Out by us in CT, they double the coupons that are $.99 or under, so this could be a true bargain. However, I don’t know how to make homemade sauce, so I never purchase this item. Anyone have a simple and delicious recipe?

I always take the sauce and add our favorite seasonings like crushed/sauteed garlic, italian seasonings, and sauteed onions or onion powder and let it simmer together for a little while. Sometimes I have to add a little water to thin it out because the sauce gets thick if it simmers to long. A friend of mine adds a little sugar to hers to cut the acidity. Oh, and of course I always throw in meatballs, browned hamburger, or browned sausage!

        Yum! 🙂

      there are tons of uses!

I take a small can of sauce, add a can of diced tomatoes, some italian seasoning mix, garlic, basil… so easy, so yummy. =) Use a little tomato paste to thicken it up if necessary. I’m also thrilled with this coupon… my stores double under $1, so this will mean 18 cans for free or close to it for me, YAY!

Where are these sold? I do most of my grocery shopping at Walmart and I don’t recall seeing them.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I get them for free w/these coupons at our Giant Eagle. They’re .48 each.

Is anyone else having trouble opening some of the comments section on this blog. Some won’t open like the cheerios. victoria’s secret, and some others. I can’t figure out why some will and some won’t.

    • Jen

I’ve been having the same problems, glad to hear it’s not just me, I thought something was wrong with my computer 🙂

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks I thought it might have been me or my computer too..

    • CashInCache

Yes, I had trouble, too! I wanted to say, “Thanks!” for the Jennie-O rebate!

If you have Giant Eagle near you, this is only $.48 cents per can for the smaller sized cans. The coupon does not double properly, so make sure it does and you’ll get them free!

  7. CashInCache

I hear that these go on sale for $0.20 during the Smith’s (Kroger stores) caselot sales! So print as many as you can, then use them to really stock up!

  8. Erin Fillare

In northern va these are on real deal at Giant grocery store for 3 for $1. I have scored several times on 3 cans of the sauce with garlic and onions. Giant doubles up to .99 and these produce overage! Can’t wait to print more and score some more deals! I use them in tons of casseroles, chili, soups and pasta. You can basically use them anytime canned tomatoes are called for in a receipe. Happy shopping!

Aldi has tomato paste at this price every day. It is a great place to shop for basics like tomato paste, milk, cheese, canned goods and so forth.

  10. Jessica Johnston

I’m from ME and our Shaws grocery stores double coupons up to $.99 as well!! Hooray! Thanks for another great find Collin!
