Alright, I’ve had quite a few emails and comments regarding Target’s coupon policy. Numerous readers are having issues with being able to stack a Target coupon and manufacturer coupon together on one item. Well, the good news is that Target’s coupon policy clearly states that you can use both coupons together on one item. Their policy also states that if the value of the coupon is higher then the value of the item, then they can adjust the coupon down. Go on over here to access their coupon policy. Print it off and keep it with you every time you shop at Target.

just to let everyone know ( for an even better deal ) on the fragerence candles. there is a $4 off one in todays paper coupon booklet. sounds like an even better deal to me.

  2. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I had problems just last night at my Target. I was trying to buy the Easy Mac with the B1G1 free coupons. I also had the Target coupon. B/c the picture showed the 4 pac of Easy Mac the cashier said I couldn’t use those coupons along with the B1G1 coupons. After I finished checking out I went back to customer service and explained that the wording didn’t say I had to get the 4 pac. They gave me my money back for the coupons I had. It was very frustrating b/c so many people go by the pictures and not the wording. It may have only been $4 but that can go towards other things that I needed.

I went to Target to get the Quaker bars(by the way, they are deilsh!) and I had 4 Target coup and 4 manufacturer internet coups. They beeped after 2(the Target ones). The manager let me use them anyway(cashier had to hand discount them), but she said I cant print out multiples of the Target coupons–since when? I told her I had never had a prob. in the past, but she said it was “company policy”. What?

    Question:
If I have a BOGO coupon, can I combine that with another $1 off coupon? Since I am getting 2 items?

    Example:
    BOGO Free Soap Coupon
    $1 off Soap Coupon

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I don’t see where the Target Q is for the anti bac soap & the baby soap. Will the Target Brand body wash Q work? And I don’t see the McCormick Q do I need a certain zip code to bring it up? Thanks!

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    I went to Target yesterday. I got 4 Purell trials ($.89 each)…she took off $2.00 twice…MM. I also got 2 Kraft Mayo and 1 Lysol…all for $.60 that I put on a gift card.
My husband printed the store coupons in the store…for some reason they didn’t have the Easy Mac coupon, so I’ll have to print them here and maybe get them next week. Boy, I wish I had printed those $2.00/2 Purell coupons when they reloaded…they are gone now.
I guess you have to print them as soon as you see them…I just hate to print something if I’m not going to use it. At least I did get 4.

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thought I would add a couple of things. You ARE allowed to print multiple Target Q’s. Each Q says “Only one offer PER TRANSACTION.” You can only use one of each Target coupon per transaction.

Second, if the cashier is unwilling to accept the Q, ask for the Lead on Duty. If they won’t help, then ask for the manager.

I had a TERRIBLE experience recently and called the 1800 number for the store. They MORE than assisted me in resolving the issue.

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Here is another Target deal: several Lysol products are on sale in addition to the ones that Hip2Save already mentioned.

Other manufacturer coupons are also available from here: https://www.lysol.com/products/product-promotions.

Buy 3 different items and submit the $3 rebate, available from the same website.

I did this this morning at Target using the $0.50 coupon on the Lysol toilet bowl cleaner and the $0.55 coupons on the Lysol kitchen and bathroom cleaners. I bought all three products for $3.45 and will submit for the $3 rebate, making my total $0.45 for all 3 products!!

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I went to Target twice this last week – 2 different stores. At one store, the cashier told me that they could only accept coupons that scanned, and would not hand enter any of them. She said it was their “company policy”. I ended up not getting a couple things because my coupon wouldn’t scan.

Then, at the 2nd store, the cashier was so kind, and hand entered what didn’t scan naturally.

It just goes to show that I think it has more to do with the cashier and their willingness to be helpful then really the “corporate policy”.

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Also wanted to add that when the Q’s “beep” and need to be manually entered, it generally speaking takes the pushing of a single button to manually enter the coupons through. It will usually beep saying “Coupon isn’t for here”. Meaning “this isn’t a target coupon”. This is coming from the customer service person I spoke with at the 1800 number.

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

May I please ask what everyone is doing when the cashier and leader or manager will now allow you to use more than one target Q per transacation(for same items: such as the Dr. Pepper I got the other day… I wanted to get more than one and couldn’t) I have to drive more than 40 miles each way and I want to shop only once a week to save time and gas… and I want to get everything I want in one trip. Is everyone doing several transactions? This is a big pain, esp. when I have my 9 month old with me, and the customers lined up behind me are none too happy either. Has anyone called the 1800 # to complain of this policy? I need to make my trip worth it!!!

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I agree that it depends on the cashier that you get. It’s just not worth it to me to argue with these people. They treat you like a criminal and I don’t like it, so I don’t shop there anymore. Maybe if we all emailed or called their customer service and suggested they train all their cashiers on coupon use they would take a hint!

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have also had numerous problems with Target. The coupon does state limit one coupon per transaction, so if that is what they want you can break all of your items up and individually pay for them (what a pain for you and them). Also I think it is all in who you get as your cashier, they did tell me that they have had a lot of problems and have had a big meeting about coupons which I think is the present problem. Hopefully it will get better or they as a company need to specify in wording and in picture that the coupon is only valid on that specific item then we won’t go to the trouble. They have no idea that when they put out a coupon you coupon queens will find us the best way to get the most for our money. Thanks everyone!!

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I went to target yesterday and got 4 target brand baby body washes for $1.76(44cents each) from using the 75cent off target body wash coupons. Also, the 75cent off a target cleaning product coupon nets you cheap(in quality too) sponges reg 99cent. After coupon 24cents for a two pack…i like to use them on cleaning projects where I don’t plan on ever using the sponge again.

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Also, the $1 of Chex mix Target coupon works for the small bags of clearance Chex mix marked down to 84cents( as always Target clearance is YMMV). It might be something to keep you eyes open for.

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The Fiber one products are a steal this week at Target but their pop tart like Fiber One Toaster Pastries – poptart like things – are on sale for $1.79. Buy 4 at $1.79 = $7.16 use 4 MQ .50 – 2.00 = $5.16. Get a GC for $5.00 – each box cost you 4 cents!

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

nicole-whats a “paper coupon booklet” that your talking about for the glade candles?-and melissa y, I had a problem with the mac n cheese today too-the coupon shows a 4 pack and the coupon beeps….don’t think the singles are what it suppose to be used for-overage on coupons is always a YMMV….and the ponds coupon for the ponds deal-they are listed in the sunday paper but our area didn’t get them-so thats a no-go unless you order some

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I had an issue with the Purell coupon today. They wouldn’t adjust the coupon down. I was trying to buy 2 of the trial sizes for .99 each (which would have been $1.98!), and even the front end manager wouldn’t do it. He said the picture on the coupon showed it was for a different size, even though I pointed out that there was not a size specification in the wording on the coupon. He said it was coupon fraud to adjust a coupon like that. Then he did offer to adjust it down to .99; he said (and I quote): “I am doing you a favor by giving you one for free!” I told him that I should be getting two for free! He said in order for me to get two for free, I would have to buy larger sizes. (Which, as I pointed out, they had no larger sizes in stock due to this Swine Flu mess!) I took my coupon back and gave him back his Purell bottles. Funny thing is that the cashier forgot to scan a package of travel wipes so I won in the end!

  19. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

MY targets have been great here in Indiana but I just started so we will see. My issues have been with CVS – do they have a coupon policy print out also? I love target so I do not have to keep track of anything afterwards.

  20. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have also tried to use the Easy Mac coupon. The register does not recognize it for the single cups, but it recognized everything else. The register also rejected an Always coupon, but I think since they were on sale with a $5 gift certificate it thought it was a duplicate offer, but my (male) cashier didn’t fight that one. Also, the Target coupons do state that they are one offer per transaction.

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I can’t seem to find the coupon for the easy mac in the Parade. Anyone else having that problem? Is it regional?

  22. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Kaitlyn,
Yes, you should be able to use a BOGO coupon and then for the one your not getting free a money off coupon!

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Ana,
The Target brand Baby Wash works perfect with the .75 Body wash coupon. I just purchased 2 today and they are a really nice size too.

Also, it looks like the McCormick coupon is unavailable now!:(

  24. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Nicole, where is the $4 coupon for the candles?

  25. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Where is the 50cent coupon for Fiber one “pop tarts”?

  26. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have had all the horrible experiences you guys have, even to the point the manager was yelling at me in the store. I called and emailed Target and got the great email stating they adjust down coupons. I have been back to that store and two other stores since. The original awful store was still awful and would not even look at my email. One of the other stores called the customer service number and let me use one per transaction. The third one lets me do whatever I want as long as I bought that item. I love them and go there at least twice a week and tell them over and over how great they are.

  27. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Thanks Hip2Save… so excited then!

Heather… the $4 off was in today’s paper… either RP or SS I forget which one!

  28. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

FINAL COST FOR HELLO KITTY BAND AIDS FOR ME AFTER COUPON WAS: $1.03

  29. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Kaitlyn Thanks girl!

  30. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

One per transaction what does that mean?

One coupon per item of the coupon – so you could buy many items and use the same many coupons of the same item. or

One coupon per your entire purchase. So you can only use one target coupon.

or can you use all the different target coupons that you want but they all must be different?? I am so confused at times. Help. Thanks!

  31. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I noticed that the Fiber Plus yogurt is included in the gift card deal. I had a coupon for .50/1.

  32. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Nicole,
Which insert is the $4.00 coupon in? I didn’t see it in the star telegram coupons I got today. Thanks!

  33. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

🙁 no $4 coupon in my paper

  34. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

still curious which coupon you guys are using for the hand soap? Thanks in advance!

  35. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The $ coupon I printed from your scenario say $1 but then in smaller print it say when you buy any ONe of another product. Is that right?

  36. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

at our target in missouri, they let me use 8Q’s target body wash on 2 bottles of Baby Body wash and 6 on handsoap. She said if it didnt beep it was alright.

  37. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Anon.,
Which coupon is it that you’re talking about? Thanks!

  38. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

it is the target coupon on their site that IS $.75 for target brand body wash

    baby wash 1.22 with Q=.47
    and handsoap .84 with Q=.09

  39. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My reciept was 102.00 amount saved 108.20 bought almost everything on your list plus my normal Milk, veggies,OJ & meat and that was 75.00 of it! Plus 2- 5.00 GC back. THANKS for the big savings.

  40. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

what coupon do you use for the handsoap? the body was or cleaning product Q?

  41. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The $4 coupon for Glade Fragrance Collection candles is in the 5/3 Smart Source. Awesome!

  42. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have a question about the V8 Fusion coupons that we all have. The coupons state that they are for “goji raspberry” or “passionfruit tangerine” only. I cannot find these flavors anywhere! Has anyone had success using these coupons for other flavors? Thanks!

  43. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

If target wanted consumers to buy a specific size or certain packaging you would think by now they would have someone detailing their coupons with exact wording so there is never a question about what the coupon is supposed to be for…they do this on some of their coupons, but I think they leave others up to the target checker and managers to interpret as they please…this is done purposefully to get people in their stores in hopes of purchasing other items at full price. I always go with the rule for the moment as I am fortunate to get the deals I get…Hip2save is by far the most extensive blog in blogosphere kingdom…the Grandmama of them all…..thanks hip2save for saving me bundles!!!

  44. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Does anyone know if I bought 4 of the Glade candles, will I get 2 gift cards, if I do them in the same transaction? Also if I do the FiberOne in the same transcation will I get 3 gift cards?
