  1. Tammy

My sister and I went to do the foot cream and it did not print the RR. Thanks for all your hard work, just this deal didn’t work for us:(

    • April

      Tammy –
What a bummer!! It worked for me (OH) just fine. It’s really frustrating when deals work for some and not others. Happens to me too 🙁

  2. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I am just getting into Walgreens and I have a question…. I did the Chips Ahoy deal twice this week so I have two RR for that deal. I know that I can’t use those RR to purchase additional cookies, but can I use both RR from the cookies to pay for a different deal on the same transaction, or will it beep because the two RR are the same?

    • momwhocares

You will be fine, as long as you have 1 item per coupon you are using 🙂

  3. michelle s

WOW! That is an impresssive list!!

  4. Rachel

Huge list – thanks! Must’ve taken forever. Again, thank you! I did do the Curel foot cream deal and got the $5 RR. Who knows why some places it works and some places not.

  5. Carissa

Regarding the Monthly deal on the Bayer Meters:

Does anybody know when the coupon from the 10/24 RP expires? I have access to a coupon swap box, but the coupons are organized my expiration date. I would appreciate any help! Thanks!

    • Sheila

I don’t have mine, but if you go to coupontom.com and search for the coupon he’ll list the coupon and the expiry. HTH

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I believe they expire on 4/30/2010

  6. Tara

Jennifer—You can use the RR from the Chips Ahoy cookies on a different purchase. You just have to look at the Company that produced the RR and don’t use it to purchase something from that company also you can use as many RR as items that you purchase. I hope that helps!!

    • momwhocares

You can use a RR from the same company on a RR deal. Just not on the same RR deal.

      For example:
I can use a P&G coupon to get a P&G RR – ANd, I can use P&G RR to pay for a P&G RR deal and get back a P&G RR. Rolling a RR doesn’t mean with the same company, it means with the same deal.

So, if johnsons and johnsons had a RR deal that included baby lotion and shampoo or conditioner. Lets say you bought 3 baby lotions and got a RR, you couldn’t get the shampoo or conditioner with that RR and expect to get another one – since the come from the same deal. But, you can use that RR to buy another johnsons and johnsons product that gives you a RR and get one back. As long as that product was not included in the first johnson and johnson RR deal.

I do this all the time. Never had a problem. The one time I did and the manager tried to tell me what you just said, I had them ring it up again with out the RR and still did not get one back. In the end we found out it was their system that was messed up and they canceled everything and let me go to another walgreens down the street and it worked. The next day they had their cash registers fixed.

  7. SaraJC

There’s a $1/2 q for any two planters products -from i dont know when it came out lol- exp. 1-31-10 Im pretty sure we can stack it with the trailmix deal right???

  8. Shirley

Oscar Mayer ready to serve bacon is on sale for $1.99 1/17-1/23. If the one Collin listed is the same as the one I am talking about, I would wait.

I also saw it somewhere that Bayer Contour Meter will produce $10RR instead of $5 RR starting Feb? Not sure about the exact date but it is close to the end of Jan or early of Feb. Can someone please confirm the date?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The one I saw looks like you have to spend $30, so if the price of the meters go back up to $30 then I would think you would get the $10RR. Although I thought that regular price for those meters were around $50 – $80

  9. Tarin

Doesn’t Walgreens stop you using 2 coupons on a buy one get one free deal. I had that problem with them before and when I check their coupon policy it said that they wouldn’t accept 2 coupons.

    • bfam

Today I wasn’t able to use a $1/1 coupon and a BOGO coupon on the Reach floss deal, so I think you’re correct.

      • Sheila

I was able to use the $1/1 and BOGO so it must be a YMMV.

  10. SaraJC

I was able to get the reach floss for free yesterday and two days before that by using the $1/1 q and the bogo q. I would try a different store if theres another one near you. =]

  11. Kay

I have never been able to use two manufacturer coupons on a BOGO. You are getting the product for free so how do they deduct money from a free item. And I have never found a store that will let you use a BOGO on a product that is already BOGO and pay nothing.
Is it just up to the cashiers?

    • SaraJC

I guess it depends on the cashier. Some are coupon friendly and some arent.

    • momwhocares

rite aid will llet you, it’s in their coupon policy. You do pay something, you have to pay the tax. I havent; tried useing a bogo on a bogo sale at any other store.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I didn’t have a problem doing this at Rite Aid this week but the cashier did hassle me @Wag for trying to us the WAGs coupon, B1G1 coupon and the $1 off coupon on the floss. After I told her that I had done it this way before she pushed it through. I guess it just depends on the WAG and the cashier you get. It just shows you that they are able to push it through if they want! Just be VERY friendly to the cashiers and try to visit the same store so you can build a relationship with the employees!

    • Rachel

Remember that a coupon is a form of payment. If something is totally free they would hand it out to you at the door. If you are bringing something to the register that is rung up and then you use coupons, you are “paying” for the product – even if it ends up being “free”.

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My coupons in the Start Here for a New You booklet say they are Manufacturer coupons good only at Walgreens and they are not valid with any other offers. Has anyone had any luck using them as store coupons? The L’Oreal Preference deal listed here suggests that you can use a coupon from this booklet as a store coupon, but I’m not sure that will work based on the small print on the coupon…

  13. Karen

Went to Walgreens today did the Aquafina deal purchased 8, the Curel deal, the Jergens deal, the Bayer Crystals deal, the deal on Ritz crackers. All worked with no problem. Thank you, Collin!!! I could not do this without you.

  14. Theresa

I was able to use to BOGO coupon with the BOGO deal on the Lacross beauty tools a couple of weeks ago @ Walgreens. I got two pairs of tweezers (normally $7.49) for free! I guess it depends on the cashier

  15. Theresa

    the not to.. sorry

  16. Anonymous

I have a question. for the neosporin lip car stuff you mentioned I think it was 2 for $8 and then you can use 2 coupons for $3 off..however they are manufacture coupons, so can you still use 2 (which would be doubling)? sorry im new to this coupon stuff

    • Anon.

You can use one coupon for each item. If you are going to buy 2 Neosporin Lip Care, then you can use 2 MQs. You pay $2 + tax, and get back $3 RR. I have done this many times.

  17. CA

I was fairly proud of my Walgreen’s deal today so I wanted to share (my husband wasn’t too excited but I thought you all might be). I purchased 5 John Frieda Root Awakening shampoo and conditioners on clearance for $3 each (with coupons it was $3 for all 5). Then, I got 2 Lip Smackers products for $1 a piece since they were on clearance and I had 2 of the $1 printables from last week. Then, I did the Neosporin lip deal and with my RR got the 2 of the GUM Crayola toothbrush packs since they were buy one for 2.99 get one free. Threw in the a bottle of Jane mineral foundation for $1 on clearance. All that for only 7.50 out of pocket! Is it OK to feel a rush from couponing?

    • Rachel

      Totally!

    • Sheila

I think the rush is what keeps me coming back for more!!!

  18. jill

this week i bought 2 reach floss using 2 coupons, 1 b1g1 coupon – at walgreen’s & also at harris teeter b1g1 guacamole & $1 off guacamole and today at target for steaz teas b1g1 and .50 off. I haven’t had any trouble using 2 coupons on a b1g1 deal — whether it’s from one of the coupons or from the sale. I have however not been able to find anyone that would let me use a b1g1 coupon during a b1g1 sale to get a second free item.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You need to try Rite Aid then! They had the stayfree pads on sale BOGO and I used the BOGO coupon from 1/3 and scored 2 pkgs for free! I did this 3 times for a total of 6 pkgs free! Well, I did have to pay tax. I won’t have to buy pads for the next three years!! LOL

      • Sheila

I also did the Nivea lip deal at RA with a BOGO on top of the BOGO that the store was advertising! Did it twice in one transaction and got 4 lip cares for tax!!

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Boy, I did the Stayfree and Nivea lip thing at Rite Aid last week, and now that cashier hates me! Had to whip out the coupon policy to show her. She started slamming stuff around, didn’t say thank you, glared at me! Terrible customer service. Makes me afraid to use this method again!

  19. Mike

The Nivea coupon in my 1/3 RP is for another size (16.xoz) and the sizes for the Oust says 10oz, but the ones I got at CVS w/ the BOGO coupon is 12oz, so also likely not a match, boo!

  20. Jody K

Regarding the Bayer Quick Release crystals, there is a $1.50/1 coupon on the Bayer website. I didn’t get that coupon or the Bandaid one in my inserts… were they regional? Also, is there any way to find out which Walgreens deals will be available in the stores with the shorter ads?

    • Rachel

I tried the Bayer Quick Release today and it didn’t work. All other RRs printed but not that one.

      • Sheila

Bummer, I just did it two days ago and it totally worked. If your RR doesn’t print, I hope that you are brave and return your product. It never feels good to “eat” it.

  21. kristen

does anyone know if the pepsi deal at Walgreens is still available for this upcoming week? Buy $20 in Pepsi products and receive a $10 RR? I can’t seem to find the post..and I wanted to make sure the promo started tomorrow and wasn’t for this past week.

  22. Mike

The pepsi promo I believe runs into February (and began Jan 3rd) but the sale prices aren’t until next week (17th)

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You’re awesome..thank you so much! You saved me a trip =) I’ll be ready to go on the 17th

  23. Tara

Does anyone know if there is a limit to how much will be deducted when you use the diabetes and you coupon for the lubriderm? can you only buy 4 or could you buy more?

  24. Aileen

I was just referred to this website. I see quite a few rebate offers. How long do those rebates usually take to get back to you.

    • Stacy

About 6 to 8 weeks. I’ve gotten two of my Johnson & Johnson rebates and that took about 6 weeks. I sent in Just For Men, Dulcolax and Olay around the same time and haven’t gotten anything yet.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I did the SC Johnson rebate, and the turn around time was really fast., about 6-8 weeks as Stacy wrote. I also did the Kraft Back to School, and that was sent back to me within 3 weeks of mailing it. (Of course I sent the Kraft one in December, and I don’t think anyone was even THINKING about mailing rebates at that time.) Some rebates will have a website that you can check to see when your submission is received, and others will send you an email receipt if you include your email address, if there is a place for it on the rebate. HTH

I totally think that Wags is hit or miss. I have found an awesome cashier that lets me do multiple trans. I went in the other day and got 4 boxes of electrasol back to back. She knows how I shop and she always knows how I do with coupons. I hate that so many people have problems at wags. Regarding the Reach dental floss, I bought 2 and used the in ad q for $2off I also used the b1g1 Q and I handed her the $1off Q and it worked. She always tells me if she can make it work she will. Would I try that deal with just any cashier at wags? No I wouldn’t. I know her work schedule and I try to always go to her if it’s a “complex deal”.

  26. Tricia

I have a question about the Thermacare coupon. When I fill out the form and print the coupon, it will let you print multiple copies of it? Can you do this, or only print one. It looks like each time you fill out the form for the coupon you get a new security code on it. Thanks for your help!

    • Teya

Make sure all your coupons have different security codes, otherwise the store won’t be reimbursed!

  27. Tara

I could only print one of the Aveeno baby care and Lubriderm coupons instead of the usual two. Bummer!!

    • Sheila

      Same here!! BUMMER!

  28. Brooke

I wish it didn’t matter which cashier/store you go to. It should be the same across the board, that’s why I prefer CVS. They are much more coupon friendly. Wags gets a little complicated sometimes 🙁

    • Danielle Hull

Just depends on the cashiers! My WAGS is friendly and helpful, though they don’t push anything through for me any longer. My CVS cashiers are rather mean; I need to get a copy of their q policy!

  29. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I HAD to share. I spent 21.19 + 2.50 RR OOP and saved 141.42 this morning at Wags. I so love this store. The plus of it is, I needed many of these things BAD! Thank you so much Collin.

Thought I would also share that I got up, got ready, stopped to get papers (none there) and arrived at Wags yesterday morning at 3 am thinking it was Sunday morning. I was SO embarrassed. ( Hubby has been home for 2 weeks so I kinda lost track of the days.) Plus of it was I got a few deals I had forgotten to get earlier in the week. Same people working there this morning so that was just WONDERFUL!! ~if I didn’t laugh at myself, i think I would go completely crazy~ Have fun all!!

  30. Kay

Has anyone been able to get the Preference haircolor for 50-1.50?
There is a in ad coupon 2/13..and.3.00 off in the Jan. savings book and stack with a manufacturer. I did notice on the 3.00 in savings book it said manufacturer coupon so I don’t know if I could stack it
    Any help is greatly appreciated!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The Preference coupon in the January booklet does not work on PReference Superior. It is for some new preference line. Tried two different Wags and could not persude etiher one. Register says item not found.

  31. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Kleenex deal did not work for me. 2 stores have now told me that when you use manufac coupons on any “Buy $$ worh Get RR back” then you will not get the RR : (

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      hhmm, not liking this

    • Leeann

I did the klennex thing last week at 2 different Walgreen’s, used manf. coupons & didn’t have any problems receiving my RR’s.

    • Danielle Hull

When I did it last week with the Progresso deal to get the RR’s I also received WAGS “manufacturer” print outs for $75/3. So, this week with the in-ad q, I just bought 3 and used the q, not trying for the RRs. But no, if you used one of those qs, you would not get RRs. As long as it’s a “real” out of store manufacturer q, then you’ll get RR.

  32. Ana

What month is the Alli coupon in the Real Simple magazine? I just went through the January edition and it’s not in there.

  33. Rachael

The trail mix is not producing a RR, it is in the weekly ad for 2/$3 and a $1 coupon in the Jan. book making it 2/$2…. The $55 Savings books q’s are not a match for the size and the trail mix Q has expired.

  34. Sofie

Yesterday most haircolors from Loreal — INCLUDING THE EXPENSIVE PERFECT 10! Were on clearance for only 2.29!!!! I had a 2 dollar off coupon from their website! AHh! 29 cent haircolor that normallly costs 11.00! I am freaking out!

  35. Yvonne

Frustrated with Walgreens! I decided to do my first midnight run to my 24 hour Walgreens for Sunday’s sales, as they usually run out of item quickly. I bought the Colgate Max and the Nivea Shower Gel, both with coupons. I was starting my next order (Aveeno & Lubriderm items) when I realized I never got my 2-$2 register rewards! I thought all sales took effect at 12:01. Because the Aveeno & Lubriderm items showed up for the sale price. When I asked the cashier about the RR and said I had seen it in the ad, she questioned me as to how I could possibly see an ad already. I got a bit nervous and didn’t know how to answer her-I felt like I was getting interrogated! Not wanting to be recognized as the “problem shopper”, I let it go. Is there an official start time for all sales including Register Rewards?

    • Leslie

Yvonne, you can get the Sunday paper early edition on Saturdays. So that is how you can get the ad. I do this all the time. Get the Sunday paper on Saturday and plan my strategy. That is how you can respond next time.

      • Danielle Hull

What a grouchy cashier! My store has had them as early as Saturday afternoon. They have to have a few to prep the store, anyway. Our local paper delivers the ads to them, because I’ve stopped by a few times late on Saturday (not a 24 store), and the manager wasn’t too happy with them not receiving them. Anyway, I’ve had employees offer me one early!

  36. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My Wags is ringing up BOGO on the J&J stuff instead of BOG1 50%! I just spent $2.61 OOP (all but $.42 was sales tax) to get the J&J rebate and I have a HUGE bag of product to show for it. 🙂 Sometimes Wags rocks.

    • Deanna

What exactly did you get? I heard tha same thing on the Aveeno shampoo and conditioner but was wondering what else is B1G1? Thanks and i’m super excited! lol

      • Sarah

        Sorry…wasn’t logged in before! 🙂

        I got:
        Clean & Clear
        Lubriderm
        Aveeno facial products
All of these were BOGO at my store, and am seeing various people around the country with the same thing at their Wags on all my deal sites I visit.
I don’t know about the hair care products for Aveeno because they were higher-priced and I was trying to keep OOP to a min! I spent $2.61 and got back a $2.49 RR because I bought a Thermacare in addition to all the J&J products.

  37. CA

So, has anyone had the Nivea body wash in the ad work with the $2 coupon? The ad is only an 8 oz and the coupon is 16 I think.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes I was able to use the coupon and got the RR. Did it twice, two seperate trans. I am in IL

  38. CA

If anyone is interested the Shredded Wheat that is 1.75/box printed out a coupon for 1.25 off next 2.

  39. Deanna

I just read on another blog that she bought the Aveeno shampoo and conditioner and it actually rang up B1G1 free instead of B1G1 50% off. Has anyone else seen or tried this?

  40. Laury

The planters trail mix does not have a RR attached to it. You can use the January coupon book to get $1 off and get $1 off of 2 coupon from the yellow bus school coupon book that was out a while ago.

  41. Anne

L’Oreal Preference Hair Color didn’t work. They said I couldn’t use the 2/$13 in ad and the $3 from the January Coupon Booklet. The cashier even tried. Am I missing something or is she? The extra $6 would of helped.

    • Craig

did you try the manQ first then then the other?

    • SaraJC

It didnt work for me either =[ It wouldnt take off the 3.00 january wags q for the loreal preference hair color

    • Kate

In really fine print the January booklet states the coupon is a “manufacturers coupon” not a Walgreens coupon. Were you using the Q from the 1/10 RP too? I tried all three and was only able to do the RPQ and the 2/$13 deal. 🙁

  42. Craig

I wondering about this Colgate toothbrush deal.
Deal is for Colgate MaxFresh or MaxWhite, but the SS and Colgates wsite clearly state they are for the Colgate 360’s. Im confused. They wont take these if for a diff. listed product correct?

  43. Kathy

Anne, I had the same problem with the hair color. My cashier tried it three different ways (very nice), but the best we could do was the 2 for $13 and then subtract the two manQs ($3 off each one). I think the problem was that the Jan booklet coupon wouldn’t work after the 2/$13 ad coupon. When she reversed the order then the ad coupon only deducted the difference (to make it 2/$13 again). Someone mentioned in an earlier post that the $3 off from the coupon booklet wasn’t for superior preference so maybe that was it.

  44. SaraJC

the oust cost 4.99 at my wags and the bogo q is up to 3.99 ???? has anyone done this deal?

  45. Nancy

J&J did not ring at B1G1 in SE Wisconsin….still I bought the items I really needed – 3 teens means lots of Clean and Clear!

  46. Anne

Thanks for your responses with the hair color. I can’t remember the order I put the coupons in. If anyone got it to work – let me know. I would like to go back and try it again if it works. Went back an hour ago and all Aveeno, luberdurm and clean and clear products are still ringing up buy 1 get 1 free – great deals with the coupons from today’s SS. I wouldn’t wait until tomorrow to go – it may not ring up that way.

    • Kate

J&J didn’t ring up BOGO. It was just the BOFO at 15090 area.

  47. Anne - Mommy Has to Work

just an fyi – the L’Oreal Hair Color was a misprint. it’s only for specific colors. I went yesterday to buy some and it doesn’t work for my colors.

  48. catalina

Okay that’s it, I am done with Walgreens!! I tried to use the Oust BOGO (1/3 ss) coupon last night, but the clerk said he couldn’t use it since they were already on sale for BOGO…manager came over, and also refused to scan the coupon. This was completely ridicuous – I’ve stacked BOGO coupons before on BOGO deals at Walgreens. I am at my wits end with their lack of a coupon policy. The managers are completely misguided, and just winging it as they go along! Thank goodness I have CVS as an alternative – they never have these problems.

    • Kate

This worked at CVS today. I just think it depends on who is working the cash register. I hate when this happens too. 🙁
