From reading the comments on the Target FREE Chex Mix post, it sounds like lots of you have had success price matching at Target! There are lots of great Target price matching deals available… especially with all the new Target coupons! Here are a few to get ya thinkin’:

Like I stated earlier, Walgreens has select Kellogg’s cereal on sale for $1.75 per box! Bring their ad to Target and combine the Walgreens sale price with the $1/1 Target coupon. Final cost $0.75 per box! If you have any Kellogg’s cereal manufacturer coupons available, then this would be an even sweeter deal!

Rite Aid has select varieties of 9.34-oz. Fun size M&M’s priced at $1.99. Bring their ad in to Target and combine the Rite Aid sale price with the $1/2 Target M&M’s coupon. Final cost $1.49 per bag!

Albertsons has Dr. Pepper 12 packs on sale for $2! Bring their ad to Target and combine with the $1/1 Target coupon from here: IE or Firefox (this coupon will print immediately after clicking the link–it will first state you need to install the coupon printer, but let it sit there for a second without clicking anything and it will start printing your coupon). Final cost $1 per 12 pack!

…And finally, as I posted a few day ago, Toys R Us has Mars, Hershey’s, Reese’s and select other candy bags priced at just $1.74! Bring in the Toys R Us ad to Target and combine this sale price with the Target candy coupons available and the manufacturer candy coupons available to score some sweet deals!

This sounds intriguing! Do you do price matching at customer service, or right at the registers? Never done it before…

  2. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Has the kellogg’s target coupon expired? I did see it on the link.

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Liz, it’s right above the Archer farms cookie coupon in the left column 3 up from the bottom.

I always pay for my regular items at the checkout, and then take my price match items to the customer service counter. (I usually just leave the price match items in my cart and explain to the checker that I am paying for them at customer service.) At the customer service counter, they adjust the price to the price in the ad I have, then they take my Target and maunfacturer coupons. I haven’t had any problems!

    I see it now. Thanks!!

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

according to Target policy, price matching is done at customer service, but I haven’t tried it yet.

Do all of your albertsons have Dr. pepper on sale for $2.00 I dont see that in my add.

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I don’t live by an Alberstons, do you have a good zipcode to use to get an add that says the Dr. Pepper is on sale for $2.00? I looked up one add, but I couldn’t find it in there.

Did anyone else get the AWESOME Target coupon book in the mail today???? I got the one with the little boy holding a paper turkey and my firend got one with a little boy eating cereal with a dog watching. Both have different coupons in them.

I’ve done price matching several times at Target – but I always go to customer service. They’ll usually ring up all my purchases there also. ANd they’ve been awesome about it. One piece of advise — be sure to get the EXACT item that’s in the ad – check size, variety, etc. Otherwise they won’t do it.

I haven’t used coupons at Target until the last two months. My first two experiences were awful. I contacted the Target Store Manager and had a meeting with him about what had happened. He did not even “know” that there was a function on their registers to lower the price of the coupon when the item was less than the coupon. He apologized to me, but I was so humiliated I had to consider whether I wanted my “name” associated with “coupons.” Since then, I have done three ad matches: the Kashi cereal a few weeks ago when it was on sell at Walgreens for less and there was a gift card, and last night, I bought 10 bags of Chex Mix for free and used the 2 (1.00) Target coupons with ad match at Safeway on the drinks, so I got the items for $2.00. The woman at Customer Service said she had never done it before, but she was helpful and friendly, HOWEVER, SHE TALKED ABOUT THE COUPON ABUSERS WHO THEY KNOW BY NAME IN MY STORE. Apparently these people are making it bad for all the rest of us. She spoke at length about this problem and despite the fact that my coupons were legit, I left feeling tainted by what she said about others.

go to Customer Service to check out w/ad and your coupons- I did it in reverse and ended up having to void my entire 1st transaction and redo.

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My target had hellman’s may on clearance 75% off!

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I went today and used the $1 off target coupon for the cereal and then a $1 off manf. coupon for 1 box of Froot loops. It made overage, so they wouldnt do it, and I said they can adjust it down, but they said they aren’t allowed. I said well the other stores do it, and she said not this one….so it seems again that target stores pick what they feel like doing. She also said they’re cracking down on coupon fraud…was that coupon fraud, really? GRRR

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I could not print coupons at Target.

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I was not able to print coupons at Target, like you did in your video

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My son pulled a bunch of $1 off Kellogg’s cereal blinkies a little over a week ago that would pair up with the Target coupons for $1 off, right? What happens if the coupon amount exceeds the cost of the item? Oh, and we think we got the blinkies from Safeway’s cereal isle.

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for all your advice! I hate feeling lost when it comes to deals, and I have only been to Target once. Now I feel prepared.

  19. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

HA! Just confirmed that is was a blinkie display in the cereal isle at Safeway for $1 off a box of Kellogs, and it’s for the Froot loops, which matches up with Walgreens ad. Pretty sure there is also one for the Frosted Flakes too.

Went to Target last night in Lansing, Mich. the cashier price-matched right at the register.I rec’d 4 8.75 oz bags of Chex-Mix for FREE.
I had never done price-matching at Target – Very easy but the cashier was NASTY, she told me what I was doing was fraud. Next time I will pick someone else.

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My Target did the price match but it was a hassel for sure. I thought I had to buy the items first then go to customer service to price adjust but turns out they want you to buy the items only at customer service. The first time they tried to price adjust they didn’t do it right and I had to go pick my daughter up at preschool so when I came back the same lady was there and was NOT happy to see me again. She had to return the items again, then price adjust it, then get my coupons from the intial register, and re-do the whole thing. I owed her .09 for 4 boxes of cereal. She was pretty rude at the end but I’ll take 4 boxes of cereal for .09 anyday.

  22. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    QUESTION about the cereal deal:

Since the walgreens ad says LIMIT 3, will they limit you to that at target?

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Can you print out the ad from your computer? My Walgreens ad doesn’t have the chex in it.

  24. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I did a price match at Target tonight too, however, I ran the cereal through the regular checkout with the $1 TQ. THEN I went to cust serv for price match to Wags price. Well…because the cereal was $2.84 reg price and the $1.00 coupon was already through, the only adjustment I got was from $1.84 to $1.75. I wish now I would have saved my TQ for the cust serv counter. Will do that next time!
