I guess someone beat me with the email. I signed up for this about 45 minutes ago and the site was really slow. There are a lot of graphics on the page.
I am confused about how to get this sample. I get to the point where it says “try this sample” or something like that. When I click on that it just takes me to my Vocal Point page. How do I sign up for the sample? Or is it automatically sent without having to confirm my address?
Jenny, It takes a lot of time, but after you pick one the pictures, it goes to your name and address, and then hit submit. Mine took forever and I to was confused.
I kinda agree, I got the email from Vocal Point at 7:41 p.m. Could you have waited a little time before you blogged about it to let the people that are members already get their samples. The power of the internet and your site is amazing.
I completely agree. This was posted 1 minute after I received the e-mail and now I can’t get it.
This was also posted in the freebies section on Slickdeals. I tried from my email right after I got it and still can’t get thru. I kinda agree with the screamer above (altho more politely 🙂 ). It would be nice if members could get theirs before the dogpile started. On the other hand, I just got three FREE full-size Dove poos/cond @ Wags (and I’m going back every day this week for more!) and it looks like next week it will be be free Pantene (w/the q’s from the last Vocalpoint freebie) @ CVS. What do I have to complain about – I’m swimming in this stuff!
One more thing….now that I think about it….I love when Collin posts about things like Kraft First Taste. I am a member, but never think to check that site. There are lots of times when I get my freebie JUST because of Collin’s alert. So THANK YOU Collin! You have the best blog of anyone! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Collin is great, but do you honestly think the server is busy because of her? People get email on their phones immediately these days and others sit on their computers so don’t be blaming Collin for the site being busy. You should thank her for telling you about Vocal Point in the first place.

Seriously, if it weren’t for Collin’s post, I might have missed it. I only check my email once or twice a day, but I check this site many times a day. I saw it here first (though I had received the email, since I’m already a member). Keep doing what you do Collin, and don’t change it! If it weren’t for you posting this, I might have missed this one.
For those of you complaining, I bet 99% of the people here are already vocal point members and got the email anyway. Obviously, thousands of people got the email at the same time and that’s why it was bogged down- not cause of this site. I waited an hour, came back to it, and there was no wait then. AND the same thing was posted on tons of blogs, not just this one.

At what point in the sign up? I went through the link in my email, so I was automatically signed in. Then when I got to the point where I clicked on “get this sample” I was just taken back to my Vocal Point page.
yup, that’s all I did too.
I went in through email, and it said confirm your address after I clicked the get this sample. Then it said, ” I’m on my way, not help your friends match with their…….blah blah blah. So I would try again for anyone not confirming their address. HTH
Just to throw my two cents in… I signed up for the sample when I recieved the email about 10-15 minutes before Collin posted and it took forever… And all the complaining over some shampoo… wow.

I got an email also…I clicked “medium thick”, then I clicked “get sample”, and then it went back to the “Mr. Right” page, so I hope I got it.

I think the vocalpoint site broke. Now it keeps saying “service unavailable” everytime I refresh.
It took awhile, but I did manage to get this one! Missed out on the last on VP had so I an happy to be getting this one! 🙂

all this over a shampoo sample? LOL Just give it some time to load. I used the link in my email and got the ‘server busy’ message a few times, so I figured it was posted all over the ‘net by now. After waiting for a few mins, the page finally loaded, I clicked on the sample kit I wanted and took another minute for my info to come up. Hit submit and took another minute for the confirmation page to come up. I’d say it took about 10-12 mins from start to finish.

When I first did this offer, “get sample” was on another page, and when you clicked it, it went back to home page…after reading your comment, I tried again, and this time, after I clicked “medium thick”, “get sample” showed up on the same page, then it went to the page with my info, then said it was on the way.

Yay! I got my sample….it took a little bit of time…but I was patient and willing to keep trying. I find it ridiculous people are trying to blame Collin because the site is slow. Are we really going to get hostile over a free sample? wow….there are other blogs and VP members who get emails and send out notifications. Calm down and keep trying…regardless if she posted it now or later the site still would have been slow.

The website was slow, so I checked back an hour later, and it was super fast! And I check hip2save before I check my e-mail, so I’m GLAD Collin put up this offer as quickly as she did! And I guarantee the site wasn’t slow because she posted the deal. I think everyone needs to take a deep breath and just remember that it’s only a free sample of shampoo, for goodness sake!
