I love that you are highlighting the extra great deals, but red might be a bit harsh for some people’s eyes. I don’t think its a bad shade of red though 😉

  3. Julie

I like that you highlighted key ones 🙂

  4. JoR

many, many thanks. you are awesome!
    THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Annmarie

I love that you are highlighting the extra great deals in red. Thanks Collin.

  6. valerie

I could not find a rimmel coupon in my april all you magazine, i dont understand why is it a regional thing?

    • Kari

It was in mine..I get the subscription. I have heard there are different coupons in the ones you buy at the store. Did you get the subscription or did you buy it at Walmart?

    • Kari

It was on page 20 of mine…..

      • Shannon

Thanks for the tip! I couldn’t find it in the table of contents, but it is on pg. 20 of mine. I get the subscription.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I bought the April All You Mag specifically for this coupon and it isn’t in there 🙁 Page 20 is just a full size rimmel ad no coupon.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

thanks for the page number!! I couldn’t find it either- it’s in the subscribtion one and NOT the one from Walmart- that’s crazy that they offer different coupons?!?

  7. Katherine

Can you have more than one green bag tag tied to your account now? I had thought you couldn’t but have things changed with that? Anyone know?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You can have as many green tags as you want. But, the use is still a 1 limit per day. All the green tags have the same code on them.

      • Sharon B

So if all the green tags have the same code numbers on them, how will it know that you have already used it? Or is it strictly an honor-code thing? Is that something that is looked down on if I had to come back later and went to the pharmacy and used it? Or had the hubby stop there and use it? Just asking…..don’t yell at me if it seems like I’m trying to cheat because I’m not. Thanks for the reply. Also, is there a way that I can get my replies to automatically come to my email? I sometimes forget where I post questions LOL!!

        • Sarah

I think the system keeps track using your Extra Care Bucks card. So it will only let you get credited once per day. If you look at your receipt it will show how many times you’ve used the green bag tag and how many times until you get $1 ECB.

          • Donna

Actually on the green tag deal……..I went to two CVS stores in one day. So used to using the tag it is 2nd hand to do…….they scanned it at both stores, and it gave me credit on both for that day. So it is one store per day???? Don’t know, but it does add to your account. Saying this for you info. only………don’t get upset with me 🙂 Just saying that is how it does work……..I think they say that, so like many of us that divide our orders up to be able to use ECB on 2nd order wouldn’t rack up the 4 times usage in one outing……my own opinion there…….

        • Donna

Don’t know why that printed so big LOL

          • Michelle M

The green bag tag is once per STORE per day on your card. So yes, if you shop at different stores, you can scan it at each store. If you try twice at just one store, the register won’t accept it the second time.

        • Sarah O

If you scan it multiple times in one day it will still credit according to the boards. However, it does state clearly on the tag limit one use per day. So I guess you could say it is an “honor-code” type thing 🙂

  8. Lisa

love the red, it really draws you to it…….thanks for all your hard work, I had a cashier at walgreens friday make a comment on my great deals I got and I gave her your site.

  9. Kenzi

I’m still trying to get the hang of CVS and walgreens shopping and have a question I’m hoping someone can answer for me :). I know at Walgreens you can’t use both a RR coupon and a manufacturer coupon on one item. You will need a cheap filler item as well. Is that not the case with CVS? If I want to purchase one item can I use both a manufacturer coupon and ECB coupon? Thanks for the help!!

    • Kari

You are right. At Walgreens you would need a filler item, but not at CVS. You can also use as many ECB’s as you want as long as you are within your total.

      • Julie S.

I read that they have a system limit to 6 coupons per item (1 manu and 5 store/EB).

  10. Tiphanie

I don’t ever shop at CVS or Walgreens because the prices always seem higher say than at target or walmart. But wow look at all these great deals. I’m amazed and really thinking i need to jump on this wagon! For some reason i am scared of these stores. lol I need toothpaste and .38 is an awesome deal. I need to go!

    • Erin

I was the same way. I spent so much at Target in the past getting what I thought were pretty decent deals and avoiding overpriced drug stores. But now I love shopping CVS and Rite Aid. The only drawback is that you tend to have to buy a lot of stuff you don’t need or want and use some sophisticated scenarios and coupons that you may or may not have. In reality, I do think that minimalists (with small families!) could get by pretty well just by pairing coupons and sales at Target, Walmart, and/or their grocery store. I save a lot, but I also buy a lot of non-necessities that I never would have purchased if they weren’t free (e.g., body wash, shave cream, processed foods). If you love the thrill of the deal, though, drug stores are for you!

    • Krystal

A very common misconception. Yes, regular retail prices at the stores are usually a little higher than Target or Walmart, but once you get the coupons going and find the right sales, plus with your 2% back that CVS gives you…it’s a much better deal a lot of times.

      • Julie S.

I never seem to be getting the 2% back, because I try to keep my out-of-pocket expenses low and try to keep rolling the EBs.

    • jennifer

Girl, once you get into CVS or Walgreens you won’t even pay $0.38 for toothpaste any more…. I have so much that I have gotten for FREE that I skip over anything I actually have to pay for LOL!

  11. robyn

for the oral-b toothbrushes. wouldnt you use the $2/1 coupon from 4/4 PG. i dont have a $1/1. and therefore it would be $.50 a piece. right??

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Isn’t the rimmel coup;on for walmart only?

    • Shannon

Manufacturer’s coupons are accepted everywhere. They put “purchase at Walmart” so that you will subconsiously think you HAVE to go there. The only way this wouldn’t be accepted is if you have an uninformed cashier. Good luck!

      • Shannon

I used the Rimmel coupon at CVS this morning with no trouble!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have contacted CVS corporate about the target manufacturer coupons, and they said it was there policy to not accept it because its attached to target and they won’t get reembursed. So, your mileage may vary.

    • Anonymous

      that’s what mine says.

  13. Elaine

Thanks for all you do Collin. The highlighted deals are awesome.

  14. Jessica W.

I love the highlighting your favorite deals idea!! I’ve been hoping you would do something like this – I love to see which deals YOU will be picking up each week. Thanks!! =)

  15. Marci

CVS has NYC makeup B1G1. In the April All You magazine there is a $5 off $10 worth of NYC products coupon. I went to one CVS the other day and they didn’t have any NYC makeup, but if your CVS carries NYC it might get you some free makeup. I am going to look at other CVS stores in my area because I was hoping for some free nail polish!

    • Jodi

In my store, it’s on a beauty endcap and not on the makeup wall.

  16. Sheila

Also, if you have already received your P&G coupon books from the $50 rebate we did, there are $5 Olay coupons in there!! After rebate you may be lookin at a moneymaker!!

    • Sue L

I have not received my P&G coupon book yet. 🙁

  17. Renee

Rimmell make up is BOGO and there is a BOGO coupon from the all you mag. Dont’ remember what month it can it but it dosen’t exp till 4/30.

    • Renee

oops not can in, meant to say came in

  18. Kris

Could I just clarify a question i have?????, i’m pretty new to CVS. The ECB are print outs good on your next purchase, I got that, But what is this about Earning 2% back when you used your little red card– it was at the bottom of my reciept, I looked in Collin’s info under CVS but didn’t see anything. My recipiet says i have a “BALANCE of $11.45 or something”. Does that just mean i saved $11.45 by using my card or does it mean i have a check coming or something. CUZ that would be GREAT! Thanks!!!

    • Marci

I’m pretty sure that the balance you are talking about is Spring 2010 spending. You will get 2% of that balance at the end of the quarter (July 1st).

    • Jennifer

I wonder that, too… I just finished the first quarter of 2010 and have no knowledge of getting 2% back anywhere. I don’t get it.

      • Jennifer

aaaahhhh… just read Collin’s store guide (how organized is this woman!?!?!) and I think I got $1 ecb that I thought was on something I purchased, but it must have been my 2% back.

      • Marci

You get your 2% ECB back from the coupon scanner in the store. If your store doesn’t have a coupon scanner, I’m guessing that it comes on the receipt. I’m lucky because I just got this card (a month and a half ago) and apparently the CVS employees were using this card to give people deals. So it said that I spent $175 for the quarter (which I didn’t) and I received $3.50 ECB 😉

        • Julie S.

Marci you are one lucky person.
I never seem to be getting the 2% back, because I try to keep my out-of-pocket expenses low and try to keep rolling the EBs.

          • Erin

Yeah, I never get anything back, either. My OOP is always just a few cents because I’ve been rolling my ECBs for a year now. Yesterday, I bought more than $40 worth of stuff. After coupons, I spent $20 and paid about eighty cents in cash, plus got $18 back in ECBs. I guess that 2 percent doesn’t apply to items purchased with mfg coupons (not ECBs)? I can understand not giving 2 percent back on ECBs, but I thought regular old mfg coupons were a form of payment. . . .

  19. Bethany

love it the idea is brilliant!

  20. ringkang

anyone else having problems with the thermacare coupon? i can’t print it.

    • Marci

I couldn’t print it either, it kept timing out. I’ll just try again later.

      • Marci

Good thing you have a link or else I would have gone crazy. I looked up at the post and it said “Marci” and I have had the same issue and was worried that I wrote something I didn’t remember. For so long I’ve been the only Marci, especially with an “i” so it is weird to see another Marci. But yes, I’ve had the same problem with the Thermacare coupons so I gave up on trying to print them.

        • Lydia

I too had the same problem. I tried printing it earlier this afternoon and now. Can’t print it, oh well. Thanks Collin for all the awesome deals that are highlighted!! 🙂

          • Kelly

Glad to know I’m not the only one having problems with this coupon. Too bad!

    • Sarah O

I tried printing it a few days ago and then again this afternoon and it is doing the same thing. It may be dead 🙁

      • bfam

I called Customer Service for Wyeth and told them about the problem printing the coupon. They said it must be my pop up blocker or something (I had already turned that off, so I knew that wasn’t the issue!), but they took my address and said they will mail me the coupon. Not sure if i will get here in time for the deal this week, but worth a shot.

        • bfam

Just got the coupon they promised to send me in the mail. $3 off instead of the $1 off that wouldn’t print. So, money maker!!!

    • Shelly T.

same for me, it does not print.

  21. Krystal

Also to those of you that live near a CVS or frequently stop in. A lot of times on Saturday evenings the sales for the next week are already activated and will give you the sales (unless there was a current sale on it in which case that one takes effect first). I imagine 24 hour stores don’t do this because they have the staff to put up the sale signs during the night, but regular stores usually (at least the ones I’ve been to) usually activate the sale around 5pm, some sooner, some later. Good thing about this is that if you know something is going to sell out quickly you can try to get there ahead of time and grab it before the ad actually comes out.

    • Sarah O

It depends on when the manager activates the next weeks sales. You can call your store and ask. The only store near me that activates them early anymore is actually a 24 hour store. My other store used to always activate early but when they changed managers they stopped activating early.

    • Marci

Thanks for the tip! I just went and scored on some deals! It’s actually really nice to go at night when no one is in the store!

  22. Denise

Does anyone have trouble accessing Kellogs coupons? Everytime I want to print out a Kellogs coupon from a link It never happens. Frustrating, any tips I’m open to them.
    Thanks,
    Denise

P.S. Collin this site is such a blessing and the highlighted items is a great addition!

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    LOVE the highlights!!!

  24. Elizabeth

Anyone know what zip code to use for the Listerine coupon? I don’t see it.

  25. E

Is the B1G1 Special K coupon dead? I signed up but see nothing about a coupon.

  26. Heather

Does anyone know a zip code for the Nature’s Bounty? I’m not seeing it. THanks!

  27. Kim

Just an FYI – I went to CVS today and when I scanned my card I got two coupons: $1 off CVS skin care and $1 off CVS paper product. I went to the travel section and got some hand lotion and a couple travel tissue packs and didn’t have to pay a thing! Love those little unexpected extras.

  28. Donna

I have a question for you………is anyone having issues of printing the Olay rebate?

  29. Donna

oop sent before done……..meant to add……..even went directly to olay.com and it won’t come up. Is their site down?

  30. Debbie

Love the red highlights! Thank you!

  31. Lacey

Did the Olay deal tonight spend $24.99 get $10 EBs. The cleanser did not count towards the EB deal. It was on sale for $8.99. The Total Effects cleansers are not excluded, so they manually printed my EBs. Do be sure and check your receipt before you leave the store. Also, the Colgate Total may be a limit of more than 1 based on my receipt.

    • Donna

Thinking I might call my store on this one to see if they will honor it. My daughter wants to do this deal with just buying the one moisturizer, and facial wash, and not have to do the full deal as Collin put it, but I saw that there was no sign on the cleansers. Sometimes I get peeved at CVS for doing that where you are .01c off from the ECB so you have to put out more cash to get it 🙂 🙂
I did the deal today, as Collin said above with no issues……..PLUS I got a BONUS off the Kios of a $5.00 off spending $40.00 or more:) SO mine will end up costing me .98c after my ECB and rebate……quarter per item WHOO HOO 🙂

  32. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

dove deal there is a 3/2 coupon makes them 24 cents each

  33. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Kinda new to cvs shopping…..can you purchase the hydro razor again (and get the $6 ecbs) if you got it last week?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Is this a monthly deal? I don’t know how to find out what their monthly deals are.

      • Marci

If you have already purchased the Schick Hdyro look at the bottom of your receipt and it should tell you if the limit has reached. I think I read somewhere that the limit was 2, but I’m not sure.

    • Krystal

Check the bottom of your receipt and see if it says “Offer limit reached” next to the item, if not, then you should be able to buy another.

  34. Patti

Hey everyone!!! Can someone help me with the Chocolate Lovers post Colin posted on for CVS. I’m not understanding the whole thing. In the CVS ad it says buy 2 get 1 free. The coupon is for buy 1 get 1 free. Colin says to buy 18. Can someone explain to me how these two coupons work together? I get mixed up with these kinds and end up spending more. My daughter is having a small birthday party and would like to use these in her gift bags. Which I think is a great idea seeing how teens (most) love chocolate too. Thanks in advance for your time….

    • KellyJ

U can use a buy1 get 1 free coupon on the buy 2 get 1 free. So its like u are buying one and getting 2 for free.. but as stated in the post u have to have – 9 – b1g1 free coupons… then the Extra care bucks u get back is printed on the reciept and u can use that like cash next time u go to the store.

      • Collette

So maybe I am just not getting this or I am just really bad at math…but how is Collin getting $2.67 for the out of pocket on the “chocolate lovers” deal scenario? I understand that you are really only going to be paying for 6 candy bars after the coupons and the in-store promotion, but 6 candy bars at $.89 each is still $5.34…how is she cutting THAT figure in half to get the $2.67?

        • Julie S.

If you buy 18 bars, you get 6 free from the store B2G1 sale and 9 free with the BOGO coupons, so you pay for the remaining 3.

  35. Melissa

Love the red Collin, thank you!

  36. KellyJ

I like that u are shading The deals. Although I personally would like to see the Free or moneymakers only in red. But either way. I look at all the deals anyhoo… Oh on a side note. I got 3 Smartsource inserts in my newspaper today… can u say score!!! Thanks for all u do Collin u rock.

    • Jodi

Great idea about the Free and MMs only in red!

    • fairydust

I agree – seeing the Free and MM deals in a different color would be great!!!! I usually don’t bother with the other deals unless it’s something I really really need. But free or mm is always good 😉

  37. Mom2five

    Have never shopped at CVS..
Do they have better deals than walgreens?
Where can I sign up for their extra care card?
Will they mail it or give it to me right away?
How soon can I use it?
Do they let u stack manufacturer and cvs coupons?

    • Krystal

I don’t shop at Walgreens as there isn’t one close enough to my house to constitute my going to one. You can sign up for a card online on their website or in store. If you do it online it will take a few weeks to receive, if you do it in store they will give you one instantly but it will not have your information attached to it for a month or two. The good thing about having your info linked to it are the coupons they will mail/email you. You can use it as soon as you get it. And you can use a manu coupon with a CVS coupon and will not need a filler (unlike Walgreens). You can use as many Extrabucks as you want, you can use 10 of them on 1 item if you like. I am a very loyal CVS shopper. 🙂

      • Mom2five

If I go to CVS tommorrow to sign up for the card…can I get the pampers deal? Or will I have to wait? I found a $3.00 off pampers in the parents mag. And I still have the $2 coupon that expires 4/30.
Thanks for your quick response! 🙂

        • Mom2five

Oh yeah…will I get extra care bucks right away with my first use of the card on my first visit?
          Hope I make sense!

          • Collette

YES–sign up in-store and all the deals and promo’s will apply right away. I also just called customer service at the 800 number when i got home the day I signed up for the card, and a rep put in all my info so that I could get the emails and coupons the next time I went in. The first time you use the card at the scanner machine it may not give you any coupons unless you have made a purchase using your rewards card…at least it didn’t for me until it had some “info” on my purchases…Go get some sweet diaper deals!

  38. Marci

I just found a $1 off Rimmel coupon on Redplum. Print out 2 of those (if you didn’t get the Rimmel coupon in the All You) and you could be paying as less as $3 for $10 worth of products (Collin has $5 each in her scenario).

  39. mom2five

    Thanks Collette! 🙂
    Another question! Ha!
Does it print out the ECB at the register (like at Walgreens) or does it store them on your card?

    • Julie S.

They print out at the bottom of your receipt… at least they should (I’ve never had a problem).

  40. Maureen

Does anyone know the limit on the hersheys movie ticket promo – is it one per household? I can’t find it anywhere.

  41. What?

Does anyone have a zip code for the listerine Q? I go to the redplum site but don’t see it…I have tried two different zips that are literally across the country from each other but still don’t see it? Anyone have any luck? Help greatly appreciated!

    • Elizabeth

I can’t find it and I’ve tried 5 different zip codes (CA, OH, GA, NY, & NC)

  42. Diane L.

Did anyone find the Halle products for $4.99? One of the cashiers at my CVS was helping me look, and the cheapest product we could find was $19.99.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I had the same problem but I ended up finding a treasury of items on clearance that I needed/wanted for Mom’s day and graduation.

    • Lacey

I did! It is not the travel ones hanging either…they are like $12.99. This one was where they had the display and there was only 1, so each store may only get 1 or 2 of these small sizes/cheap ones.

      • Erin

How are they packaged? I have the .17 oz. Halle with the tiny little bottle sitting on top of a square box (for gifting, I guess?), and the whole thing is packaged together and can be hung (although mine was sitting on a shelf). The ISBN is 3607346019917 and it was $12.99.

        • Lacey

it has a cardboard sort of backing and the the popped out plastic around the actual perfume container. The container reminds me of a tube of Burt’s Beeswax chapstick. That is the best way to describe it. They may not have even put them out at your store.

  43. Stephanie

Those of you heading to CVS today might want to check the clearance section. My CVS had all of the Venus and Breeze razors and catridges refills clearance priced from $2-3. I was able to score them even cheaper with coupons. The associate at my store said they were no longer selling the particular items so they had to get rid of them.

  44. mom2five

Went to CVS today for the 1st time! What I first noticed..and I don’t know how your stores look, but mine was kinda run-down and rather small. Also noticed that a jumbo pack of diapers (usually 9.99 at most stores) was $11.99! :0 I ended up getting the pampers (64ct) deal, Colgate Clinical, and a soda for $22 and change. Got $5 ECB for the Pampers and a $2 ECB for the Colgate. Don’t think I’ll go back that often unless I can stack some more coupons or see a great deal. I’ll probably take the $7 ECB and a coupon and buy cheap diapers.

Can u use 2 ECB’s on 1 purchase for the same thing? Ex. 1 pack of jumbo diapers?

  45. Donna

HEADS UP GIRLS 🙂 REMEMBER THOSE 4.00 off METHOD LAUNDRY DET. coupons we printed a long while back????????? Don’t forget to use them this week!!!!!!! 1.99 for 25 loads of laundry. It isnt as good as the free Purex or free All, but these Qs expire on the 30th, so thinking I played my gamble on them pretty well.If you have 4Qs of these like I had add a couple more coupons that have 1.00 off CVS paper good etc to bring your order up to or over 25.00. and if you have $5.00 off a $25 dollar order etc… you can get 4 of these for $3.00 🙂 NOW that is a good deal 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I found the fragrance free Method Laundry Soap on clearance at Lowes for $3.14. I used coupons for $2 off so it ended up being a great deal.

  46. Elaine

Thanks for the tip Collin. here’s how I ran the Olay scenario. I bought 2 Olay moisturizers for $39.98 and two Olay body wash $9.49 so 18.58. Used the bogo coupons to get the body washes for free, used the 2 $1off coupons for moist. I then bought 8 cans of the .49 cent tuna and the green bag tag. Total before cpns 68.17. I used 7.50 in ECB’s and 18.97 on a gift card. My out of pocket was 14.61 will submit for the $20 rebate and make 5.39 on my transaction. Not to mention I got 10.99 more in ECB’s. I’d say that was a GREAT day at CVS.

    • Elaine

I forgot I had one of the $5 off of $30 coupons for the above scenario.

      • Maraissa

isn’t the rebate only for facial care? Is there a different rebate, b/c I would like the body washes instead

        • Elaine

You are so right. They were out of all the facial washes so I was improvising so I guess I messed up. Oh well I have some free body washes and will look for a good deal on some facial cleansers to finish the deal. It still won’t be too bad with some good coupons and a sale. Bummer. Thanks for letting me know.

          • Lacey

Ladies, I actually called the rebate 800# last week to double-check that the Total Effects bodywash isn’t included. I gave the lady both of the barcodes for the 2 different ones. They are not included. I thought I would try.

  47. Liane Weber

    Love the highlighting!

  48. Amy

I did the Olay deal this afternoon. Here’s the deal that Collin made:

    2 Olay Total Effects Moisturizers $18.99 each = $37.98
2 Olay Total Effects Revitalizing Foaming Facial Cleansers $9.99 each = $19.98
    Total = $57.96
Less $5 (coupon printed at when I scanned my card) = 52.96
Less 2 Buy 1 Total Effects Facial Moisturizer, Get 1 Total Effects Facial Cleanser FREE
    = 32.98
Less 2 $1 off coupon for the Moisturizer
    = 30.98
    Less $10 Extra Buck
    = 20.98
    Less $20 Rebate
= 98 cents for all four products…. Woohooo!!!

    Thanks, Collin!
