I am not a fan of credit cards because of the potential for racking up lots of debt. However, I am convinced that it may be worth signing up for the Victoria’s Secret Angel Credit Card because of the awesome rewards that you receive in return.

Collin this is a fact i have there VIP card and i get coupons for free panties and coupon for a dollar off amount on bra at least every month no purchase necessary..plus the birthday bonus hubby gets it and i get them too..
I have an angle card and i use to get “free Panty” coupons every month or so, then they turned into “free panty with any purchase.” they also come with 10$ off any bra purchase. I don’t use the card often enough to see the value in having an additional credit car
I’ve had it for 6 months…I only have two credit cards and this is one of them. I think it’s only worth it if you shop at VS a LOT. I do, so I took the plunge, but I pay it off each month.
Here’s my two cents:
– When you get it, you’ll get a Passbook of Savings (PBOS in VS lexicon). That has monthly coupons that can be used twice (once online and once in-store). A lot of these coupons are for free panties and/or $$$ off bras. Last month I got two free lacie panties (retail $16 each). This month is $15 off a push-up bra (I’m stacking that with a SRC).
– There are codes that can only be used if charging your purchase to a VS card. Some are for free shipping, free panties, tiered discounts. Some of these codes can be used multiple times.
– Finally, this isn’t a reason to get the card…but it deserves a mention. I think the VS employees are more helpful when they see me whip out my VS card. For example, I can often get by with stacking free coupon deals (i.e. using two PINK Nation coupons in one transaction).

I do have a VS Angel credit card and I keep it only for the free perks. When I buy something on it I try to go immediately and pay it off but it is definitely worth it for the number of coupons and free panties I receive. I think I usually only receive free panties about 4 times a year and I’ve also received free perfume and a free tank top. I also get quite a few $10 off a bra cards in the mail and to get to shop the semi annual sale before everyone else is def a perk!!!
I am an Angel VIP cardholder too and I get the coupons in the mail close to every month – I’d say about 9-10 times a year. They are almost always for a free pair of underwear (they always specify which ones, aligns with the current promotions) and $10 off a bra purchase (sometimes it’s any, sometimes specific ones).
The q in my wallet right now is Free VS Undies panties up to $8.50 value plus $10 off any bra excluding PINK line. Plus an attached coupon for VIP members of $5 off any fragrant body care item.
I have a card that I use a few times a year (and promptly pay off), the free panty coupons usually come about once a month or so. It’s no where near 50 though (or if it is I must not use the card enough). FYI — The coupons are for free panties, but it’s usually paired with a get $$ of bras if you purchase them with the free panties. You DO NOT have to purchase anything to get the free panties. Most of the other perks involve using your card. I don’t know that I would rush out to get a card if you don’t already have one. I think the only reason I do was to snag some percentage off or something.
i never get samples mailed to me and i hardly ever get free panty coupons and i have had the vs cc for over 2yrs. the only panty coupon i get is for vs pink and thats because i joined pink nation.
You can pay it off in the store! I suggest doing this!!! Use your card and then immediately pay it off!
Oh and most of them do NOT require a purchase for the free panty but they are for specific colors. Lately they’ve been flying in and I don’t use my card much.
I have the credit card and use it about 10 times a year. I have only recieved a few free panty coupons and have had the card for over a year. Most of the coupon are good with another purchase which usually doesnt include sale or clearance items so to me its not worth it. Usually I just use the credit card online when you post Hot deals like around xmas time. Honestly if you dont care for credit cards I wouldnt even suggest getting this one, because the perks arent anything special.
I’ve got to agree. I’ve had mine over 2 years and I never get free panty coupons any more, even when I use it often. I think the first year is when they send you all the coupons and offers and then it tapers off. It’s worth getting for the first year, though! After that I’d cancel it.
Oh, and I agree about paying it off right away… use the card in store and then in the same transaction you can pay it off by writing a check and giving it to the cashier. You will never get a credit card bill in the mail!
Sometimes I wonder . . . last summer they had the free Mars candy bar promotions. I sent one to my boyfriend at home and myself at work same day 2 minutes apart (on-line) – got the coupon at the office but never at home. I have a VS CC and use it but get one coupon for free panties maybe 3-4x a year. I dont always get my samples and wonder if the “stuff” gets “lost” at the post office. Once i got a coupon said its at bottom of this flier and it wasnt there 😐 But i dont think i’ve ever gotten 50.

I do not have a VS CC and I still get the coupons mentioned for free panties and $10 off bras. I have purchased maybe 2 bras there ever but have gotten many free panties! I’m not convinced about getting the CC since I already get coupons.

I’ll second this as well. I’m not sure how I wound up getting the free panty coupons (and others), but I’ve never had their cc. It seems like I’ve gotten 2 or 3 in the last couple months – the most recent one didn’t have any color restrictions on the free panty (they usually do).
when you check out the cashier asks for a phone number which is linked to your address. that’s how you get the coupons without the card.

I do NOT & never have had have a VS card and I get coupons mailed to me almost monthly for free panties from both the VS & Pink side of the store. I also get a $10 gift card my birthday month.
how do you sign up for your birthday without the cc? I called to be put on the mailing list and they said there is no area to put a b-day to get the q’s. Thanks guys!!
I used to work there! You do get a few more offers if you have the credit card, but you don’t have to have it to get a a TON of the free offers. I never got their credit card. The interest is really high. I have an account on their website and I signed up for the emails. I just got my $10 birthday gift certificate. I get coupons and freebie offers in the mail and in my email all the time. I haven’t bought panties in ten years, since I get the free panty coupons so often. I usually have to give some away since I get so many. When you go into the store to make a purchase, or redeem free coupons, they will ask for your phone number and/or email address. Give it to them. The more often you go in, even if you just redeem the free stuff and never buy anything, the more free offers you’ll get.
I think they got my birthday from filling out to get coupons at Bath and Body Works. Something you may want to consider before getting card they will charge you to send you a bill in the mail.
I was just about to say the same thing. I’ve gotten free panties there almost every month. They’ve either been from VS or Pink Nation. I don’t really see the value in getting the card (for me) because I don’t have enough self-control to not max it out on jammies! As far as getting the free panties, goes, the key is to use the coupon every time you get one, and they’ll likely send you another.
I don’t have a cc either and get free coupons and birthday coupons all the time.
I have had a VS credit card for about 5 years and I love it. I can’t tell you the last time I bought underwear because they send coupons for free underwear at least 20 times a year (the coupons come to both my husband and I since we are both cardholders on the same account). The trick is to buy things on your VS credit card (which earns you points towards gift certificates), then turn around and make a payment on your card right after the purchase is made. That, and having the willpower to walk in and only get the free underwear without buying anything else. VS has great deals. Even though they are expensive, if you play your cards right, you come out ahead and get better quality clothing.
I just wanted to clarify… my husband and I get about 10 each per year, so about 20 total. Which seems on track with what most other people are saying. 🙂 I’ve never gotten anything close to 50 a year, either.
so you will still earn the points if you pay off your balance right there on the spot right after putting the purchase on the card??

we got a card a few years back, i used it that one time, paid it off right there, and havee never used it since. they still send me free panty coupons and $10 off a bra coupon, i DO NOT need to use the card to get these free items!
I have the VS CC. I got it for the second time in my life last month. I mainly got it because I have 2 weddings in the next 3 months and wanted to get stuff from the Bridal Line. Bonus was it was time for the Secret Rewards Card. 😉 I got this little book of coupons like everyone else was saying. I try to pay it off ASAP, right now I have a $30.00 balance. I just reached my 250 points for the VIP. I think it’s worth it with all the deals it comes with.
I have an Angel card- it’s my only store card and I love it for all the perks! I pay it off every month so it doesn’t cause me any trouble and customer service is great. I looove VS!
I have had their card for almost 10 years now. I never carry a balance, and only keep it for their promotions. I have never gotten close to 50 free panty coupons in the mail each year. I usually only get a few each year. Last year, I did get more than usual (maybe like 10?), but I haven’t gotten any lately though. It did seem like they had changed their signature panties elastic style like 2 different times last year. The one elastic style was terrible, and then I noticed that the next time I went it was changed back to their previous elastic style. Perhaps they sent out more coupons last year because of the changes in their panties?
I have a VS credit card and i get a few coupons every other month or so for free panties. If I didnt already have it, I probably would not go out and get it. I get my bills in the mail and on my last statement they want to start charging me $1 for getting it that way. That does not sit well with me. I am probably not their ideal customer cause I pay i off every month when i use it.
you will only get charged a $1 to keep receiving your bill via snail mail. sign up for bills through your email and you won’t get charged the $1.
I have had the VS credit card for a long time. I do get alot of coupons in the mail for the free panties. There were even times I was getting them so many times that I was not making it to the store to use them. I haven’t received one in awhile so I think it may depend on how much you use the credit card. I haven’t used mine in awhile. I have been thinking about canceling it but I use it when they have the semi annual clearance online even though I can use my debit card. I also get alot of Bath and Body works coupons in the mail to.
C..they sent a notice to all cardholders months ago that they would charge $1 for every mailed statement. It was in fine print with a lot of other information.
of course i didnt read that. not sure i want to get my bills to me email. might be too easy to hit delete and forget to pay them.
I don’t get near 50 free panties a year.. about once a month. I always pay it off immediately. And, you can use it at Bath & Body Works to earn points as well! I love it. It is the only and will be the only credit card I have.

They are owned by the same company so you can use the same cc card at both of them. I think you can use the gift cards at VS on bath and body but not the other way around… at least thats the way it was a xmas time…
The VS card and the Kohl’s card are the best cards in my opinion! Last Christmas we got all those deals on sweaters and the secret cards. They also put $10 coupons in their catalog. I had about $50 in $10 cards to use – it was great!
My other favorite card is Kohl’s because of the extra discounts. They send out 15%, 20% or 30% off everything coupons all the time. If you order online you can almost always find a code for 30% off and free shipping when you use your Kohl’s card. And many times these extra discounts are during Kohls cash time. I saved a ton of money while I was Christmas shopping!

My friend was always getting “skinny” clearance catalogs (they are half the width of the regular catalogs) that were better than my regular catalogs that come in the mail all of the time. Once I signed up for the Angels card (that I pay off every month because the finance charges are a bear if you don’t), I started receiveng the “skinny” catalogs too! I think the skinny catalog gives cardholders a heads up on super clearance prices. When you enter the item numbers you don’t even see a picture (just a description).
I always turn down coupon offers but because I heart VS it has been wonderful being a cardholder.
All things that you mentioned are great perks. They don’t send me 50 free panties but I do get quite a few. Once every month or 2 like others have mentioned.
I get about 1 coupon a month. Did not know you can use it at Bath and Body Works.

I don’t have any sort of VS credit card. At all. But every month, I get three coupons for free undies and $10 off bra purchase. One on my name, one in my hubby’s, and one in my teenage daughters. All we did was give the cashier our email addresses! They always ask for it when I make a purchase. My daughters friend did the same thing, and now she gets the coupons each month, too.
Same thing for “Justice”. Each month I get a “40% entire store”, just for giving the cashier our email address!
I used to have one, but found myself spending more money in there even though I paid it off each month, so i closed it.
I still receive coupons from them now without the temptation to buy stuff and get points! 🙂
I love my VS credit card. I only charge a little bit throughout the year and promptly pay it off. We also get coupons for Free panties in both me and DH’s name and the Birthday perks are great; $10 off any purchase! So, we get two of those each year as well. You can use the VS credit card at BBW because they are owned by the same parent company. So, if all you are looking for is the Free panty q’s and the $10 off any bra q’s you don’t need the CC, but there are more perks with the card. Just like any other CC, common sense should prevail!! I love VS!!!
I do not have a Victoria’s Secret card and I get coupons for free panties + $10 off a particular bra about once a month. When you shop there, just give them your # and email when they ask for it and you’ll reap the rewards.
I love your blog – it’s wonderful and it saves me tons of money – your hard work is much appreciated! However, I’m a little disappointed to see you advocating a credit card on your blog…it just seems not quite right.
I think we’re all big girls (and boys!) and can decide whether or not we want to get a credit card. 🙂
If you use the card like you should and pay it off each month there is no big deal, it actually turns into a money maker with the perks. Seriously you as many others must forget this is HER blog and she can do what she darn well pleases. She blogs for the masses not just you so while you are “dissapointed” many others are greatful for the info! Move on!

I get free panty coupons all the time in the mail and I’ve never had the credit card. I think maybe it is from ordering online? I definitely get 10-20 a year, but that’s including PinkNation coupons. I have to say I LOVE my local VS. Last time I went in with the coupon they didn’t have any color restrictions (there were restrictions on the coupon but they honored it for any color) and they did the same thing for the Pink Nation tank when they ran out, I got to pick any color regular pink tank. Score!!
Also, they did say that they send you coupons the more often you give them your email at checkout…so keep giving your email!! 🙂
I don’t have the credit card, but I also get the free panties in the mail. I asked the store about these once and they are from purchasing online or at the store and providing your phone number with your sale, gives them the opportunity to then send you a free panty. I get one every other month, even though I only shop there a couple times a year. 🙂 So make sure you give them your contact info when you check out.
I have had the card for about 5 years and in the beginning I used to get a lot of coupons for free undies, but it has probably been a year or more that it stopped. I still use the card but get no freebies at all. My sister doesn’t have a card but gets free underwear coupons monthly.
My hubby and I both have VS credit cards. This is one card we’ve hung on to for years, never cancelled because I NEVER pay for panties, nor will I EVER again! B/t the 2 cards, I think I get about 10-12 pairs a year, PLUS $10 gift cards on my b-day. It is definitely worth it. I think their bras are highly overpriced, and even $10 off isn’t a great deal, but I will buy panties. You can never have too many, right?

I don’t have a VS CC but I have made purchases online when deals have been crazy during the holidays. I have so many free pairs of panties from the coupons I get in the mail.
I just redeemed a coupon this week for a free pair of panties PLUS $10 off any purchase. I couldn’t believe it was true, I took it in sure enough….I got free panties and got a $12 fragrance and only paid $2.
So, you don’t need their card for the freebies but maybe my few purchases online is what triggers the coupons for me.
I have had the VS card for about 10 years now and believe it is completely worth it. If you pay it off every month it will not affect your credit score (which my score proves). 🙂 The benefits are the free panty coupons, birthday rewards and you earn points by making regular purchases that add up to give you a coupon for $10 off any purchase so I have gotten many free items using these coupons. You can also use the VS card at Bath and Body works as well to earn points. Definitely a good one to have!
don’t get the card, it’s not worth the offers and is just another open line deducting points on your credit even when you pay it off. I had it in the past and got rid of it. Most of the free panties were with a purchase on the card and there cheapest pairs too.
Paying off your credit cards on a monthly basis does not hurt your credit score.
I think she meant that store credit cards hurt your score because the limit on them is usually low.

I have the VS Angel card and received the packet of coupons when I signed up. Since then I have gotten nothing further – no mailed coupons, no gift on my birthday month. I’m thinking I should call and complain? All I do get are loads of catalogs that I flip through and immediately recycle. I don’t even want the catalogs!

I am a VS Angel Card holder! They DO send lots of coupons for panties! (and usually $10 off bras) Plus I have gotten $10 gift cards in the mail that they allow you to use with Angel Rewards ($20 off!) I got a pair of Pink boyfriend pj pants for $6 because I had those two cards and a mall gift card for $10, it was great! And they also send me a $10 gift card every year in the month of my birthday (the reason I signed up)! LOVE IT!! Totally worth it!
I do not have the credit card but I frequently get cards for free panties (at least 1x per month) plus additional free things through Pink Nation. I also just got a $10 card for my birthday. I don’t know HOW or WHY I get all these perks (but I am very happy!!!) but I definitely do not have the credit card.
I went to VS yesterday and got one of their new Naked Bras and a VS cotton panty for $0.24/ Here is what I did:
Naked Multiway $39.50
Panty $8.50 = $48.00
Used a free panty plus $10 off a bra coupon =$29.50
my bday rewards card ($10) = $19.50
angel reward card (from getting 250 points) = $9.50
Secret Reward Card (worth $10) = -$0.50
so with NC state tax I paid 24 CENTS!!!!! amazing! obviously all my stars aligned for this one. hope this gives other VS goers some ideas with stacking their coupons!

just wondering if anyone has had any luck trying to use more than one SRC when buying in store this month?
When I was there this past weekend, one lady was trying to use more than one and the cashier was adamant that she could only use one. So I doubt it.

I have this card and an Express CC…both just for the perks…I shop alot and I get gift cards all the time. At express I got 2 15 Dollar GC for my birthday….it was super exciting…I just pay off my balance each month…I sure it actually helps my credit…I use it alot…but have never paid more than what I would pay just by using cash!
I have a VSC Card too and LOVE it. At least every month they send me a coupon for a free pair of panties and $10 off a bra purchase. Sometimes they send me a coupon for free panties when you make a purchase too. When they do that I just use it to buy a gift card and then get the free panties. When I get enough gift cards racked up I’ll use it with the $10 off bra promotion. I’ve got tons of panties from this. Also, I’ve been a bra tester for VSC. They give me a bra to test and then they have me review it. I have no idea how I got that honor, but I do enjoy free bras too.

I have the VSCC and I get about 10 free undies a year, My husband does not have the card and he gets the same coupons I get so I really get a lot of undies, so many; I give them to my daughter as Christmas and B’day gifts. You can also use your CC in Bath and Body Works stores (maybe even White Barn, I’m just not sure so don’t take my word on it). This really helps me grow to my $250 for my reward. When BBW has their hand soap on sale I call my friends because they use it too and purchase all their soap for them on my CC and I get the benefit and they don’t have to shop and I of course get paid back from them.
How do your ladies get coupons in your husbands name? Do you sign them up to get catalogs?
