First, there’s a bonus Walgreens $2/1 Glucerna printable coupon available here–valid on snacks, cereal, bars or shakes! You can also combine this coupon with the $1.50/1 Walgreens coupons available in the Diabetes and You coupon booklet (there is a $1.50/1 shakes coupon and a $1.50/1 cereal or bars coupon inside the booklet).

…AND finally, you can combine the above coupons with either the $3/3 coupon from here (manufacturer coupon with Target logo–click on the healthcare category on the left hand side to access the coupon fast) or use the new $2.50/2 manufacturer coupon from the 1/3SS!

Alright, so now that you know the coupons to use, here’s a deal scenario:

Buy 2 boxes of Glucerna Cereal $4.99 each=$9.98
Use the $2/1 Bonus coupon (will deduct $4 since you’re buying 2 boxes)
Use the $1.50/1 Diabetes and You coupon (will deduct $3)
Plus, use the $2.50/2 manufacturer coupon
Final cost ONLY $0.24 per box!

NEW UPDATE: Submit your receipt to the Caregivers Marketplace and you’ll get a $0.75 rebate back (per box of cereal purchased)! That will turn this deal into a nice little moneymaker!
(Thanks, SharpenYourScissors!)

**The Glucerna shakes (6pk) are on sale for $8.99, so you should be able to score a pretty great deal on these too!

I have yet to find the Diabetes and You coupon booklet in any of the stores in Wichita, KS. I’m quite frustrated with Walgreens in the fact that they don’t distribute these books to all of the stores. Only specific ones! I’m tired of missing out on these deals and my family really likes this cereal! Could some one please send me one of these booklets or refer me to a link with a pdf file. I’ve have found that a printed version of these coupon booklets works perfectly but I can’t find a pdf of the Diabetes and You booklet. Please help! 🙂

    • Craig

Grace have you asked the WG staff where these booklets are located? Sorry if you did, just covering all bases. I got mine (MI) near/around the Pharmacy area. Id look there.

Can anyone SCAN the coupon from the DIabetes and You booklet? My Walgreens has the book in stock but there is no Glucerna Cereal coupon in it! I noticed the same thing for the John Frieda Shampoo a couple months ago! If Anyone could do that, I would certainly appreciate it… I guess the coupons in it is regional as well but my store will take the coupons if they will scan even if printed out. Thanks in advance for anyone who could do taht!!!

how are you able to stack that many coupons? Is there a Walgreens coupon policy someplace? They don’t say just 1 manuf. coupon+1 store coupon per item? I’m confused…

Also do you know if any of the stores (not only Walgreens) accept expired manuf. coupons without problems? I was just wondering if anyone ever tried using coupons that are expired if those for sure beeped when scanned or not.

    • collin

      Irina,

In my experience and from talking to a few different Walgreens cashiers, as long as the coupons have different codes, they can be used together in the same transaction. Both Walgreens coupons will go through without any beeps.

I’ve been able to combine an in ad Walgreens coupons, with a Walgreens store coupon and manufacturer coupon with no problems.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thank you Collin. Also, which paper was the manufacturer’s coupon in? The 2.50/2?

  4. CrazyCouponAddict

My Walgreens never has these books either…and i could really use some of this cereal…I agree that they need to be a little more consistent…

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Couldn’t find any $2.50/2 coupons in the 1/3 in the SS inserts in Portland, OR today. Rats!

  6. Melody

For anyone that can get this deal to work, you can submit to Caregiver’s Marketplace for Glucerna also, making them free with possible overage. Sorry, I can’t remember how much it is per box, 75 cents maybe?

  7. Jessica

You only need one of the $2 Walgreens printable coupons to take off $2 for every box you buy, right?

  8. crystal

I looked at the caregiver’s marketplace and for 2010 this product is no longer on the list for a rebate, it is only on the 2009 rebate list.

Okay, so I am horrible at the computer and have been trying for a very long time to figure out how to get my copy to ya’ll. I have 2 of the Diabetes books with the cereal coupon in it. After fighting with my new printer/scanner..I got it scanned and saved to pdf. But now what? I can’t copy and paste a link, though I was successful at emailing it to my hubby to see if it worked lol.

I guess I can try that? If anyone is interested in my pdf of the cereal, email me and I can see if I can get it out to ya. OH by the way. the scan(s) are of 3 pages. My first attempt to scan both coupons together came out horrible due to 300dpi. I switched to 600 and it worked better but I can’t figure out how to delete page one.

Page 2 and 3 are of the cereal, snack bars…and shakes.

Sorry if this is lame, just trying to help 🙂

I didn’t get a coupon in my SS this week, but I was able to print 2 1.25$ off coupons from the Glucerna website.

I tried to use the $2 Walgreen’s online printable coupon with the bottle shakes and it wouldn’t work, but was able to use it and the $1.50 in the diabetes & you along with 4 $1.50 manf. coupons that I printed from the Glucerna website (you will need 2 computers) .
    I paid $5.99 x 4
used the online walgreens took off $8
used the Diabetes & you $1.50 coupon took off $6
used 4 manf printables from glucerna website took off $6
    $23,96
    $20.00 (total of coupons)
Paid 3.96 plus tax for 4 pks of shakes in the can

    • Shannon

Sorry, the Manf coupons are $1.25 each
So, my total was 4.96 plus tax.

Hi, here is what I did to get this deal. First, if the cashier questions 2 Walgreens coupons, politely mention they have different codes. Next, ask for a manager if the cashier doesn’t “get it”. At Walgreens, the cashiers seem to get hassled if they have too many coupons ( how the cashier is supposed to control this, I have no idea) at the same time the cashiers do get in trouble for too many “voids” of transactions so let them know you understood that 2 Walgreens coupons with different codes was “ok” to use. If the manager says “No”, politely ask him why.
If you can’t find the “Diabetes and You” booklets, try asking the pharmacy ( I saw quite a few in my area at the pharmacy) and ask a manager. Try calling the Walgreens 800 number and tell them you can’t find it, see if they can help you locate it.
I think it’s time we all send an email to Walgreens customer service feedback telling them to develop a company wide coupon policy. It really is Walgreens best interest to write such a policy and post it. Too many of Walgreens cashiers and managers act like coupons are “taking advantage” of Walgreens when in fact Walgreens is reimbursed by manufacturers for the entire amount for a coupon plus an additional amount for processing.

I totally agree with you. I was doing the revlon deal and had to go to another walgreens because the lady wouldn’t give me $3. off each eyeshadow. Then i was getting electrasol and I got a RR the first time the very next transaction it didn’t print the cashier told me it was because i used a coupon, then because i had bought a paper, then because it was up to the manufacturer. She made me go all over the store twice because she was such a moron. Her fellow employee was completely helpful and fixed everything. So it depends who you get. It upset me because if you are new to couponing you’d listen to the first moron. I wish they’d get there s**t in one bag. I like others have kids and don’t have time to visit multiple stores.

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

i did this tonight without any problem – couldn’t find the $2.50/2 from today’s paper, but used the $3/3 from the target link Collin listed.

    Bought 3 Glucerna cereals – $4.99 each ($14.97 total)
Used $2/1 bonus Wags coupon (printed it out and took it w/ me – took off $6)
Used $1.50/1 Diabetes & You coupon (took off $4.50)
Then gave the $3/3 manufacturer coupon (with Target logo)
Paid $1.47 for 3 boxes of cereal ($0.49 per box!)

I’ll try to print off the $1.25 coupons from Glucerna’s site and try this again tomorrow. Thanks for the Glucerna website tip, all!

  14. L

Hi, I live in Dayton, Ohio and my Walgreens informed me that they cannot take coupons that have a Target logo on them. I try to explain that they are a manufacturer coupon and they say it doesn’t matter, they cannot take them. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just went to my Wags for this deal in Ut.
    I got 2 cereals 4.99
used the 2-$1.25 from the website
Use the $2/1 Bonus coupon (will deduct $4 since youÂ’re buying 2 boxes)
Use the $1.50/1 Diabetes and You coupon (will deduct $3)

I have been having problems with some employees in the store. They make me feel like a thief and are SOOOO RUDE to me….She scanned the 2/1 and then all the others beep. she went on to tell me I had more coupons then items. I told here that it does not matter since the other 2 coupons were wags coupon and I had 2 manufacture. she was SOOOOO rude and so I got 3 loose candies and paid 1.60 for 2 of them. Still a god deal, But I called corp an complained to them of how rude 2 of thier employees are. Its so bad I will drive 30 minutes to not feel like CRAP!

    • Shannon

Renee, I have found that if you give them your manufacturer coupons before the wags or in ad coupons, the register won’t beep and it will all go through fine. I don’t get the wags out of my purse until they scan the manufacturer Q’s because if they see them, they will ask for them first. HTH

  16. Gina

I’m new to this and have been studying and reading how it works with each store. I have easy access to walgreens and cvs and have been trying to figure out which is best. Probably both but with going to food lion for groceries with my 7 month I usually have time for one other place during the week. Any comments on which is better?

  17. ROSE

I got my deal today and got a 1.50 off 2 Catalina. I’m gonna go for round 2 tomorrow, hope I get another Catalina.

  18. Samantha

Gina– Everyone has their favorite stores and a lot does depend on the customer service that your receive and if your particular store is “coupon friendly”.

I have been seriously couponing for about 10 months now although I have been using various store programs for years.

In my experience, CVS has the most consumer friendly store program and Walgreens is my least favorite place to shop because they have so many rules and regulations concerning their Register Rewards and then even when you do jump through all the hoops, sometimes a Register Reward does not print out and they can’t do anything about that at the store level.

The only real con to me when shopping at CVS is that they do limit how many of a certain item you can buy if it generated Extra Bucks. There are times when they might have a Limit 1 on an item that I might want several of and even with my husband having a card, we can get only 2 total. However, the pros greatly outweigh the cons to me. I love that you can use as many Extra Bucks as you want to pay for your items and that they don’t expire for a month ( instead of the RRs which expire in 2 weeks), love the quarterly earnings ( even though it’s not much!) and green bag tag programs and being able to view my earnings online.

I especially like the coupons that you get from the price scanner or the online quizzes. Walgreens offers a lot of coupons now, but I would rather have less coupons to keep up with ( gasp!) and better deals! It is way too easy ( with a 17 month old as my shopping buddy) to forget a Walgreens coupon if you have 3 or 4 coupons for the same item and then you have to decide whether it is worth the time to have the cashier process a return or to just let it go.

Sorry this is so lengthy, but hopefully it will answer some questions!

  19. Irina

I got this cereal on Monday at one of my local Walgreens using the coupons above (2 of the 1.25 manuf. coupons instead of 3/3 one (and I didn’t get 2.50/2 in my paper).

Today I stumbled on another coupon (even a better one), so I wanted to let you all know about it, so you can keep your eyes open for it. It makes this cereal better than free! (of course, since there are no RR for it, they might have to adjust the coupons down for it to make it “just” free, but anyway:

By your pharmacy look for a booklet “You are more than a number” (Walgreens diabetes booklet with some coupons in there). On p.17 in the bottom right-hand corner there’s a manuf. coupon there for $2 off any glucerna product (including shakes, bars and cereal). They don’t expire until 9/30/10/. Be sure to get a couple of those booklets, because those are Manuf. coupons, not Wags.

    Deal scenario:

    Buy 2 Glucerna cereal – 4.99 each, pay 9.98
Use 2 manuf. coupons from the “You are more than a number booklet” – will take $4 off
Use bonus Wags coupon – will take $4 off
Use “Diabetes and you” coupon for $1.50 off (will take off $3).
Total of $11 off (or they will have to adjust it to $9.98 off) – FREE CEREAL 🙂

I’m sure you can use it more than once – but the bonus coupon says limit 2 (per transaction, so just do several transactions).

Also, today I was very upset – they were super rude at a Walgreens to me just for trying to use my coupons. I walked out of there and woved to not go back to that specific Wags anymore. I don’t know why at some stores the cashiers act so rudely (even the manager did).
