Register Reward and coupon–FREE plus a $2 moneymaker! Yay!

Update: I forgot to mention that this coupon might beep, since the value of the coupon is higher then the value of the item. You have 2 options: you can ask the cashier nicely if she’ll push the coupon through or just type in a $2 value for the coupon. Or you can buy 2 for a total of $4 and then use 1 $2.25 coupon. Your final cost after the $2 Register Reward will still be FREE plus a .25 moneymaker!

Wow- I will be hitting Walgreens for sure next week! Thank you so much for all your work- you save me and so many more tons and tons of money!!!!

  2. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Question – Will this actually be a profit? My Walgreens register beeps whenever there is overage of a coupon on a price. They won’t accept them…Usually I have to buy one more of the item so it will go through – then I would be spending 1.75…to get a 2$ RR. Not a bad price, but doesn’t seem like a MM – KWIM?

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Anon,
I’ve updated the post with this info. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

  4. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I can not print the coupon – any suggestions
    Thanks

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

**SOME AREAS** received a $1/1 Ecotrin in the 1/24 smartsource

    buy 2 x $2 = $4,use the $2.25 and the $1 coupon, pay .75 get back a $2rr

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So if you buy 2 in one transaction will you only get 1 RR? Do they have to be seperate transactions if you want 2 RR?

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Sara,
Yes, you’ll have to separate the transactions if you want to get back 2 separate $2 Register Rewards.

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I don’t know where to put this. But this upcoming week there is also a 2 RR when you buy 3 Suave products. The products are 3/$5 and if you still have the $1/1 Suave lotion coupons from one of the inserts (can’t remember which one). Then it will be 3 free after coupons and RR.

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I am such a dork, but I’m soooo excited about Walgreens ext week!:)

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Im having issues printing the coupon? is just me?

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I couldn’t get the coupon to print using Firefox, but was successful using IE.

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I took another look at the ad and it says “Suave Hair Care” is 3/$5 so I’m not sure if the coupon scenario will work afterall. Sorry for so many bothersome posts. : )

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I posted this on another blog, but want to make sure I get an answer before heading to Walgreens for the first time this weekend.

I am new to couponing and Walgreens as well, so here is a question on RRs for this week. The Nivea body wash will print out a $5 RR, can I then use it on the Skintimate and Chapstick deals which would then print out a $3 and $2 RR respectively? Then proceed to use those two RRs on another Nivea (and also buying a filler) which will print out another $5 RR and continuing looping like that?????

It seems too easy. What am I missing? And to cashiers ever get annoyed with doing multiple transaction either back to back to back, or if there is a line, doing one and then waiting for others and on and on?? The concept of going throug the line 5 times just seems strange and like they wouldnÂ’t like that or allow itÂ….but it seems as though that is what you have to do.

    Help enlighten meÂ….thanks~!!

Because of the 0.25 overage from the coupon wouldn’t that just go toward your other purchases (if your are buying other items)?

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Hi Anon-
Yes, you can loop, or “roll” your RR like you described. The only exception would be if the products were the same brand. For example,Skintimate and the Edge shavng gel are from the same manufacturer, so if you bought 2 of these on the same order, you would only get one RR. If you bought a Skintimate, and then tried to roll it with a Edge, it wouldn’t kick out another RR. Does this make sense?
As far as doing multiple transactions back-to-back, I’m not usually brave enough to push my luck. If you did want to try, I would go to the cosmetics counter, or photo. I always have better luck going first thing in the morning before they get busy.
I’m not sure, but I think maybe the Skintimate and Chapstick will end Saturday night?? That’s when the ESC ends. Does anybody know???

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

This is not directly related to this product, but I am new at this… so, I got a $3 RR and tried to use it on a separate transaction during the same visit, but the cashier said I had to use it at a separate visit. Is this correct?

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Kelly-That could maybe be that stores policy, but I use them like that all the time. I usually have my daughter with me, so I have her chek part of my items out, and just hand her the RR as soon as they hand it to me!
Try it again with different cashier.

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’m not positive on this, but wanted to mention in case anyone here is in the know. A while back I purchased deodorant on sale for $2 with a $2 coupon and was supposed to get a $2 RR back. I didn’t so called Catalina. The guy I spoke with was really nice and said that because the coupon was a manufacturer’s coupon the deodorant company (and was for the exact amount of the RR), the computer system looked at it as if I had used a catalina to make the purchase so did not print another catalina. He said in this case, he could not send me one either since there was no way to show I actually hadn’t used a catalina. I’m wondering if we asked the coupon to be marked down to 1.99 instead of 2.00 if that could be prevented. It would be worth a penny to me! Any ideas – or am I the only one who has come across this situation? Thanks!

  19. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Does anyone know if you can combine two DIFFERENT RRs on one transaction? For instance, can I get both the Ecotrin and Got2B RRs if I purchase them in the same transaction? Or will it only give you one RR total per transaction?

  20. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    LisaC,
You are awesome! Thank you so much for answering everyones questions. I would have answered them the exact same!:)

Also the Skintimate, Edge and chapstick deals are only good thru 4/25, so you will not be able to “roll” these deals starting next week.

    Anonymous,
I know exactly what deodorant you’re talking about-The Dry Idea. What I heard is this coupon was coded like you said the exact same way the Dry Idea Catalina was, so that’s why it didn’t print. I’ve honestly, though, never encountered this before, so I’m hoping it won’t happen again.

    Jen,
Yes, you can combine different RRs in the same transaction and you will get both of them back. You just can’t combine the same RR deals.

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks! I am reading the couponing 101 stuff you linked to right now! Very helpful!

  22. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

the caregivers marketplace has ecotrin as one of the rebates I don’t know the exact size thats on sale but this may also qualify for a $1 or possibly $2 rebate from Caregivers Marketplace :.)

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Okay! I finally figured out why I have so much trouble printing Smart Source coupons. I am using AOL. I opened Internet Explorer and typed in http://www.smartsource.com from there & had no problem printing the coupons. Does everyone else out there already know this b/c I have been struggling with all their coupons for several months now.

So, if are having trouble, minimize your AOL or whatever and open Internet Explorer. Maybe it will help someone else.

  24. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

To Lowry157 – Thanks so much for the tip about using IE instead of AOL to print SmartSource coupons. Ive always had problems printing them, now I know why! I just printed the Ecotrin coup. Thanks!!

  25. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

There will notbe an overage on the ecotrin if you have to buy 2 because only 1 register reward will print.

  26. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks so much for your response about the Dry Idea coupon/RR issue. I’m still new to this and didn’t know if that was a rule or a fluke. Thanks for sharing your experience that it is not common! Looking forward to purchasing the Ecotrin and getting RRs! 🙂

  27. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

ive been reading the comments about rolling rrs, 3 of the cashiers at my walgreens know me, now in the beginning i would say i needed to pay for things seperately because it was for someone else and now theyve caught on and now they ask me what i need rang up seperately, how much im making, were i got my coupons from, and how did i know about those deals
    i love it
so if you can just try to do that say your buying stuff for your sister….ect. and you need to pay for them seperate thats how i started

  28. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It also prints you a Walgreen’s Q for $2.00 off Ecotrin, so it’s a rolling deal.

  29. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I read somewhere about the $2 coupon on the inside of the box of Ecotrin. So tonight I stopped by Wags, got the ecotrin and sure enough there is a coupon in the box. Went back, used the coupon so I got the ecotrin free plus the $2 RR! Very cool! I just read the coupon and it says 60ct or more, the ecotrin on sale is 45 ct. Wonder if this was just a mistake on the cashiers part or if it will work again. Any thoughts?
