"Follow You Monday" Meijer Shopping!
Alright, so as most of you know, I was in Lafayette, Indiana over the weekend and had a blast! My “Follow You Monday” giveaway winner was an awesome reader of mine named Michelle! She was a fantastic sport throughout the filming process which took quite a while! Plus, she put up with me and my crazy family… and that says a lot! 😉 Thanks so much, Michelle!

I wish I had an Meijer store near me
The first Meijer ever was started in Greenville, MI where I am from. I LOVE Meijer and go there weekly if not more when I see more deals! I have 4 by me in a 10 mile radius! I do think they keep expanding to new states so keep your eyes on the look out!

Meijer rocks! This is where one-stop- shop was born. Now you see Target, Walmart do their wanna-be supercenters. But Meijer was the first folks!.
It woulda been cool to see her use the limitless self check and do her own coupons. No doubling in west MI though.
i live in chicago now but grew up in lowell!!!
I know this no-doubling sucks! lol. I guess they do over in Detroit/Macomb area though.
WHile we are at it, dont foget El Mador chips! Mmmmn good and made right here in Grand Rapids, MI!
The Garden Fresh Chips are on sale this week as a BOGO deal and they too along with the salsa are made here in Ferndale MI!! A portion of these products go towards benifiting the Children’s Hospital of MI in Detroit.
Either way, both of these chips are yummmmmy!!!

I’m so jelous of you publix and now miejers store shoppers! I don’t have either. Collin you have to pick me for the next one. I need help shopping at FRYS!!!!! I always spend over a hundred.
All I have to say is Meijer Rocks! I LOVE Meijer as well.
Although I will say I was in Meijer last week, not my normal/favorite one, and they had their whole chickens marked 20% off and in the past they used to mark down to 40% off on the last day, so I asked if they would be interested in marking them down to 40% off since they had to sell 20-30 by the end of the day and they said NO. I was hoping to take them to one of the shelters/soup kitchens instead of the meat being thrown in the trash.

What does it mean to double coupons??? Anytime you use a coupon it doubles??? Sorry, not understanding the double. I don’t think any stores around me do that.
for doubling coupons
a $.50 coupon ‘doubles’ to $1
a $.20 ‘doubles’ to $.40
and so on and so forth……
at my store you can only double 5 per $25 order. So it is very store specific.
So it just automatically happens! Thanks! I may have to go to Meijers.
Here in Ca we have 2 stores that double coupons up to a dollar. If I give them a coupon for .75 they give me an .25. If I give them a .35 coupon they give me an extra .35. the maximum amount that a coupon can get doubled to is 1.00
What stores do you have in CA that double? I’m in CA and I don’t know of any in my area.
I live in southern CA in my area we have Ralphs and Vons that double coupons though they don’t always double coupons like they did before it’s only a couple times a year and now Albertson’s has started to double but only with an in-ad double coupon that you need to use with your manufacture coupon.
Yes. Anytime you use a coupon it automatically doubles. Different stores vary in their amounts and in the video, this Meijer doubled any mfg Q $.50 or less. Publix & Kroger also double. Double check with your manager to confirm amounts and such.

Me, too. I am in the Portland, Oregon area and no CVS, Mejier, Publix! The nearest Walmart is about an hour for me 🙁
I shop Rite Aid and Walgreens and Target.
For groceries I shop Albertsons they usually double only 3 coupons up to $1 (meaning a $1 coupon would double to $2) or Safeway and sometimes Fred Meyer but they have no coupon doubles at all.
I am also in Portland and Safeway will have 4 doubles in the ad and the 10$ off 50$ before manufacture coupons in the food days sometimes.

That’s awesome! My Meijer actually doubles up to .99 cents! Its sweeeeeeeeet! Only problem is they only double 2 like coupons per transaction but there is no limit on how many coupons you can use. Meijer rocks! I love how you knocked off a tag when you were talking about the stayfree and didnt skip a beat… you probably didnt notice but it made you look like a news anchor lady or something hehe

It’s so nice when you actually enjoy doing the couponing and saving and it’s not a chore but more of a hobby! I also look forward to making my list and going shopping. Some people think I’m crazy!

I love Kroger and mine triples coupons up to .50!!!
I was thinkin the same thing. My Kroger in Flint ,Mi doubles a dollar meaning all $1 coupons =$2 its awesome my meijer also doubles $.50 its great!!! If she had fun at meijer though she would absolutely love Kroger!!!
Oh and I almost forgot our VGS now doubles $1=$2 now also. a little more expensive grocery store but sometimes you can find a great deal!!!

Totally awesome. I use to live in Michigan and we had Meijer. I just moved to NC a couple months ago and so so so sad there is no Meijer here. I am actually going to “home” in a couple of weeks and am planning on shopping at Meijer cause I miss it so much. haha
Way to go on your shopping trip I hope one day to do that good I have never had a trip that well one day maybe.
Hahahaa can totally relate! I was living down in FL for ahwile and missed Meijer like crazy! Had to drive all around to multiple stores do get everything! Uuuugh! Unlike Meijer!!

Okay, now I’m just mad. Lol. We don’t have any of these good stores around here. We have Fred Meyer (no doubles at all) and Safeway (four doubles per transaction) and Alberston’s (four doubles per transaction). These per transaction stores also always treat you like a criminal if you split it up into separate transactions. This has made it to terrible, I only ever do two transactions at once, and have to go through the line 5 times. Just make it easy people, only like 1% of coupons are ever redeemed, you’re not going to lose the farm!!!
Here in South Florida…we have NO stores that double…we do have Publix but NO doubles…so we all should just count our blessings for what we Do have. Right. 🙂

Great job ladies! You’re videos are always so much fun to watch. Our local grocery stores here double up to $.99, only one will accept IP q’s as long as it’s not for a free item, but IP BOGO’s are ok plus they always have awesome Catalina deals.
I love the free cheese! Wish we’d have promotions like that here. I do my best, but it can be a struggle to coupon at Vons in CA. Thankfully, I have made friends with a couple of really nice checkers, and they make it easier for me. 🙂 Seriously, as a tip for everyone: make friends with some checkers (and if you can, the supervisors!) Smiles and honestly caring about their lives can make YOUR life so much easier. Last week I had a run in with a difficult checker – he was new and didn’t know anything about coupons, and then to make matters worse the catalina didn’t print like it should have. It was so frustrating until my favorite supervisor showed up and fixed everything. She was so nice about it, too, even thought it cut into her lunch break!

Meijer is my favorite grocery store. We double all coupons $.99 and below and there is no limit on how many of like coupons you can double. I find the cashiers at my store are also very coupon friendly and I have yet to have a problem with them accepting any coupon.

Hey Collin, are you calling me anal? I hand over my coupons one at a time so they don’t miss any…it saves me from having to go to customer service to claim something they missed, plus the Internet printables tend to stick together.
I’m just kidding. You know by now that I am anal, with all the records I keep.
We have ShopRite that doubles coupons only up to $1.00, so a $.75 coupon, will take off $1.00.
Acme and Wegmans will double a $.99 coupon, but you never see those. A $.75 coupon will take off $1.50.

From what I hear, there are ShopRites that will take off $1.50 for a $.75 coupon, but unfortunately my ShopRite stores don’t…maybe some day! I’m in Mt.Laurel, N.J.

Ok but what about us small towners????? I LOVE the saving….but wish that I could get ’em too!! I live 70 Miles from a DILLONS!! and 30 miles froma small town store …. well our dillons is a small town store to …but a tiny town store is thirty miles away!! Love your shoppin!
You should make a trip down to the MS Gulf Coast. We don’t have any stores that double down here, we don’t have any stores that do good clearance (most of the stores down here do not do clearance at all), the prices down here are higher than in most other places in the country, AND, our newspapers don’t get half the coupons any place else does. I’d love to see somebody give some hints and show how to work the stores around HERE!
i so wish i had this store. we on the west coast need some of these awesome stores. I think fred meyers probably has some good deals like this, but I never shop there for some reason.
