I took advantage of this incredible deal at TARGET, in addition to other deals that have been featured this week on “Hip2Save”!
See just how well I did: https://mypriceisright.blogspot.com/2010/02/february-13-2010.html
(FYI: Teenage/male cashiers are sometimes just a valuable as “Hip2Save”! I honestly did not even realize his mistakes until I got home.)
For the gift cards at Target you need to look for the Olay with the sample Olay lotion on them. The other Olay body washes did not ring up for the gift card . I just did this deal on Saturday.
I am so glad to hear about dollar general they just sent me a 5 dollar of 20 dollar purchase in the mail
I wanted to note that I did scan an Olay body wash (the new kind that just came out) to verify that the gift card thing was still working today, and the scanner didn’t show it. HOWEVER, it DID ring up that way at the register. This was in southern Orange County, CA.
A couple of questions about this deal at Target. First, do you have to do it at the Customer Service Desk in order to get the gift cards? or can you do it at a regular register? Also, once you get the gift cards, can you then turn around and use the gift cards to do the deal again and still get new gift cards back?? (in a way rolling this deal?)
Also, if you only ave to buy 3 Olay products for this, why are there 8 UPC spaces on the rebate?
You have to purchase $15 worth of Olay products, not just 3 products. There are 8 spaces if you are purchasing lower priced items.
The form I have simply states 3 products, not $15 worth. There is nothing that says you need to spend $15.
Mandy
The $15.00 rebate says “when you purchase any 3”. There is not a certain dollar amount on the purchase.
HTH
Wondered about this myself. The rebate mentions one item being (6) bars of soap. I think 6 of the UPC spaces allows for the barcode of 6 bars of soap, the other two are for other products you would buy to make three products.
You can get the gift cards from the regular register. You can use the gift cards on the next transaction.
Thanks!
In the other post Collin made about this, another poster said she received the last Olay rebate already and only got $11.98 back, not the $15 it said. They didn’t deduct for coupons used, but only rebated what was spent. So I do think you need to have $15 worth of product, or you may not get the full rebate expected.
But the total would be 14.96 before gift cards and the gift cards don’t show up as a deduction on the receipt would they? So would you just get a rebate check for 14.96 then?
The last rebate was for the price of the products, not the number of products.
It was on the buy 2 face washes get $15 back. Just pointing this out to be of help so no one is surprised by the check amount. That was promoted here as buy 2 at Walmart for $5.98 ea before coupons, and get a $15 refund. That was wrong though and in that scenario, only $11.98 is being rebated.
Did anyone do the Olay quench rebate last month and if you did , did you get your rebate check? That one was for the amount that you spent. This rebate says get 15$ back regardless of amount. You just have to buy 3 qualifying items.
Thanks
Does anyone know when the gift card promo ends at Target for the razors & body wash?
I was at Target today & saw a sign for the Olay body wash deal that its going until 2/27. Yay!
Does Dollar General accept coupons? Every once in a while I will pop into a dollar store, and whenever I ask, it’s always no.
Yes, they do. I was the one that sent Collin this deal, and they have been posting signs in their stores that they do accept coupons. 😉
yes, my dollar general actually has in-store coupons at the front for the month and they accepted my man. Q last time i went
My Dollar General will accept manufacturer coupons, but they will not take any printed coupons.
Went to Target tonight to do this deal. Bought the 6 Venus Embrace, used the $2 q’s, that went fine. Used 6 Free Olay wyb the Venus razor. The register asked for the amount, she put it in, $5.50, then hit enter and it said item not found or something like that. She called over the MOD and she couldn’t figure why it wasn’t taking it. Then she decided that I couldn’t use both the $2 Venus Q and the Free Olay Q, she said I had to pick one or the other. I told her I thought that was wrong and asked her to go with me to the RED PHONE. She called corp. and they said the store was right, that technically both Q’s are for the razor. The register ties both q’s to the razor or something. I had to give up and return the BW.
That sounds like something my Target will do when I go tomorrow. They act like I’m stealing from them. I’ve learned (from two seperate situations it does no good to call corrporation, they will back the store no matter what. I hate my Target!
I handed over the Free Body Wash Qs first and it beeped. The cashier pushed them through. It had nothing to do with the 2.00 off Venus Q. Sorry about your luck.
My target did the same thing, only they would not even put in the amount for the Olay price. The manager said that if it didn’t automatically put in the price then you couldn’t use the coupon. They also would not let me use my buy one get one free tide coupons. And the cashier was being a jerk and being very rude about me using all my coupons. It was a very embarrassing experience.
My target told me I had to pick between the $2 coupon and the buy one get one for the razor and body wash also. She told me they were both for the same thing, which I don’t agree with, but I gave up because I did want all of the products.
Look for clearance Embrace razors in the purple package at Target. They weren’t marked clearance but were on the clearance shelf. I scanned them and they came up $4.72 and qualified for the gift card! Woo hoo! So with that and the free body wash Q, I got two razors and one body wash for $2.72!
Dee – that’s odd because it worked for me tonight at Target. I bought two razors, used the $2 Q’s and then used 2 of the free body wash coupons. I wonder if it’s the way it was rang up?
Did your Olay q’s beep? Mine did.
No they didn’t.
and if you would have bought 3 of each, you would have gotten another $5 GC for “purchasing” 3 Olays.
I’m not sure, but I don’t think so since you have to buy 2 razors to get the gc. If you bought 4 in 2 seperate transactions you would though.
Sorry, did my math wrong. I forgot I had Oreos on my receipt and got $2.99 off, so it was a good deal but not as great as I posted. OOPS!
That’s ok, I was wrong on the 3 too. If you buy 2 each of the razors you get a $5 gc, if you buy 3 Olay’s you get a $5 gc, that’s why I tried to do 6 each. 3 GC’s for the razors and 2 for the Olay. But of course it was a no go. I may use the rest of my q’s at Wags to get the Olay rebate. Can’t go thru with another ordeal at Target!!!
Off the subject, but does anyone know if Walgreens starts discounting their Valentine items the day after Valentines???
Jana,
Walgreens usually discounts 50% the day after a holiday, really clearance starts the midnight after the holiday. However, at Christmas WAGS started discounting it’s holiday merchandise a few days before Christmas. HTH
Thanks, that does help 🙂
Also- If any of you ladies are commissary shoppers I saw today that the Olay Body Ribbons is regular price $2.50!! That’s crazy! It’s $6-$8 every where else I’ve seen! Then you can use the $1 off any Olay Q.
Help!!
I need advice! I just got back from target and noticed that the cashier didnÂ’t use a coupon I gave her. It was the one for a free olay body wash when you buy a Venus razor. It was worth 5.49!!! What can I do? I canÂ’t prove that I gave it to her although itÂ’s probably in her drawer. And of course target it closed for the night!!! IÂ’m so upset!!!
Im not exactly sure what to do- that’s happened to me before as well- i used to hand them all my coupons when i first started and apparently some would get stuck together…
All I can tell you for future reference is handing them off one by one, looking at the screen for the discounted price and then handing over another Q.
Another thing to do as shown in one of Collin’s vid’s is to lay your q’s down in a circular pattern to make sure they are all seperate from each other. I also count, before hand, the amount of qs I have too. HTH!
I have gone back to Target the next day and explained to them that I had a coupon and it was not taken off. Luckily I got a very nice customer service rep and she gave me the cash back for the amount of the coupon. Also, I now hand my coupons to the cashier one at a time, just for that reason. I have had to many stick together and not get rung up. HTH
I have had this happen. Call the store and ask them to review the tape and see what the coupon went. I have had to do this twice.
I was under the impression from my local Dollar General that they do not except Man. q’s.
Does anybody know their policy?
Just found this on full cup left by cowcow65 thanks!:
——————————————————————————–
I emailed DG about their coupon policy and this was the reponse I received. HTH.
Thank you for your e-mail.
Dollar General is pleased to accept manufacturer coupons at any of our more than 8,100 stores. If you have five coupons for five products, you may use them in one transaction unless the coupon states otherwise. If the coupon states that it is good for any product, you may use the coupon for any product even if it is not pictured, unless the coupon states otherwise.
You may use a Dollar General coupon along with a ManufacturerÂ’s coupon for the same item, as long as neither coupon states otherwise.
Unfortunately, due to fraudulent attempts, we are unable to accept internet coupons, unless they were e-mailed to you directly from Dollar General. To sign up for Dollar General promotional discounts and offers, please visit http://www.dollargeneral.com and click on the “Sign up for E-mails” link in the upper right corner of the page.
You are a valued customer here at Dollar General.

Thanks! I just signed up for their emails.
No problem! I found it after posting. I went to one and asked about Manq (even knowing this to see what they would say) and one guy was unsure but took em (cuz they scanned of course! woohoo) and the other store said yes as they should!.
Collin, Nicely done on the Target scenario! Bravo!
does anyone know what site mps is i am soooo puzzled! thank you
Is the GC promo for the Olay body washes at Target a regional thing? In this weeks flier and the next weeks(2/14-2/20) this isn’t mentioned in my ad(bellingham,wa) and when I went to do this deal tonight I scanned the item and there was no indication that it was participating in a GC promo….bummer that this is regional.
It’s not in my ad either, it must be regional
I live in Seattle and the Target I went to today (Renton) didn’t have the Olay GC deal. But I still bought 3 to do the rebate.
Walmart find $1 Gillette Fusion Razors!!! info on my blog. 🙂 southbaymouth.blogspot.com
Instead of submitting for the Olay rebate, can we use this towards a $50 purchase to get the $100 P&G coupon book? I was hoping it would work for both, but I don’t think it will because you have to submit original receipts for each one.
Thank you for the dollar general coupon policy
how do i get 3 of the $2/1 Venus Coupons and 3 of the Buy a Venus Razor, Get a Body Wash FREE Coupons… i just have 1 of these coupon from P&G… can i scan them… sorry i m new to this
No, you cannot scan coupons, it is considered coupon fraud. But you can try going to your local paper and see if they still have the Saturday paper from the 7th (which most likely they do) You can also just check and see if they have the P&G coupon inserts.
My best coupon trip ever (i’m still not a pro):
large box of tide he
18 count tide stain booster
40 cans iams cat food
8 cans friskees indoor cat food
6 gillette fusion razors
4 venus razors
4 olay body wash
total cost OOP was 31 dollars and I am submitting for the P&G coupon book as well as the $15.00 Olay rebate.
I had wonderful cashiers at Target…and apologize to the customers behind me because they were awfully busy!
So if you think about it, after the MIR of $15, your OOP is now only: $16!!! Cha-chinga!!!
You did very well. Look at what it woulda cost at reg price and you cleaned up in Aisle 5!!! LOL
Oh I hope you had a coupon for all those other items too! lol 🙂
I received a Target mobile coupons this morning with a $2 off Fusion or Venus razor. Expires 2/20/10, making this deal even sweeter!
At my Dollar General the Olay Vitality body was was only $1.87 each!
Mine also. They also had a lot of other products on clearance.
Mine too! I am stoked…I spent $2.78 on 3 body washes and will get the $15 rebate!!! Woo hoo!!!
Do you need to do the razors in two separate transactions to get 2 gift cards?
no
Does the mobile target coupon just come off one razor or each one you purchase? I got the text and did the online request but haven’t got the barcode yet. Hope it comes soon! I want to make a target run for this deal! Just hope there are some left!!
By the way, I went to dollar general and there are numerous types of Olay body wash for $2.50, so i got 3 different ones. Now while filling out the rebate I noticed that the VITALITY one rang up at $1.87- $1coupon so 0.87!!!!! so get 3 of those guys- 3 x $1off coupons and you pay a little over $2.50 for 3 and get $15 rebate!!!! nice moneymaker!!!
Thanks for the Dollar General info, I never think to go there. Does anyone know if Dollar Tree stores carry Olay body wash? If so it would only be $1 there but they dont take coupons.
Dollar Tree does not carry Olay. They usuallt carry off-brands or their own brands.
Just wanted to share that I visited Dollar General today to purchase my 3 Botanical Fusion Body Wash and they were on sale at 25% off. They were $1.87 each. I used my $1 off coupons and paid $2.80 for all three. Since I only took three coupons with me I will go back tomorrow to purchase the other two for gifts. Wow, what a savings especially with the $15 rebate. I live in North Carolina.
i just want to ask what 1/17 PG adn 2/7 PG are. thank you
1/17 PG is the Proctor & Gamble coupon insert from the Jan 17th newspaper and 2/7 PG is the Proctor & Gamble coupon insert from the Feb 7th newspaper. HTH
Dollar General(s) had the Oil of Olay Vitality for $1.87 as well!! What an awesome deal!
Yes, I bought 3 of the Olay Body Botanical Fusions at Dollar General, the “Vitality” scent, tag was marked 2.50 but they rang up as 1.87!! So, minus 3–1.00 off coupons, total with tax was 2.91, then I’m submitting for the $15 rebate….what a money maker!! Thanks Collin!!!!
Just another note, that I was able to get the olay body washes at dollar general for 1.87 too. They came out to be .87 each and 2.80 total. What a deal.
Does anyone have any suggestions. I am really frustrated with this deal. I went to Target this morning and bought 3 venus breeze razors, 1 gilette fusion and the 3 Olay body washes. Was told that I could only use one coupon per purchase. I tried to explain it meant 1 per item but they said nope they couldn’t do it. I walked out. I went to another Target and tried the same transaction and this time because my coupon beeped for the Olay body wash and said “Item not found” they said that they wouldn’t take the coupon. They tried to say it won’t work with the Target giftcard deal and then tried to say it was because I bought the Olay BW with a bonus.. AARRGGHH… I was sooo frustrated and spoke with another manager that tried to tell me that the coupon wasn’t in their system and they couldn’t accept it or override it. Soooooo frustrated at Target. Any ideas on why this is not working for me? I do think I handed over the $2 off coupon first and then the BOGO coupon, so has anyone verified that it doesn’t beep if they do the opposite?
That one beeped due to the fact THEY have to enter the price in since it is left blank for it being free. HTH
I found an Olay Botanical Fusion “vitality” (it’s the one with orange writing) for 1.87 at Dollar General. The other kind still rang up for 2.50. SCORE!!!
you too? awesome hunh?!!!
Oh this is awesome! I went to my local DG and got this deal today! And ontop of that one of the scents was 25% off. They rang up at 1.87 -$1/1q= .87c!! They only had 2 of this type so the third one was at $2.50 -1+ 1.50 Sooo this jacked up the MM deal a bit! Woo hoo.
So if you do this deal, look for the 25% off on the “Vital” scent/type. Not sure if this was just regional or not. The other types were 2.50.
I also gave these 3 to a friend at $1.00 each. She got a awesome deal, I recovered some of my money and will get the rest back via MIR too! WIN WIN!
Oh shoot I forgot to write down the UPC before giving these away!
Anybody have the UPC codes for the following: Olay Botanical – Hydrate and the Vital ones.
Im looking at the receipt and it looks like these might be them under the item. Cant verify though.
Any help would be great!
UPC on my Vitality are all the same: 0-37000-15503-4. Hope this helps 🙂
Yes! awesome! Now just need to confirm the Hydate one!!
Thank you!!!
I wonder if the rebate that is for $15 will be……$15 for these 3 items that came up at: $2.50 and 2 at $1.87. No where near $15. Even at full price (at DG) they were only 2.50 ya know?. Hmmmn. This would be awesome if they do give you the FULL amt! What a MM it will be!! Im expecting refund on just the face value (before q I assume).
I participated in another Olay $15 rebate a little over a month ago and my total OOP was @ 12 dollars and I got the full 15 back from Olay. I hope this one is the same! 🙂
Or do you have to buy up to $15 worth to get it??? Hmmmn.
Sweet! This is awesome. Thank you so much!
HAS ANYBODY DONE THE OLAY REBATE FROM 2/14 FOR $15???? I GOT MY BODY WASH AT THE DOLLAR GENERAL AND THEY SENT ME A REJECTION LETTER STATING THAT THOSE UPC’S WERE NOT PART OF THE PROMOTION. ANYBODY ELSE?????
I was denied, too. Dont panic – it was a mishap on their end – something about the UPC #s weren’ properly put in their computer. Go here to read what to do – https://givemeneither.com/what-to-do-if-your-olay-15-rebate-is-denied/
I got the rejection notice, too. Kim, thanks for the above link. Colin, maybe it would be a good idea to post the above link on the main page because whoever did the Target scenario is going to get the rejection letter.
