Restaurant.com has a new 80% off promotional code:

Take 80% off of $25 Gift Certificates and pay ONLY $2!
Just use promo code SHARE thru 12/14!

For a total of just $2, you’ll end up getting a $25 gift certificate! I always stock up on certificates when they are 80% off. They don’t expire for a year after purchasing, so you’ll definitely have lots of time to make use of them. These would also make for inexpensive Christmas gifts!

Or for an even better deal, you can purchase the Dinner of the Month Club. What’s that? It’s a 12 month package that comes with 12 $25 gift certificates and one FREE $50 gift certificate! The total for this package would be $120, but after you type in promo code SHARE–your total will drop down to just $24! Wahoo! That means you’re snagging $350 worth of dining certificates for ONLY $24!

I’m loving the give 30 people $10 gift certificates!!

  4. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have never used Restaurant.com before so not too familiar with participating restaurants policy. I read the policy on restaurants.com but it did not mention anything about using multiple gift cards at a given time for the same restaurant. If you pick a high end restaurant to eat at, the $25 card alone won’t cover the cost so can you use more than 1 $25 cards? Does anyone know this?

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

woot! I just ordered my $25 GC from swagbucks. hopefully I’ll get it soon. thanks guys!

I think every restaurant has its own policy, but I asked my husband and at his restaurant you can only use one certificate.

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

One per visit is what all the ones I have got in the past say. Watch how much you have to spend to redeem and some are only good on certain days, so read before you buy.

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So is this really legit? I’m sort of skeptical. Who has ordered gift cards from Restaurants.com before? Was is really the price quoted for the vaule of the gift card? Please let me know.

They are good for one year. It is a great deal if you buy them on sale. I stock up when the go 80-90% off. There are stipulations as with any big discount. There are some that aren’t too bad and i stick to those. When they are on sale though, they are a good deal. I just want to add that this is a reputable and anytime i have had a problem they have handled it immediately and were happy to do so.

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Wow, that is quite deceptive. They forget to mention that this is a $10 credit toward a $20 purchase. As always, if it is too good to be true…

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The $10 Feed It Forward certificates are legitimate but most of them are for $10 off a $20 minimum with tip added. I couldn’t find any restaurants on the list in my area that I’d consider using at it.

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just tried to purchase the dinner of the month club for $24 with my Swagbucks e-giftcard and it won’t let me. I called and talked to a CS person at Restaurants.com and she told me that you can only exchange it for a $25 GC for one restaurant of your choice. That really sucks. 🙁

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have to say I ordered four cards from them about 6 months ago and have never recieved anything!!!

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You don’t get cards. You have to go to their site and print them off.

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

They are not sent to you. You have to sign on to Restaurant.com and print your certificates online. HTH

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have never ordered anything, but about to this time. Do you have a min purchase to use the certificate?

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Are the RedEnvelope $15 codes still being issued?

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

No, the RedEnvelope code deal is dead!

  19. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    CallieFlower,

You have to print off your certificates online! Restaurant.com is awesome! I have scored some very inexpensive meals with these certificates… and at really nice restaurants to boot!

I will never go back to paying full price when dining out again!

    Thanks, Hip!

  20. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I am going to call the restaurant of my choice before ordering to make sure there will not be any hassels…

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I purchased some previously when they were onsale for 80% off. I got them for 2 different restaurants!!! My experience at both was awful!!! You still end up paying A LOT for the food!!! Look at the certificates before you purchase them… They charge you 18% Gratutity… the employees are rude to you b/c you are using these certificates!!! So… I went to one restaurant $25 off $50 — My bill was still $50 dollars. I was $6 over my $50 required amount…. Then they charged for the taxes… gratuity… and ended up being $50 something… Just be careful!!!!

  22. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I always read these carefully and try to choose the ones with the lowest minimum required to put out. Also I figure I’m saving a bit anyways if I was already going to that restaurant. Their good deals if your taking a group out and would like a bit off especially if your picking up the check.

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Colin – also, you can go thru ebates to purchase these, and I think get back like 15%??

  24. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I got 4 – $25 ones last time we had this deal. We used our first one this weekend at a local Sushi restraunt. We ate our butts off and the check was OVER $40 – I paid less than $20 after tip&tax!

These are great if you have local restraunts that honor them. All you have to do is print and go!

  25. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You do have to read them carefully I made the mistake of getting one that was $50 with a minimum purchase of $25 and yes we walked out spending close to $40 which is more than we usually spend but we got twice as much that food and had food for the next day. The $25ones are usually the better deal or find one with a lower min purchase. Also cashbaq has 25% off right now so go through them if you do buy!

  26. Collin (Mrs. Hip)
