Hey ladies, It’s just a little after 8 PM….you have to watch “Wife Swap”….there’s a coupon mom making the swap…this ought to be a funny show.

  2. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Great list, thanks for all your hard work putting it together.

My Kmart will not take coupons printed off the internet, so thats a bummer.

Another thing to remember (at least at my store) if your coupon is for a certain amount off of 2 products they will double it only as much to make the 1st one free bot won’t take anything off the 2nd item, for example if you had 2 items that were $1.50 and the coupon was for $1 off 2 they would only take $1.50 off, so some thimes this is a bummer.

On a brighter note i talked to my friend that is a manager @ kmart and she said they got an email from corporate that said to disregard the limit of 10 coupons and that there would be no limit. Yeah !!!!!!

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Does anyone know if any Utah locations are doubling. I dont see anything in there add. It seems like they never do 🙁

    Thanks Lisa

  4. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I tried to link to your awesome list from my blog but that was not possible. Just thought you might want to know as linking could bring you quite a bit more site traffic.

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Boy Collin, That’s really an extensive list…nice. You must be exausted. I didn’t even check to see if our Kmart is participating…Kmart isn’t real close, but we’ll see. Thanks for all your hard work:)

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

What a wonderful, wonderful piece of work. I wish I had a Kmart. I want to tnank you for the Simple Shoes. We at the Anselm house are no longer shoeless. They sent me an email saying they could not fill hubby’s order but they did.I ordered 1/2 size larger like you suggested and they are perfect. What would we do without you? I know we wouldn’t have new shoes!!!!

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the list! The Kmart coupon for $5 off $50 says “cannot be combined with any other coupons for the same item(s)” does that mean I can’t use it with my coupons?

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Beaverton Oregon DOES take internet coupons. Call your local store. Thanks for all your work.

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

where did you hear about the double coupons? I called a local store and they do not know anything about it….

    MJ

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I called the store in Iowa and the manager said they were not participating. I will try anyway. 🙂

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I e-mailed K-Mart about whether Oregon is participating, and got this response:

“Thank you for contacting Kmart regarding the Kmart Double Coupon Event. At this time the locations in Oregon are not participating in our event. Please contact us periodically for further updates.

    Thank you for contacting us.

    Sincerely,
    Elizabeth A.,
    Retail Customer Care”

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

(this was at about lunchtime today, Friday)

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

M.J. and Anon, go to kmart.com, look for weekly ad, enter your zip code, and the ad for next week will pop up…if your store is doubling, it will state so on front of the ad. HTH.

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

this is a very basic ?, but if you use a coupon that is worth more than $2, will they add another $2 to double it, or how does it work? I have a bunch of $3 huggies coupons and was wondering if I can redeem during this (for more than the $3)…

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Anon, Your $3.00 coupons will be redeemed at face value…only up to $2.00 will be doubled…so, the better deal would be to use more of your $2.00 coupons. HTH:)

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I also have an unusual question….some of my internet coupons are stating “DO NOT DOUBLE OR TRIPLE” will they go by that or will the judt double the coupon? I thought that Kmart was the one “eating” the extra money but I was not sure.

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

hi! back to the $3 huggies coupons – if I understand right, the coupons will be worth $5 ($3 face value and $2 doubling bonus), right? We use LOTS of diapers (1 night-timer, 1 full-timer, and 1 on the way 🙂 ), so I would like to stock up if our BigK is participating. I would use up ALL my coupons 😉 -probably about 20 or so, various values…

    Thanks for your knowledge 🙂

  19. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Anon, If they see that is states “do not double”, then they won’t double it….if they just scan it, it will double. Here’s the glitch…if there if a “9” in front of the UPC code on the coupon, it definitely won’t double. If there is a “5” in front of the UPC code on the coupon, it will double. You know those coupons that we get from those little red machines at the grocery store?….they all seem to have a “9” and are never doubled anywhere that I know of.

  20. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

If a store is doubling coupons and it’s not advertised will the register recognize my coupon and double it. My ad say they are not participating in NY but when I called earlier in the week I was on the not not participating list.

I plan to go and make one purchase and see if it doubles. If it does I’ll just go back in and make the rest of my purchases.

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

thanks so much for all your hard work making this list! It’s amazing, I love being able to plan my trips during doubles week 🙂

  22. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

thanks so much for all your hard work making this list! It’s amazing, I love being able to plan my trips during doubles week 🙂

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

thanks so much for all your hard work making this list! It’s amazing, I love being able to plan my trips during doubles week 🙂

  24. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Anon, No, the $3.00 coupons will only be redeemed at face value ($3.00)…a $4.00 will be redeemed at $4.00…a $2.00 coupon will be redeemed at $4.00…a $1.50 coupon will be redeemed at $3.00.

$1.50 coupon will read like this on receipt:
    $1.50-
    $1.50-

Say the item is $1.29 and you have a $1.00 coupon is will most likely read:
    $1.00-
$.29- if you’re lucky, you might get overage on some items.
If you don’t understand this, ask away.

  25. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    great Fran!
Thanks for the info on the >$2 coupons. You were right; I think that I will save the $3 and hope to find the diapers on a better sale to use those ones on 😉
I’ve never done the doubles before, so appreciate your expertise!!!

    dana

  26. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’ve always wondered, for the coupons that sate “DO NOT DOUBLE” and they do (i.e. the “5’s”), does the store get the face value and loose out on double amount, or does the manufacturer give them the value?

I’m thinking the store takes the loss, and not the manufacturer…

  27. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Dana, My pleasure…glad to help. Good luck and let us know how you make out. Let us know that it’s Dana and not Anon, so I’ll know it’s you.

Nicky, Have you tried Kmart.com to see if your area if participating…click weekly ad, type in your zip code and you’ll see the ad for next week…if you see $2.00 Doubles on the front, you’ll have your answer.
I think if the store was doubling, it would automatically double the coupon you hand them, providing it’s $2.00 or less.

  28. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for this list, it’s great and a big help.
I have a question re: the KC/Unilever cat deal – where can I find the details on that. I’m dying to figure out what products/sizes are included and have looked all over and can’t seem to find any info.

    Help?

  29. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Collin, I’m not taking over your site:)…I’m still up because my husband went to Red Lobster for dinner tonight with fellow workers and brought me a Coconut Shrimp appetizer, which I ate late and I don’t want to go to bed too early because I don’t want to get sick…so, here I am, trying to help…I know you are okay with it.

Diff. Anon, I think when a coupon is doubled, the store takes that loss…but my question to you is: Who doubles $5.00?
Also, do you know, instead of clicking Anon, you can click Name/URL and then just type your name? Anon is so confusing to me and I’m sure to Collin as well, besides, I think a name makes it a little more personal…just my opinion.

  30. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks, Fran. I thought that’s what happened. –Oh and I mean coupons starting with 5, not for $5. Sorry about that!

One more question for anyone out there who can read the super fine print:

Is the limit for similar coupons that will be doubled the same as before? 4?

    –Ana

  31. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Fran does Kmart match ads?

  32. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks ladies, for using your names.
Ana, It probably is limit 4 coupons of one item, but then again, it depends on who you get for a cashier…some might not even care how many you use, but I would try to stick to the rules. If you have more than 4 of one coupon, you can either split your orders or go another day. I have been couponing for eons, and even I get confused trying to split orders (transactions).

Summer, I don’t think Kmart matches ads…you could always call them before you go. I do know, for a fact, that WalMart does.

  33. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

At my Kmart, there is this really nice older lady manager and I just love her. She helped me when my cashier missed one of my coupons last time we had doubles and we didn’t want to even try to figure out which one it was so she just handed me $4 plus tax in cash.

I started talking to her about coupons and found out that she is the one in charge of all the coupon stuff for their store. So I asked her some questions. =) One was who pays the extra when they double coupons. She said the manufacturer doesn’t pay it – the store just eats the cost. I asked her why some manufacturer’s don’t want their coupons doubled then and she said she had NO idea. Weird, huh?

  34. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

And thank, hip2save, for the awesome list! I would be at Kmart ALL DAY LONG if it wasn’t for you! =)

I don’t remember there being this much confusion last time about which stores were participating. I saw the kmart response about Oregon not participating, but when I called the kmart corporate number I was told that Oregon is participating even though it says nothing about doubles in our ad. Hope they can streamline this more next time.

Last time i was unable to use the 5/50 coupon. even though i used it first, once the other ones came off, it beeped and she gave it back to me. booo. And the register wont let you use a coupon with a bogo coupon. double booo!

Oh, thanks to you too Kate, for clearing up the “Do not double” mystery. I guess that’s one more reason to thank Kmart for holding doubles so often lately 🙂

    Fran,
It’s 9 here and just finished watching wife swap. I never watched it before. It was so funny,”look they have 50 of them, who could use those”. Something about you went to all this trouble just to put it in your basement. That was good stuff. I have that binder, I have those shelves? I made DH watch it with me. He said just 10 min. but he watched the whole thing laughing.

Kate just reminded me of something I wanted to pass along to help you ladies. One time, at CVS, I handed the guy my ECBs, something like 5 or 6 of them..he laid them on the counter and scanned them…good thing I had written my ECBs down with the coupons I was using…he missed a $4.00 ECB. When I mentioned it to him, he said he did scan it, and after I had him look in the drawer, he realized he missed it and handed me $4.00.

So, this might sound lame, but now I hand them my coupons one at a time…especially with the Internet coupons, they tend to stick together.
But, the other day at ShopRite, I had the coupons I was going to use on top of my coupon boxes. The girl leaned over and grabbed them.
I caught that she missed a $.35 coupon before I paid, so she did take that off, but I didn’t catch a $1.00 coupon that she also missed, so I had to get that at customer service. See what I mean?
Try handing them over one at a time. If they don’t like it…too bad. It’s more trouble when you have to go to customer service.

    Manufacturer Coupons up to $2.00
Does not include Kmart Store Coupons
Does not include Kmart Pharmacy Store Coupons
Does not include copies of manufacturer coupons
    Does not double internet coupons
Limit 10 total coupons per customer per day

Notice in “the rules” it states that they won’t double internet coupons… I don’t know if this means the cashier would have to not scan them or if the computer system won’t double it, though.

Dear Hip, Please let us know more details about the huggies deal. We need to know what qualifies for it so that we can do it correctly ( especially the filler). Thanks!!

aww its midnite here. i nevet watch that show, i would have turned it on if i weren’t at walgreens getting my free ecotrin, toilet paper and 2.00RR! lol Fran I just saw a commercial for red lobster and i am totally craving that now lol!

Jackie, How about the other wife from Pennsylvania who wanted the husband to shred his wife’s binder of coupons?…I would have had to kill her. These are repeats, but you should watch them, they are so funny.
We must be like aliens to non couponers. How about how they went in the pizza place separately so they could each save $1.00 on the pizza?
I’m glad someone watched it… I thought it was funny.

    Kmart doesn’t double internet Q?

  47. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My Kmart doubles internet coupons. You might want to check with yours before you go.
