Target: Olay Facial Care Moneymaker!
The deals at Target just keep rolling out! As you probably noticed by checking out the Target weekly deals, there are lots and lots of sweet deals to be had! One deal that I mentioned in the weekly deals is valid on Olay products– Buy 2 select Olay products = $5 Target gift card! Well, this deal is really awesome because there are so many participating products available, including a $2.99 and $3.69 product. Here are a couple deal scenarios…
Buy 2 Olay Foaming Face Wash Sensitive Skin 6.76 oz $3.69 each
Total = $7.38
Use 2 $2/1 Any Olay Facial Cleanser or Complete Facial Moisturizer coupon from the 5/2 PG (EXP 5/31!)
(there is also a $1/1 coupon in the 5/16 SS that doesn’t expire until 6/30)
Pay $3.38
Get back a $5 Target gift card
Final cost both items FREE + a $1.62 moneymaker!
Buy 2 Olay Refreshing Toner $2.99 each
Total = $5.98
Use 2 $2/1 Any Olay Facial Cleanser or Complete Facial Moisturizer coupon from the 5/2 PG (EXP 5/31!)
(there is also a $1/1 coupon in the 5/16 SS that doesn’t expire until 6/30)
Pay $1.98
Get back a $5 Target gift card
Final cost FREE + a $3.02 moneymaker!!
*Even without any coupons, you can score both items for just $0.98 after the $5 gift card!
**And don’t forget about the Olay facial care rebate— purchase $50 worth of Olay facial care products (before coupons) and get back a $20 rebate! If you have enough $2/1 Olay coupons from the 5/2 PG, you could turn this into a huge moneymaker after the $20 rebate. Keep in mind that the $2/1 coupon does expire 5/31, so you ONLY have thru tomorrow to make use of this deal!
(Thanks so much for the picture and deal scenarios, Totally Target!)
How long is the gift card deal for? Until Saturday, or longer? I wonder if I will have time to order coupons…
how many times would you have to do that to submit for olay rebate?
If you did the foaming face washes, 7 transactions.
If you did the toners, 9 transactions.
I liked publix’s deal better … lol free plus overage and then sumit a 20.00 rebate…. lets just say thats my kind of deal…. making money is the greatest joy to couponing lol
The rebate form says that purchases have to be made by JUNE 30…. is that correct??
Correct, Jennifer.
Wow Collin, you didn’t stop today, did you? I hope you take a break tomorrow for Memorial Day…my best and my thanks to hubby 🙂
Got the Target Oil of Olay deal and made $25.00 and $10.00 in other gift card deals.Spent $19.29.
Even better, if you have the P&G Year of Savings book – there’s q’s in there for $5 off any Regenerist cleanser or moisturizer. My Target has the Regenerist face wash for $5.99. $1.98 for both washes after q’s and $5 GC back. Too bad I can’t do it again…
Plan on going to Target in the morning… I have the $2/1, the $1/1, and the $5/1 coupons still! Just one quick question – do I have to do these transactions individually so that I can get the Target gift card for each 2 that I but or can I do them all together and still get the numerous gift cards? Thanks for the help!
No, you don’t have to do seperate transactions. When you purchase the qualifying items, the cashier is prompted to give you the gift cards.
I think you would be able to get more than one gift card per transaction ( I have on other deals) however if you do them in seperate trans. you can use the gift card you just got to pay on the next transaction and will have less out of pocket at the time.
good idea!
YOU WILL HAVE NONE OUT OF POCKET WITH RIGHT COUPONS!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was a great idea! I purchased enough to finish the Olay MIR I started at Rite Aid, then I did another complete $50. Now I will be getting one rebate for myself and one for my sister. She always makes out! The best part is I paid less than $2 oop on my first transaction (no $5 coupons here…) and I came away with a few $5 Target GCs! They paid me to take it! Yeah!! And yes, I do know enough people who will love to get my freebies. The products will not be sitting in a dark corner waiting to expire. And yes, I left dozens of bottles on the shelf for other shoppers. 🙂
Thanks again for the idea!
What do we do on the rebate form if we buy more than 8 products? There are only enough spaces for 8 upc’s.
you can just write it right underneith or in the vacinity…just so they can see it!! i had to do it a few times before!!! 🙂
Thanks!
i love this im soooo happy you posted this!!!! i have a stack of olay coupons!!! i got 8 $5 off olay regenerest!!!! i got about 15 $1 offs and only 5 $2 off!!!! they have some pro-x $5 off coupons in specilly marked tampax… i dont know the deals on pro-x …
does nyone know how much the total effects facial moisturizer is? i could get a free body wash and $3 off of it!!!!
i just cant wait to go tomorrow!!!!!!!
i wanna know the prices on everything lol!!!!!!!
Couldn’t you use the BOGO free cleaners that were offered in Parade, the Sunday newspaper magazine, that were offered a few weeks ago to make this a better deal?
Which parade?? I need to go look through my parades..wish I didn’t toss most of them.
May 23rd edition
Off the subject but if anyone printed the Bengay $5.00 coupon for the new pain relief and massage they are on sale at Walgreens for $4.99 (free)
I noticed that today too! I didn’t have my coupon with me though.
Anyone know the price of the cheapest moisturizer? I really don’t need any more face wash, DH says I have so much variety of health/beauty supplies, I can open my own drug store LOL!
I really could use the facial lotion though.
Tawanda – The coupon I got in my parade magazine was for a Free Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Bodywash wyb any Total Effects Moisturizer. What are the other BOGO coupon details? I’ll have to try to hunt them down. I didn’t see any other parade magazine coupons listed in the HCW database???
At my Target today the cheapest moisturizer was $6.49 so if you use 2 $2/1 coupons, you would pay $3.98 for both (after receiving the $5 gift card). hth
Worked like a charm in Charlotte, NC. Love all this free face wash!
I went to Target today and they refused to let me do the transaction! The coupons mentioned in this deal beeped with the products HTS suggested and the cashier, assistant manager, and manager told me I could only use ONLY one coupon per transaction not the 5 which is what I had. I tried to call corporate–went through about 5 different menus only to be told to call back tomorrow. It was humiliating. I should of waited to see if anyone else had done this deal (and checked the website) but I didn’t. It is nice to have that information to see if the deal works.
The “children” who are managers and assistant managers are so impolite. I asked the assistant manager if she had a copy of the Target coupon policy and she said no. I said the policy does not say ONLY one coupon per product per purchase PER TRANSACTION!!!! They are so silly and frustrating sometimes. The bad part is all the coupons expire today!
Go later when new staff is there. I had no problem using alot of the $2.00 coupons. It beeped but the cashier knew I bought the itmes and pushed it through.
I am in Cleveland, TN and I didnt have a problem using 2 $5 off coupons in 1 transaction. but I couldnt use the $1 off a facial cleanser or moisturizer for the toner that was 2.99 so I had to bump up to the basic face wash that was 3.69 but it was still a great deal.
I tried to call the local Target to get an email address to email the corporate about how this Target is interpreting the coupon policy but could not find one. I searched the Target website but did not find one. In the conversation, they told me that they refused another customer the same deal today so I doubt I can go back and try again. The store does not keep a copy of the coupon policy and does not know how to find an email address for the “guest relations” and the store told me I could not talk to anyone until Thursday as there guest relations executive will not be back until then. I was going to email the corporate or Target office but I cannot find the email address online. This is usually why I do not pursue complaints/concerns is because it takes so much time and energy. It was really humiliating and yes I was polite just persistent but it is a holiday and time is running out since coupon is expiring. I will just give up. Not worth my dignity.
I just got back from doing this deal and the $2.00 coupons did beep but the cashier (young male) just pushed it through. I know I bought the right items (facial cleansers) so I’m not sure why the coupons beeped. Anyway, the deal worked just as posted (other than the beeps).
I am glad for you! maybe another deal will come along for others that Target will honor.
The coupons all beeped for me, I got the toners and cleansers and everything beeped! I know when I used to work at Target it seemed that some coupons beeped for no reason (I matched the item to the coupon), so that is probably the case here. I had a nice cashier who put all the coupons through. Sorry you had such a hassle! I know that is so frustrating!
I bough the toners and tried to buy the cleansers too, but the coupons beeped as well. The 1st transaction the coupone beeped for the toners, but it was such a good deal that I didn’t mind spending only $3 for (4) toners after the $10 GC. But later, I tried to buy the facial cleanser and the coupons beeped too. The employee called the manager and the manager said you can’t use coupons with the GC deal (which we know isn’t true). Neither of them would push the coupons through so I just left the items.
Everytime I use coupons at Target I am disappointed because the employees and managers do not know how coupons work. I think I’ll be sticking to Wags and CVS from now on.
The same thing happened to me. I was buying 6 cleansers and 2 toners. The cashier only allowed one coupon per transaction. She was nice enough to do 4 separate transactions, but then I could only use one coupon per transaction, or a total of 4. I only had 6 $1 coupons anyway, so I just let it go. The plus side is that I got to use each $5 GC on the next transaction, so I left the store with only one $5 GC instead of 4. I love GC’s but hate how they make my wallet too fat to close. 🙂 I used my remaining 2 coupons at another Target, since the first one was out of the toners. (I got 2 toners and 2 cleansers at the second store.)
Happy ending-went back to another target on my way home from out of town trip and got 6 Olay face washes using $2 coupons. No toner. (Guess the lady who got 10 toners visited this target :). The cashier did not even blink. Also, I got 3 shouts for 40 some cents each and 2 packs of free light bulbs. Yea! Still need to figure out how to get more Olay to get the rebate but not sure how. I figured I would need about 13-14 $3.69 washes to get them (since toners are so popular). I have 3 $5 GCs. I have lots of $1 coupons that expire later. If more toner gets restocked even at $2.99/product still a good deal.
the bottles are small and I know in our household of girls even 6 face washes will not last more than a month or two.
Keep in mind that when you are at Target and having a problem with a cashier or manager, if you don’t have your Target policy with you, the coupon policy and the price-matching policy are available on their kiosks at target.com… the price-matching policy is in the FAQ’s but the coupon policy is fairly easy to find. Make sure you’re familiar with it and take the cashier/manager to it and show it to them.
Can you use the $2.00 coupon for the toner?
Happy to report, the deal worked beautifully I got 10 toners and 6 cleansers, and had the nicest cashier…which is total shocker for Target!! I’m loving all the Gift Cards deals.
Wow, I love getting paid to shop! I did 7 transactions with the toner and cleanser combinations using a $2 and $1 off coupon for each transaction. No beeps, no problems! But I must say I was pretty nervous going to the checkout! Now I just need to fill out my rebate!
I just got back from Target and was able to get 3 GC’s in the same transaction. I got 6 of the toners and used the $2/1 cpns. I consider toner a cleanser and the cashier completely agreed when the coupons beeped. I love those kinds of deals!! Thanks for posting them. I wouldn’t have even found that on my own until the coupons had expired.
anyone know the price for the olay total effects facial moisturizer, total effects anti-aging body wash, and total effects facial cleanser? Thanks
Thanks, collin
No offense ladies, but who needs TEN toners?? Do you know how long it takes to go through toners? It takes me months since you only use a small amount. Plus, that might actually wipe the inventory, preventing others from having a go. I hate to read this kind of stuff!! It is not stock piling, it’s hoarding! 🙂 It is also taking advantage of the system, too. This is not what it is intended for.
Hi Sarah. No worries. A lot of people, like me, are actually donating items that they get free through couponing. I mail packages to Marines in Afghanistan (including female Marines) and also boxes to shelters for battered women and homeless shelters. I have a facebook page called Give Freely that lists ways to donate your samples and free drug store items. There are a lot of people doing good out there!
I know of lot of folks do donate their items, which is wonderful. But in my case, I want to buy just ONE for myself to use. The donating aspect for couponers comes into play because they do over purchase, and need they to remove some of their stock to make room for new items. There is an element of ‘OMG is free therefore I must run out and get it’ that runs through some of the deals, b/c I have had to catch myself before, and ask myself did I REALLY need said item, even if it cost next to nothing?
If you’re just buying one and not doing the $5 GC deal, there are lots of stores that sell this product.
It is a buyer’s market. If someone wants to buy 50 toners and the store will sell them to the customer then the customer has the right to buy them. I don’t like customers who clear the shelves but I do defend their right to do it. I thought Hip to Save tried to tell the readers not to be so negative. I guess not everyone is getting the message.
Congrats to those who got all the products you wanted! It seems like this was not an easy deal to get.
Anon, I don’t think she is being negative….I know where she is coming from.
When one starts a paragraph/sentence with a “but” sentence then it can be taken as negative. Maybe the humorous part got overlooked.
Some of us have large families too and DO go thru mad amounts of things like this!
Of course BEING one with a big fam and needing to get big number, it IS frustrating to load up 5-6 kids drive an hour 1 way only tofind cleared shelves, I tell myself, at least someone will be helped … but I still get irked too, especially if its a NEED and we depended on the deal…. oh well. I do wish those who want to get mad numbers to donate would give the rest of us a few days to shop our regular shopping list BEFORE stocking up on donations, get their needs, a couple for friends/family, but then wait a little. Oh well… what can you do?!
I tried this deal this morning. I managed to get them to push through 3 coupons and that was it. They said they are always changing and updating their policy, so coupons might not work. It was SO annoying….I mean when it says ANY Olay cleanser, shouldn’t it be ANY?
LCM My target turned me away… because the coupon stated any facial cleanser, … it didnt say any “Facial wash, cleanser, scrub, wipes, etc…..” because obvioulsy a face wash isnt a facial cleanser???? uggg, im gonna try another target tonight, but… 🙁
Thank you Kelly for the facebook page. Sarah I understand your frusteration! When I first started coupon shopping I would chase all the deals only to get to the store and the shelfs were empty. At that time I decieded to take a break from extreme couponing for about 4 months, now when I go to the store and the deal is gone…no biggie and if I happen to catch the deal Score.
Collin, thank you for posting this deal. My sis and I went to Target and we each got enough to do the Olay rebate, plus I really needed the makeup wipes. We had a nice young male at the register and the toner Q’s didn’t want to go through, but he pushed them anyways. I’ve only been to Target a few times and didn’t know how things worked, thus my OOP was around $10.00. The giftcards I got for the cleanser wouldn’t take off my other transaction that included more cleansers. Anyways, I came home with a boatload of Olay and also got some needed bathroom cleaners. I ended up with $10.00 in giftcards to use the next time. Thanks again.
I just got back from my Target in FL and how embarrassing!!! I decided to try one transaction for the toners and I bought a travel sized item. The cashier freaked out saying that I cannot use a coupon on travel sized items. I explained to her that my coupon did not indicate that it excluded travel size and she continued to argue with me. She called the manager over and I told her it was not necessary that she could take the item off and give me my coupon back but she said no!! Manager said that there was no problem with coupons that say any size but then she said I could not use (2) $2/1 coupons with my 2 toners I bought. That does not make any sense! She said she would honor this time but that I needed to do my homework and read the coupon-Are you serious??? I read all the lousy trips that many people have and how no one is consistent or trained in the coupon dept.-Does anybody bother with calling the company to tell them that they need to invest in training their employees? Thank you for all that you guys do and for letting me rant a little 🙂
Uh, yeah, you need to do your homework TO FIND OUT WHO TO COMPLAIN TO! Seriously, that cashier was WAY out of line! You were buying the product indicated on the coupon. You had the correct amount of items required. There was no “only one offer per transaction” statement on the coupon. That cashier needs to be schooled and you need to call corporate to have them do that. It’s like when I had a coupon for “Any one size/variety” Bounce Dryer bars (I had previously had a problem with one and the company sent me a Q). The manager was called over, and she had a problem with my 3 pack that I was trying to get. I calmly said *repeatedly* that it say “ANY ONE VARIETY/SIZE” and my 3 pack was ONE package (they weren’t charging me for three, were they?). Finally, I said “I’m buying the product indicated on this coupon. It’s obviously from the manufacturer (it had a hologram), and Target will be reimbursed the full amount you put on this coupon. She gave in begrudgingly, but I don’t care! I knew I was following the rules. So if you’re honest you can always stand your ground knowing that you are in the right! Good luck, and don’t let that sour puss make you feel bad!
Thank you for letting me rant, I will make a complaint and maybe it will help us all have better trips at Target in the future. 🙂
Just did this and got 12 facewashes for $4.74 out of pocket $30 in gift cards and the $20 rebate….came home with $15 in gift cards after using $15 towards the other olays and then I will be using the other $15 gift cards with my $10 off coupon for Alice in Wonderland bluray tommorrow . I am sooo excited first time I have ever done a deal like this!!!
At my Target the shelf looked just like the one pictured above – heaven!!! Got two “gentle foaming face washes with aloe” priced $3.69 each, $2 coupons beeped as expected but cashier pushed them thru. Yay!
Another heads up–I just did the Olay deal and used the $2/1 PG and the $1/1 SS and BOTH coupons beeped with an “ITEM NOT FOUND!” message on the monitor Not only did both products fit the criteria on the coupons (one said “Any facial cleanser or moisturizer” and one said “any facial cleanser or daily active moisturizer, or something, but I bought 2 face washes.), but both products I chose were actually pictured on the coupons! The cashier looked confused and said “Huh. well you definitely bought these” and pushed them through. Strange! I’m glad he was nice about it. It was actually a better couponing experience than I usually have at Target.
I also did the Fiber One cereal deal, which worked like a charm. I’ve never tried the product, and I was somewhat disappointed by the ingredient list when I looked at it at home…lots of additives and preservatives. I guess it just goes to show that just because the name sounds healthy doesn’t mean it actually is! OH well, I’ll be eating it for a month anyway! 😉
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I made the mistake of being proative. I check at customer service if they would accept it before I bought 10 of them. They called over a manager she said “yes” but then the customer service person had to call her back over to approve the gift cards. Well then ALLLLLL the sudden she didn’t think a “toner” was a “cleanser” She straight up said to me “We can’t pay you twenty dollars when yo’re only paying us ten!” So it was clear to me that she just didn’t want to. OMG they are giving me target giftcards which I HAVE TO COME SPEND AT TARGET!!!!!!! Ok if you don’t think it fits the coupon than fine – but don’t change your mind when you realize Im’ going to make money!!!! She flipped on me and I cried. She called corporate and the non english speaker said they couldn’t push it through. I should have had her try it on the cleanser since people are saying that beeped too. Grrrrr I am so angry I want to just quit……
hope its ok to vent just a tiny bit on target today. im usually positive, but wanted advice on whether i should push this issue or not. my elderly mother slipped and fell in target today. as she was being tended to by EMS, i had no fewer than three employees ask if she slipped on a wet spot. (she didn’t -just slipped) it felt like they were more concerned over possible lawsuits than my mother lying on the floor with a broken bone. i even overheard them talking to each other about “no, she just tripped- nothing’s sticking out, nothing wet.” i almost turned around and told them to take this conversation elsewhere. then, i had an employee continuously interrupt me while i was interpreting for my mom and EMS (my mom is deaf) to sign a statement of fact. she caught me on the way out the door to follow my mom to the hospital to sign it finally. when i went back to get my stuff later that evening- they had put my cart away after promising to hold it for me for 24 hrs. i got to reshop for my coupon deals w/4 kids. the icing on the cake? when i complained to the manager about them putting my stuff back- she said ‘is your mom ok? did she slip on a wet spot?” i wanted to scream! am i being oversensitive? maybe the whole situation just has me frazzled. thanks, guys.
I would just email the corporate (for documentation) guest.relations@target.com and call the 1800-440-0680 or 612-304-6040 (another number I was given) and tell them the facts.
Regarding the items–I would suggest consider letting that go–I am guessing you might be more upset about how your mother was treated than the cart. The lack of concern about her health is really poor customer service. Many of these “managers” and workers are “kids” but they need to get the message that taking care of the customer is important ESPECIALLY when an elder who is deaf has fallen. Elders are the backbone of our society and should be treated with up most respect.

If any of you got the P & G Year of savings booklet this is the PERFECT time to use those Olay coupons in it. Buy 2 of the Olay Regenerist anti-aging cleansers for $5.94 each. Use 2 of the $5 off any Olay Regenerist moisturizer or cleanser coupons. Pay $1.84 out of pocket for both of them and get back a Target GC for $5! Just came from target and it worked like a charm!
oh, thanks! I’m so bummed that I couldn’t go today with my $2 off coupons that expired today. I really wasn’t looking forward to the hassle with the coupons beeping, so this makes it even better! Thanks!
Glad I could help! It is $1.88 out of pocket and then you get the $5 GC. I have adding problems this late at night:)
Booooooo! Had a heck of a time at Target. Tried the Olay but the coupon said facial cleanser and the 3.69 item was face wash so they wouldn’t allow it. Not even the manager could figure out they were one in the same!. THEN tried the $1 off tide stain release and did the travel size and since the travel size didn’t say Stain Release – they wouldn’t allow them either. THEN the freakin cashier forgot to take off 1 of my $1 activia coupons. Horrible trip to Target!
That’s why I now hand my Qs to the cashier ONE AT A TIME to make sure they come off correctly. I’ve had so many problems, and inevitably I have to pull something out of a bag to prove I bought it. This way, you know it’s coming off correctly and if they tire of you proving that you’ve bought the right things they will just push the rest through (saving you both the hassle!). I always apologize to the cashier for being so particular, but say “I’ve had so many problems before, I just do it this way to make sure”. Always works now. HTH! 😀
i feel so sad i did not buy anything.. i returned all gift cards given and the items.. they wont take the coupons for the cleanser. the items were “face wash” and “toner”. 🙁
We had major thunderstorms last evening, so I prepped my coupons for the week to see this Target deal. Thanks Collin, I was able to use my P&G Qs for Tide and Olay. I had no problems and I didn’t spend a penny out of pocket as I had a Target Gift Card from a previous purchase and was able to roll it and the Olay. And I have gift cards for the next shopping trip.
I have a question about the Olay rebate form. My receipt from Target has a “refund” value that is lower than the amount paid (but is the amount of the product minus half the $5 gift card). Which price do I circle and use to add up to the $50 to get $20 back? Thanks!
