If you have a Big Lots nearby, then you’ll be excited to know that you can get killer deal by price matching their ad! Thru 1/23, they have All 2X, 50 oz. and All 3X, 32 oz. laundry detergent advertised 2/$5! Head on over to Walmart or Target with your local Big Lots ad and do a price match. They should be able to honor the 2/$5 advertised price. …AND to sweeten this deal even further,  use two $2/1 coupons from the 1/3RP! Your final cost will be just $0.50 per detergent! What an awesome deal!

Did your area not get any $2/1 All coupons?
If that’s the case, you may want to head on over to eBay! It looks like you can score a lot of 10 to 20 $2 coupons for around $1 to $3 shipped.

The Big Lots in Jacksonville, NC does not accept coupons. 🙁

  2. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Big Lots does not accept coupons – but it’s good to point out the deal so we can do price matching at stores that WILL take coupons!

  3. Ann

I also wanted to let you know there is a $3 off 2 all coupon that some areas got. I am not sure if my Big Lots accepts coupons but I will have to check that out. Using the $3/2 coupon makes them $1 each which is still a AWESOME deal!

  4. Jenny

As far as I know, Big Lots does not accept manuf. coupons.

  5. meg

Big Lots in CO don’t take coupons either

  6. Vicki H.

Not in Tulsa — but the Walmart next door should price match the ad, hee hee!

  7. Joe Money

My Big Lots (in central FL) don’t take coupon either.

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Is the Surf “he”? If so, will the coupon work for it?

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Big Lots in Knoxville/Maryville do not take coupons. Wish they did.

  10. collin

Oops! I didn’t realize Big Lots doesn’t accept coupons! I will update the post!

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The “Save A Lot” site is for All detergent. I like the smell of Surf better.

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Springfield, MO-Big Lots doesn’t take coupons…but I think you can try and price match:)

  13. jean

Does anyone know if you need the actual ad for WM to price match?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

yeah you need the ad I tried getting a dvd over the christmas holidays and was told I needed the actual ad a manager then came and let it pass and gave me the dvd at the competitors price but they supposively don’t have computers with internet to look up the prices.

  14. Maehing O

    Collin,
The $2 off 1 All expired 1/10/10. I do however have a $3 off 2, so $1 a peice on a price match is still great! Thanks for all you do!
    Happy Shopping & Saving!

    • collin

The $2/1 All coupon I’m referring to is from the 1/3RP and doesn’t expire until 2/7.

      • Maehing O

Thanks Collin… I got the $3/2 instead in my region… I left after posting earlier and did the deal at Walmart… no problem! I’m in Summerville, SC.

On another note, we have the best Publix in the planet here, and they take CVS’s or Rite Aid’s $5 off Coupons. When I shopped this am, ( to get a few papers) I turned around and donated $5 to the American Red Cross, who will use it for the devistated region of Hati. Just a thought to pay it forward in our amazing world of couponing!

  15. Heather

Our Target does not price match with Big Lots or Five Below stores because they consider them to be outlet stores. I will try the Walmart!

  16. Lori

Walmart should price match. Here are the rules from the Walmart site here: https://walmartstores.com/7659.aspx

    Price matching

Our goal is always to be the low price leader in every community where we operate. Our customers trust us to have every day low prices … there’s no need for “special sales.”
    Our unbeatable promise:

Store managers make the final decision in always taking care of our customers, but we do have guidelines for matching our competition.

    * We do honor “Preferred Shopping Card” advertised prices. Must be like items, be advertised and require a competitor’s shopping card, for the discount to apply.
    * We do not honor advertisements that require a purchase in order to receive the advertised price or free product.
    * We do not honor “Buy One / Get One Free” advertisements.
    * We do not honor double or triple coupons or percent off advertisements.
    * We do not honor other retailers’ “Misprinted” advertised prices.
    * We do not honor Internet Pricing.
    * We do not honor competitor advertisements from outside of the store’s or Club’s local trade territory.

    • Julie

We actually have a Walmart in our area that will match the b1g1 ads as long as a price is stated in the ad. Cool huh!

  17. Dani

so please interrupt for me because I’m slow….do you think walmart will price match?

  18. Kristen

I called my Target in the FL panhandle and they will price match Big Lots but not when you have to buy more than one to get the sale price, so they won’t do 2/$5. But I called Walmart and they said they will!

    • I Heart Coupon Deals

Target is so stupid to not price match 2 for prices. They are just losing business.

  19. William Thomas

    awesome deal

  20. Tracy

Big lots will not accept coupons and walmart will not match their ads, due to when purchase is returned it is sent to big lots over a period of time. Just a heads up.

  21. Tink

I work at Target and we will not price match Big Lots because it is a close-out store.

  22. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

how do you get a big lots ad. do they have one in the store for you to pickup???

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I did not have any of the coupons left, but I went to my local Big Lots and bought 2/$5. It is still a great deal!!!

  24. Pat

I tried price matching at Walmart this evening–no go. I was told by customer service that Big Lots is a warehouse business and they won;t match warehouse prices.

  25. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just called my local Target and they said they will not price match Big Lots because it is not considered a retail store. Bummer!

  26. Valerie

I called my local Target and they said they will not price match Big Lots because it is not a retail store. Bummer!

  27. Rose

I went to Target today in Portland and they priced matched with no problem.

  28. jen

my big lots only has there sale ads online now but dont forget when you are at the biglot site they have a reward card you can get when you sign up you get early bird specials on certian sales plus i think 20 percent coupon after you spend so much with your reward card

  29. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

MY Walgreens wouldn’t price match either. So I guess its off to walmart for this deal.

  30. Lea Ann

I have not tried price matching. Do you do it at the register or customer service? Thanks for the input.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

no you just let your cashier know that you are doing a price match…..some will want to see the add and others will just take your word…..depends on the cashier

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        Thanks!!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

at target it is done at guest service and the item in the add has to be a single priced item. for example if a 12 pk is on sale at walmart for 3/$10 it would actually have to state $3.33 in order for target to price match.

  31. Nata-Leigh

No luck at my Target in Batavia, IL 🙁 … I knew I should have grabbed some at Wags last week for $4 (-$2Q). There’s still time for an awesome deal, though.

  32. Katie

Will Walmart let you price match and use coupons? I know at some Targets in my area at Christmas time were not letting you do both…. It was one or the other. (coupons or PM) Thanks

    • jessica

yes…you ARE allowed to use coupons since they WILL be reimbursed for the face value of the coupon….Target does also, BUT they won’t let you price match and let you use a “TARGET” coupon since they don’t get money back for those. hope that makes sense…

Manufacturer coupon: pays for face value of coupon + 8cents handling each.
Target coupon: is just like a “SALE” price adjustment…no reimbursement.

  33. Mary

Big Lots was closed when I went there to get and ad, luckily there was one in the trash can! lol. Headed off to Walmart, priced matched and used coupons….sweet deal with no problems. Probably also made a difference that this was around 11:00 pm and the cashier looked pooped!

  34. Lacey

My Target and Walmart will not price match if the ad says 2/$5 for example. Or the infamous 10 for $10 @ Albertsons … no go. The ad has to state a specific price or they don’t match it. They also won’t match bogo deals either. Bummer!

  35. Valerie

I don’t have the actual ad but the weekly Big Lots ad is available online, am i able to just print a copy to take with me and get a price match at Walmart?

    Thanks!

  36. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It looks like the stores all have different rules on this deal. I sent my dh with the Big Lot’s ad and coupon ($3.00 off 2) for him to price match at Walmart. Hope he dosen’t have any problems. It’s a great deal if Walmart will price match! Thanks Collin 🙂

  37. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

If yourcoupons is selling the cpns on ebay, don’t buy them. I bought some from them and never received them.

    • Michelle

I Just bought 20 $2/1 All friday on ebay from Holloways-Coupons and they shipped same day and i recieved them today. They have alot of variety of coupons for great prices.

  38. Debbie4137

Just came back from Walmart on Ridge Rd. West. in Rochester, NY and they will not price match this. They say in the add it has to say 2.50 each not 2/5.00. Even the small print says if you buy one the price will be 3.00. But Walmart still will not price match.

  39. Debbie4137

I just read the rules for Walmarts price matching. And in short they do not price match. Why bother saying they do. They make evey excuse not to price match which they have the right to do. But don’t waste peoples time and gas by saying they price match. And not for nothing usually people buy more than just the price match which is alot bigger money then the few dollars they would right off when someone used a coupon. Walmart you lost me to Target.

  40. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

No,Big Lots doesn’t take coupons. SHe is not saying to get the deal at Big Lots. She is saying to take the ad and price match…

  41. neljo mullins

Thank you Thank you!!!! I priced matched at Target!!! I got 20 All 3x for .74 ea.

    • momwhocares

I called ahead at my target and they said yes they will price match big lots and confirmed I would be ok. I went there and got the product and went through the check out and the cashier must have been new, she didn’t even know what to do with a FREE coupon. I had a coupon mailed to me by good start for free formula in the little bottles. Anyways, she kept looking at the coupon and asked if I was supposed to buy something to get it free. I told her, no, it is for a free 8 pack of ready made formula. She actually had to get the manager to help her and then she asked him about the big lots ad and he got all uptight and practically agressive and said they do not take big lot ads or price match $2/?? ads.

When I told him I went through the trouble to call ahead and was told by the person at the guest services desk and even she asked another supervisor there and he confirmed I would be ok, he got more rude at me for it and said he didn’t care and they won’t do it.

I took the ad to walmart and they only had 3 ALLs left and I tried there and had no problems. I usually get grief at walmart, but I had to go there anyways and thought I’d give it a try. The cashier was nice and knew how to do her job and didn’t question it. It all depends on the cashier for those who didn’t have problems at target. I am guessing the rules apply to all the targets, just some people seemed to get one of those cashiers who aren’t bent out of shape about couponers. I plan on going to another walmart and trying to get more than 2 – the otheronehad 3, but I had to buy in multiples of 2.

  42. Sandra

Hey, just wanted to let you guys know that this worked for me with no problem at Walmart in Casselberry, FL!! I even had two of the $2.00 coupons, so I got two bottles for 50 cents each! The cashier was really nice about the price matching too!

  43. Nicole

I shopped earlier today at target and they allowed the price match, no probs whatsoever. Then I headed to Wal-mart and they were so confused, I kept hearing so many different responses. At first they were, until this manager came over and said something about the percentage, but she will allow me to get one! And then another manager said she was wrong and called a manager, and he came over to say they don’t price match, when all the cashiers on the floor said they accept all competitor’s ads locally. Wow! I am calling corporate.

  44. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

For everyone that was successful… did you just go to a cashier? Or customer service? Is this something that they need to call a manager over to do?

  45. Michelle

I went last night to get mine and had to stop at 2 Walmarts before I found any. The cashier didn’t know if they priced matched Big Lots, so she asked and the supervisor said yes! I had the $2.00/1 coupon, so I got 4 bottles for .50c each!

  46. Rachel

My Target would not do the price match 🙁 They said they don’t do Big Lots because they are a close-out store, not a competitor. I will try Wal-Mart!

  47. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

OK, I called ahead to my Target and they said yes, so I took the woman’s name and at check out I said I had spoken to “Fill in blank” and they said you all would price match Big Lots with the Ad and exact same product. No problems! Went great. I got 6!!!!

  48. Losingitagain

The Milwaukee Targets and Walmarts said they will not match Big Lots prices (bummer) and as someone else said, theya re just losing business!

  49. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just wanted to share that I did this at Target today and got a great deal! I had a $3/2 coupon, plus a $1/1 coupon. I used both of those and got 3 All 3X bottles for just $3.50!! Awesome!! I’m off to search for more coupons so I can get a few more bottles. I have to use that detergent for my son with sensitive skin so I’m excited about getting a stockpile of it!

  50. Carrie

NO GO AT TARGET! I stopped by Big Lots to pick up an ad (didn’t get it in the paper) and headed over to Target. I tried to buy 8 of the All 3X , 32 oz. listed in the ad. However, the 3X is not pictured in the ad so they wouldn’t let me do it. They said that the picture of the product had to be EXACTLY the same (the only two pictured are fir All 2x and Surf) – EVEN THOUGH IT IS LISTED IN THE AD! So, now Target has a PICTURE MATCH POLICY?? Grr. I had looked for the All 2X, 50 oz. bottles and they didn’t look EXACTLY the same either, but I guess I tried. Super lame!

They also took one of my four $2 MFR for the Nivea and didn’t scan it – so I overpaid by $2. Now I have to go back and try to explain it and get my money back. In my experience everytime I hand the cashier the coupons in a stack they miss one. I have to hand them to them one by one which I hate too. Sorry for the rant…:)
