Sorry for the lack of posts this evening, but I’m trying to get all packed for Tampa! I leave tomorrow afternoon… and am very excited! I’m planning on doing some video updates from Florida and of course, will have my shopping adventure with the winner of the giveaway, Sarah, posted on Monday, so stay tuned….
Oh and I also have lots of surprises planned for Friday!!!

Just an FYI: I know you’re used to much colder weather, but there are lows in the mid 40’s on sat and sun. I’m a true Floridian, and I can tell ya that the humidity stays even in the cooler weather, so it’s a damp cool. Might want to pack a few sweaters 🙂 have a safe trip!

OH, and did you all see that Kashless CHANGED their program? No more points for each saved search. Booooooooooooooooooooooooo. Guess it was good while it lasted. Can anybody see how to make this program work anymore?

I saw that too. But if you go to RecycleBank.com and click on the EARN POINTS tab, you can score 50 points just for joining the EBAY GREEN TEAM. I joined last night and the points popped up a second later. I have an Ebay account already but all I did was click a button to join and it was a free 50 points! YAY 🙂

Also, In case anyone would like to know, I just got back from a late Walmart run and I bought several pairs of pants for my girls for 1-3 dollars each. There were nice, pink, red, cream, and blue cords and then some really cute belted capris. I stocked up!

Hope you enjoy your trip and have a blast shopping. You’ll have an absolute fit when you see some of the exorbitant prices in International Plaza – I’d LOVE to be a fly on the wall if you go shopping there. I’m also intrigued as to where you plan to have dinner. A lot of Tampa restaurants are priced on the high side so you may want to move further west to some of the more “beachy” restaurants. Can’t wait to read your posts. Have a great weekend!
I am reading all the comments of people from Tampa and I have a question. My family lives in Arizona. My husband is in Nurse Anesthesia school and we just found out we get to go to Tampa for 3 months. He will be at Tampa General Hospital on Davis Islands. We need to find close short-term furnished housing. Any recomendations for areas? Any concerns?anyone have a furnished apt/condo for rent? Thanks
Try craigs list, Tampa. Just be aware that davis island is expensive so if you are looking for something cheap you may need to try tampa suburbs.

Since there are lots of Tampa readers here, I wonder if anyone would be so kind as to give me some advice about a visit…my family is coming over from Vero Beach, and I don’t know what the best part of town would be for our hotel (I’m going to do Priceline)…we’ll be doing the zoo, etc. Is downtown ok, or would we be better off in Brandon, Tampa North, or Airport area? I truly appreciate any advice!!!
We use the Rocky Point area (near SR60/Courtney Campbell) and Westshore area near airport. Easy access on/off interstates for both Tampa & Clearwater/St.Pete (beaches).
