Buy $12 in Participating Dove products = $4RR
    Buy 2 Dove Ultimate Deodorants $3.50 each = $14
Use 2 $3/2 coupons from here
    Pay $8
    Get back a $4RR
    Final cost $1 each!

Just checking that this is correct? (Buy 2 Dove Ultimate Deodorants $3.50 each = $14)

    • Sophie

Probably a typo, you need to buy 4 to reach the $14 dollars and to use both $3/2 coupons. All the math is correct, just not the number you need to buy.

    • Jill

At least in my ad (it’s a smaller version), that’s not listed as a participating product, anyway.

  2. lily

The Benadryl $4/2 qs are gone!!!!! Oh no! Anyone find them elsewhere?

    • collin

Thanks for letting me know. I am updating the deal scenario with 2 $1.50/1 Benadryl coupons.

      • Tiffany

There was a $4/2 benadryl in the Safeway March book…you might still be able to find those at the stores…

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

At my walgreens here in oregon they have fixed the registers to automaticlly take off the amount for in ad coupons whe you purchase a item on sale!! That means we can’t hand over the in ad coupon after MQ to get the overage and avoid beepage.

  4. Destiny

This is a random question– anyone else can’t get the Huggies website to work?? enjoytheriderewards.com . Have some codes and I can’t enter them because the site won’t get back the balloons….

  5. Rosie

I’m sure this will sound ignorant to many of you, but since I am not an avid Walgreen’s shopper, can you use more than 1 RR in a single transaction? I understand it acts as a coupon, and I will need the correct # of items, just not sure about the multiple RR’s? Thanks! 🙂

    • Mitchell Wischmann

      From Collin’s Walgreens store guide:

Register Reward deals do NOT roll! This means that if your receive a $2RR for purchasing Huggies diapers, you cannot use this same RR to purchase another package of Huggies diapers and expect another $2RR to be generated.

You can use as many RRs as you have items, and you can use more than 1 RR in the same transaction, however, if you are purchasing Dulcolax and you have an RR from Dulcolax, do NOT use that RR. If you do, you won’t get another RR back.

      Hope that makes sense! 🙂

      • Rosie

I get it! Thanks, Mitchell! 🙂

      • Sandy

They do roll on some occassions even though they are not supposed to.

      • Heather

My local Walgreen’s is rolling the $4RR on Dove shampoo/conditioner. And they are not limiting the amount that you buy (they knew this would be a hot deal so they ordered more than they actually felt they would need- surprisingly, it is not going as well as they thought)….I only got 6 but could have gotten a whole lot more. These are going in my donation box!!

  6. SaraJC

Accu Chek Aviva System is $9.99
    Use $10/1q that expires 3/31/10
    Final Price= Free

    • Ashly

      Mine is only a $5 🙁

  7. Kenia

Don’t know if I’m correct but aren’t the Stouffer’s coupon on the site for family size products 23 oz or bigger? I have only seen the individual size at my wags.

  8. Kate

Hey there fellow hip2savers, I have a favor to ask: I have been searching and searching to no avail for a Wags Children’s Activity Book. I’m going way out on a limb here, but would anyone mind picking one up for me and of course I’ll pay the cost of the book + shipping? E-mail me at krajfam@hotmail.com

    • Keri

Kate…I don’t have one either. But, I did see some on Ebay a few weeks ago. Check there-and it might be under “Walgreen’s Children’s Activity Book”. HTH!

    • Sophie

At this point it may not be worth it. I have heard that the coupons in the Activity Book expire March 30th or March 31st. I wouldnt want you to lose money paying for an activity book with expired coupons 🙂

  9. Amber

For the Dove Shampoo, conditioner, or styling product I cannot find the printable Q. All the ones that pull up for me are for deodorant. Anyone else find the $2/1 printable?

      • Amber

Thanks Collin. Looks like I am too late!

“The coupons for this program have been depleted.”

        • Kate

I received the same message. Bummer! It burns me that I had to give all of my info + take a survey just to be told that the q’s are depleted 🙁

          • Heather W

Sometimes if you email the companies that have printable coupons advertised on their site that aren’t working they will mail you one. I have done this before, because it is frustrating when you do all their surveys etc and then no coupon. I think if the coupons aren’t printing anymore they should take it off their website. That is just my opinion though. 🙂

  10. Lisa

To make the dulcolax deal even sweeter, there is a coupon for FREE bottled water when you buy any dulcolax balance in the 3/7 SS!

    • Bev

Thanks, Lisa! I had forgotten I had that coupon in my stash.

    • Natalie

There is also the same coupon hanging on the bottle of dulcolax, it says for cashier to enter value for a max of $2.00…I did this deal today and when she rang up the coupon, it took off two dollars automaticall and my water bottle was only around 1 dollar

  11. Elisabeth

I just have a couple Walgreens questions since I just started shopping there… Does anyone know:

When Walgreens does a 2/$7 deal, can you just buy one for $3.50 or do you have to buy two to get that price?

Also, if there is a $5 rr for buying $25 worth of something, does that $25 go off of shelf price or sale price?

    THANKS!

    • Sandy

It depends. If you are using the 7-Day flyer q’s and it is 8/$1, you will get the sale price. If it is an advertised price then no, you would not get it for $3.50 if you buy one.

When it comes to a deal where you get $5 for $25 purchase, your total needs to be $25 before q’s for the register system to recognize and generate the $5 RR. If the sale price is with a WAGS coupon then no, your total would not have to be $25 after coupons. If it is a sale price without coupon then yes, your total would have to be brought to $25 to get the $5 RR.

      • Kirsten

I have found that when items are on sale for 2/$8, the first one rings up at regular price and the second one rings up at a reduced price. I had this problem with the Neosporin Lip a couple of months ago. The first one would ring up at regular price, $5.49 and the second one would ring up for $2.51. That is why when I would use 2/$3 coupons the second one would beep. It was looking for an item over $3 and there was only one. I am not sure if this is just my area or nationwide, and it may be different from sale to sale and item to item.

  12. stephanie

Hi, does anyone have rolling senarios? I make mine every week but it would be easier to talk it out with some one – like buy ____ get $3 RR use that to buy ____ get $2 RR… And keep going!

    • Sandy

This is my plan. I have a $4RR from Colgate and a $1RR from Kraft

      Transaction #1

$ 4.00 Dove Hair care product
      $ 2.00 Dentek products
      $ 1.00 2 Comet cleansers (filler items)
      -$ 2.00 Dove printable coupon
      -$ 1.00 Dentek printable coupon
      -$ 4.00 $4 RR from Colgate
0.00 out of pocket (you will need to pay tax, of course) and you will get back $6 in RR ($4 for the Dove and $2 for the Dentek)

      Now..transaction #2

      $10.00 Dulcolax
      $ 1.98 2 Pure 1 liter bottled waters
      $ 1.00 3 legal pads (filler items)
      -$ 4.00 Dulcolax printable
-$ 2.00 $2 off any bottled water purchase at the time you buy Dulcolax (found in the 3/28 coupon section or on some bottles of Dulcolax
      – Legal pad Walgreen’s coupon found on page 8 of the Sunday Sales flyer
      -$ 4.00 $4 RR from Dove
      -$ 2.00 $2 RR from Dentek
$ .98 OOP plus tax and get back a $10 RR

I choose the 1 liter bottles of Pure because I don’t use bottled waters and I wanted to keep my OOP low. There is a 24-pack of Pure Bottled water on sale for $2.99 with coupon found on page 1 of the Sunday sales flyer. You could buy any kind of water you want.

I choose 3 legal pads for my filler items because they were inexpensive and I am forever making lists and could stock up. There are other inexpensive items you could buy to have enough items for the number of coupons such as Easter candy for 39 cents with in-ad coupon (page 1), 2 Comet cleansers for $1.00 (page 6)…just check out the items in the Sunday sales ad that have coupons. Don’t forget, there are always the stand-by filler items like Ramen noodles at 4/$1, Walgreen’s brand travel tissues or the soft caramels found at the registers for 39 cents.

Now, you have a $10 RR and you can do this…transaction #3

$ 4.00 Dove hair care product
      $ 2.00 Dentek product
      $ 7.00 Simply saline product
      -$ 2.00 Dove printable coupon
      -$ 1.00 Dentek printable coupon
      -$10.00 $10 RR from Dulcolax
0.00 OOP (just pay tax) and get back $13.00 back in RR’s ($7 from Simply Saline, $4 from Dove and $2 from Dentek)

      Now…transaction #4

      $ 10.00 Dulcolax product
      $ 1.00 3 legal pads (filler items)
      – Legal pad Walgreen’s coupon found on page 8 of the Sunday Sales flyer
      -$ 4.00 Dulcolax printable coupon
      -$ 7.00 $7RR from Simply Saline
0.00 (pay just tax) and get back a $10 RR for the Dulcolax

      So…

You started out with a $4 RR, you paid .98 plus tax on the 4 transactions and you ended up with $16 in RR. Not including tax, this is a $12 Money Maker!!!!!

$ 4.00 Dove hair care product
      $ 2.00 Dentek product
      $ 7.00 Simply saline product
      -$ 2.00 Dove printable coupon
      -$ 1.00 Dentek printable coupon
      -$10.00 $10 RR from Dulcolax
0.00 OOP (just pay tax) and get back $13.00 back in RR’s ($7 from Simply Saline, $4 from Dove and $2 from Dentek)

      Now…transaction #4

      $ 10.00 Dulcolax product
      $ 1.00 3 legal pads (filler items)

      • Jill

        Wow, you’re amazing!

      • Christy

        Fantastic Sandy!!

      • Susan V.

        WOW!! That’s impressive!!!

        • Sandy

          Awww, thanks!

      • Nicolle

Sandy, This is awesome! Question, what if I am not starting iwth a $4 RR? I am out…so should I just use this as what I would inititally pay OOP. Thanks, Man math is not my strength, I have no idea how you came up with this. This is wonderful!

        • Sandy

Well, I would. It depends on how much $$ you can play with. I think if you have the $$ to invest per say, it will more than make up for itself.

          • Nicolle

Okay last question, how do you know when to stop? Do I go all the way or do I just go through till about $10? I man I guess the answer is to try and maximize, right? There is a part of me that says do I need all of this? I guess it has to do with Colin’s earlier post about knowing when to say when…thanks for letting me bounce it off of you.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        Hi Sandy-
The comment fairy has noticed your helpful suggestions and would like to award you with a $5 Amazon E-card (which you will receive shortly via email). Thanks for helping a fellow “hip” reader!

        • Lisa

This is SUPER cute, Collin, er, Comment Fairy. How sweet, too.

        • Susan V.

YAY for Sandy! It’s great to read all Collin’s scenario’s, and Sandy’s additions too! I love it all!!

      • dawn

        thank you Sandy!

      • Amy

WOW! It boggles my mind that you could come up with all of that. I really do appreciate that you’d pass that info on to everyone else! :0)

    • SaraJC

I thought you couldnt use an RR for the same product???

      • Shelly G.

Question… is there a link for a printable Dentek coupon?? Or was it only available in the January SS? Thanks

        • Ashly

I have a dentek coupon from some Sunday paper insert (2 actually! ) I also have a $1 off ANY Simply Saline (no idea what paper it was from sorry) So I’m adding in a $1 extra… of something!

Sandy You’re my HERO! You rock!

  13. Beth

The Dove shampoo/conditioner printable says it is all out of prints. Anyone else having this issue?

    • dani

yes, I am. comment on another blog says that you should check back often because the coupons comes and goes over time.

      • Beth

Thanks. I’ve tried for the last few days.

        • Natalie

I usually check iheartwags.com every few days and she will post ad previews and sometimes she has little scenarios set up and you can print the coupon then. I guess if you wait till saturday/sunday, everyone else will know about the coupon so they will go really fast. Does that make any sense, lol?

  14. Elisabeth

    Thanks Sandy!

    • Sandy

      My pleasure.

  15. Christy

Curious if any of you experience a Cashier who insists on ringing up the Wag’s coupons BEFORE the mfg coupons when WE know their register is going to beep if they don’t put the mfg coupons thru first? Sometimes Walgreen’s can be such a hassle. But of course all stores are different, so it just depends on which store you visit too. 🙂

    • Kari

yes – that is order many of them are told to ring them up – to avoid overage!! they can adjust the value of the MQ then – no overage, but still free product (before tax of course)

    • Sandy

That is a bunch of baloney! I’m assuming you are giving the MFQ first, then the WAGS q to get an overage. In that case, they would need to adjust the MFQ down and you would atleast get the item for free.

    • Amanda

I just keep the Wags coupons in my wallet until after all the manufacturer’s coupons clear. And then I’m like, “oh whats this? Looks like more coupons!” lol

      • Sarah

I’ll do that too! However, one time the cashier voided the transaction and re-rang the entire thing using the Wags coupons first. I was so frustrated because it took forever!!

      • patti

i do the same! keep the wags q’s out of sight and then bring them out after the others are rung up! works like a charm!

  16. Nicole Z.

Regarding this past week’s Huggies deal, did anyone have a problem with their RR not printing out? The mgr. said that since I used coupons, the RR would not print out. He said that it’s a new thing with Kimberly-Clark (Huggies mfr.). I thought he was off his rocker. I figured the RR didn’t print out because I used a combo of Little Snugglers w/two reg. jumbo packs. ALL were jumbo packs for $8.99…not sure why my RR didn’t print out…figured it was the combo of the three, a computer glitch or something else. Would be interested to know if anyone had problems with this Huggies deal this week. Thanks!

    • Sandy

That is not the case. The RR should print regardless of the coupons you use unless you used a RR from the same manufacturer as the HUGGIES, which is Kimberly Clark. You can always call customer service if you have the receipt and they will mail out a Catalina. I’ll check if I can find that number for you.

      • Sandy

Catalina company 888-322-3814. have your receipt in front of you, they need some key info from it, and they’ll be able to see if the machine was working and if you bought the right products. It does tend to take a few minutes for the call, and then you have to wait to get the RR, which takes 6 – 8 weeks.

        • LeeAnn

I dealt with the Catalina company a couple of weeks ago for a Wag’s RR not printing and they were AWESOME!! About a week later, the RR came in the mail & doesn’t expire until May!!! You will need to have your receipt in front of you when you call.

    • Elisabeth

I did the exact same thing as you did and my rr printed just fine! Walgreens can be so weird sometimes!

    • Nicole Z.

Thanks, guys! I returned the diapers right then and there since the Catalina didn’t print.
I might try a last minute run tonight to buy some diapers. Sandy-Thank you for the Catalina number. I am going to write that down.

  17. Rosa

I am still really new at this! So I have a quick question: What If I am given a $5 RR but only want to spend say $4: do I have to buy $5 worth of stuff in that transaction, no matter what? Thanks!

    • Abby

Your subtotal before tax must be $5 or more to use your RR of $5

  18. Sandy

    Nicolle,
I would say you should keep going until you have what it is you really want. I always shoot for free product at a profit. I have learned that sometimes you have to buy things you don’t want or won’t use to get what you do want for free or for a great deal you wouldn’t otherwise have gotten. You can always donate the items you don’t want. If you like the Dove hair care products for example, I would work several deals to get several bottles, especially if I had the coupons to use. If you aren’t fussy about the shampoo you and your family use, then get a couple to tide you over. There is always another deal just around the corner.

    • Nicolle

      Thanks Sandy!! You are awesome!

  19. Christa

    I have a coupon crisis. I need a scanned copy of the Walgreens Coloring Book Huggies coupon. This is why;
I let my friend (a newbie couponer) use my treasured Walgreens Coloring Book coupons to get the Huggies deal this week. When she went in yesterday a new cashier rang her up. The new cashier told her “this is a manufacuters coupon. you can only use it once on one item.” and then (gasp) proceeded to cut it out! I’ve since talked to the manager and she has agreed to allow me to use a scanned copy of this coupon until it expires. However I was needing to do the Huggies deal myself and can’t until I get either the scanned copy and print it or the barcode number. Can anyone one help a fellow couponer out? I’m in Oregon and my store is open until 10. So I’ve got almost 3 hours until closing!

    Thank you in advance,
    Christa
    christapatton@q.com

    • ali

      Christa–
If you need the barcode number from the Wags Activity Book for the Huggies, it is 0-0000002035-0. 🙂 Also, if you happen to need gummy vitamins, the 140 ct. Lil Critters rang up for me today at $5.99 instead of $9.99, so you can use the Activity Book coupon of 0-0000002039-8 for $2 off and get them for $3.99.

      • Christa

Ali~ Thank you!!!! I was able to get the Huggies deal! I soooo appreciate it. I also thank you for the heads up on the gummy vitamins. Thankfully the rest of my Wags CAB coupons are intact and will last me until the end of March!
Has anyone heard of a new CAB coming out?

        • ali

hi again! i heart wags has posted about a new act. book on her site with coupons good thru may, but i haven’t seen it in my store yet. 🙂

  20. couponlovingmommy

thermacare heatwrap coupon link didn’t work for me–took my info and then said the coupon’s page had moved.

  21. Keri

I was at Walgreens the other day and got the Olay lotion/in-shower lotion BOGO deal. When I handed over my coupons, two $1/1 mq, I was told I could only use one since I was getting the other for free. I had heard before that Walgreens does allow you to use two coupons for BOGO products, so I was surprised when the manager confirmed that they do not. Since I was getting the one for free I didn’t press the issue, but I’m curious, for future reference, if this is Walgreens policy or a store error. ??

    • Kristen

I had no problem using the two $1 coupons on the b1g1 deal. It was a really young kid..looked like he really didn’t care so not sure if that was a rule or not.

  22. Kelsey

My Walgreens did not have clean and clear for 20% off when you buy 2…….any one else coming across this? The cashier said that was a internet only deal?

  23. Amber

The Airwick motion sprays were $3.99. I asked the manager if they would be willing to adjust my coupon down and he said, ‘yes’. Phew! Usually they don’t like doing that. I also had my coupon for free water beep when I used it with the Dulcolax Q. They pushed it through anyway. 🙂 My lucky day today.

Has anyone heard or seen anything about a new coloring coupon book?

    • Kim

My Walgreens manager wouldn’t adjust the coupon down, he said that wasn’t ethical and it was cheating the system. I had to buy something to cover the 1 cent overage. I also was purchasing two wick sytems and using 2 coupons and he wouldn’t let me purchase in the same transaction. He said I had to purchase in two separate purchases. Then he made the comment that he would just get the $4 back from the manufacturer. I have never experienced this before. I normally have no problems at Walgreens with my coupons. Did anyone else experience this?

      • Jenn Davis

When I went to use my $4/1 airwick q at Wags, the kid cashier had trouble getting it through. He got the assistant manager and she told me that I couldn’t use it because it was for $4 when it was only on sale for $3.99. I asked her why she can’t adjust it down like all other stores do and she said she wasn’t allowed because it was illegal and was a form of coupon fraud!! I had no problem across the street at Kroger where they had Promise butter for .98 and I had a q for $1.00 off, they just gave .02 back!

      • JA9

MY WALGREENS WOULD NOT EVER ADJUST THE COUPON VALUE.. BECAUSE TECHNICALLY IT IS ILLEGAL (THEY WOULD GET REIMBURSED $4 WHEN THEY ONLY SOLD IT FOR $3.99) I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY…WHEN IN THIS SCENARIO THEY ARE MAKING A PENNY OFF OF ME. 🙁 THEY WOULDN’T EVEN LET ME USE (2) COUPONS FOR A BOGO SALE. BECAUSE THEY ALWAYS SAY– “YOU ARE GETTING IT FOR FREE, WHY ARE YOU USING ANOTHER COUPON?” ……….

  24. Tracy

I went this morning to get the Airwick motion spray. Unfortunately, they were now marked 14.99 at my store here in Starkville, MS. I was shocked at such a price difference. Needless to say I turned around and walked out.

    Maybe next time!

    • Amber

My regular sized ones were marked that too, but if you look down the isle a little further you can find the compact ones for 7.99 (3.99 on sale). There were $4 MFQs for the compact ones too!

      • Tracy

        Amber,

I didn’t know they had compact ones. I’ll have to go back out later tonight. Think i might give them one more chance 🙂

        Thanks for the info!!

        • Tracy

So, I go back to walgreens and found the 7.99 airwick. I’m so excited. Get up to the registered and the dude will not let me use the coupon. UG! Oh well, I’m having much better luck with deals at CVS. Might just have to forget walgreens.

  25. Alisia A.

    SANDY :
Your are soooo HELPFUL !!! Thank You for posting some really GREAT deals !!! 🙂

  26. SaraJC

Free airwick, free accu-chek, & free halls! my store doesnt carry the litehouse caramel dip =[ or else that would of been free aswell

  27. Stephanie

My store’s flyer has the 12-roll packages on Cottonelle on sale for $4 which can then be paired with the .50/1 printable or .50/1 that are usually in the Sunday paper for a total cost of $3.50. These are usually priced around $6.

    • Heather

      I got 2 packages for $.75 (for both) that’s $.03 per roll 🙂

      • Heather

        My transaction went as follows:
        Cottonelle 12 rolls $5.00
        Cottonelle 12 rolls $5.00
        pencil (filler) $ .09
        Mfg Q ($2/2) $2.00
        RR (from Dove) $4.00
        RR (from Dove) $4.00

        Subtotal $0.09
        Tax $0.66
        Total OOP $0.75

  28. Jennifer Spangle

I am new at shopping at walgreens and I was wondering if I buy 2 tylenol products and 2 sudafed products will I get 2 5rr or just one and can I then use the RR towards the special on coke products

    • ali

hi, you have to do 2 separate transactions to generate 2 RR, but you can definitely use them on coke and still get the coke RR…just don’t use the RR on the same deal (ie–don’t use the tylenol RR when you are buying the sudafed, because they are the same company.) 🙂

  29. Amanda

Good week at Wags! I just wanted to remind everyone to be sure you check the expiration dates when you are buying food from there. I went last week to get the Planters deal and the first two bags I picked up expired in 2009 and tonight I went to get the Stouffers and my entree expired in January… I know the food is still probably good, but with two little kiddos I’m not taking any chances! I still love Wags though and thanks for all these great deal posts guys!!

  30. Stephanie Werner

Couldn’t find the Lean Cuisine coupon… ideas??

  31. Jill

I’m so excited! I just got back from Wags and spent about $26, but saved over $100, and still have $30 in RRs to use over the next 2 weeks! I made even more money by purchasing Betty Crocker potatoes at Smith’s on my way home!

  32. Christy

I couldn’t find any Walgreens multivitamins on sale at my store. I found one small 100 count bottle, but they were around $6 when I had the cashier check the price. Has anyone else found the ones that are $3 with a $3 RR?

  33. Olivia Smith

Is anyone else having an issue on using a WAGS coupon and Manufacturer coupon for the same item? I never have before, and tonight I was unable to use the 2 coupons for the Starburst on my transaction.

  34. stephanie m

Did anyone have trouble with the dulcolax coupon? My RR didn’t print out and the manager told me it’s because I used a coupon. He gave me a refund for 6 bucks and my coupon back! I’m pretty steamed. He says it’s because RR are manufacturer’s coupons and some manufacturer’s have it stipulated that you can’t use their coupons and get a RR. I told him that Dove had no problem with it and he said it depends on the manufacturer. I’m pretty steamed about it. It would be different if I tried rolling it with RR but this was using a coupon. GRRR! Of course it was at a Walgreens across town so I can’t go back in tomorrrow to talk to anothe Manager. I wonder if my closer Wags would let me take it back and get a refund for my other $4?

    • Olivia Smith

Oh my– I’ve never had an issue getting back RR when I use a coupon on that item. I would definitely call corporate at (847) 914-2500 and speak with someone there. Walgreens has started to not become my favorite place to use coupons, but once I learn the reins– maybe I’ll be ok. I was in CVS and my ECBs didn’t print so the supervisor manually printed them….. thank goodness, that was $4.

      • stephanie m

thanks. I’ve been thinking about this morning and now I’m not so steamed LOL. I realized that I got my $4 off of my transaction and he gave me $6.47 back (tax) and I got my coupon back which is good until May. Now I feel bad because I *did* cheat them since I got my $10 AND can still use my coupon. Ooops!

    • Kiesha

I was able to do a little better on the Clean and Clear deal. The Oil Free Foaming Facial Cleanser was $4 so $3.20 after 20% off, I used 2 x $2/1 for 2.40 OOP, then got my $3 RR. 🙂

  35. Samantha

I didn’t want to chance the Clean & Clear deal b/c my ad said something like ” on items pictured” and the only 2 items in the ad were more expensive than Collin’s scenario. Obviously Kiesha received RRs….. has anyone else had luck with other items that are not pictured in the ad? Is the RR deal for any Clean & Clear products? I will probably stop by again tomorrow but just wasn’t in the mood for problems today…LOL!
