I tried several Staples and found they always runs out of the cheap photo paper and dry erase boards from the last time they were on sale. I do find Staples to have the best ink deals, last week I had a $15 coupon, this week,$5. And then 10-20% back and money for recycling old ink cardtridges. When you are printing 300 Sobe coupons you need cheap ink!

FYI…if you are a teacher you can get more than the limit. I think it is 20 or 25 instead of 2 or 10,etc…

What about a Instructional Assistant? also, how do you prove that you are with the school? and are you able to get the rebates on it too … sorry, i know by the end of last year, they were reusing scrap paper for Print outs…

      • Nicole

All you have to do is sign up for the teacher rewards by showing current paystub. Staples changed their policy this year though. Limit is still 25 for teachers however for the extra 23 you actually have to pay full price up front now and wait until 3rd week of following month to get rewards back. I have voiced my opinion and have been told it is corporate wide.

How do these rebates work? Do I submit the receipt online and receive a check for cash in the mail? I’ve tried to read about it, but I’m not clear. Thanks!

    • MA

Yes, if it’s a rebate, their Easy Rebates are truely easy because you do them online. Once you sign up for an account (little key tag thing they scan), then all you do is go to the internet place it says on your receipt, enter two numbers off of your receipt on the first screen, and follow the directions. In short order, you are done. If you have more than one to enter, they can all be done at the same time. Very easy!!!

Most of these that are being talked about are simply items that are ridiculously cheap, if you get there before they are sold out, or on the right days when they get a shipment in. I love Staples!

So, it’s like the Rite Aid SCR? Do you get a check to deposit into your bank account, or a credit that MUST be used in their store?
        Thanks for the info.

        • MA

Know nothing about how Rite Aid works, only have Wags in town. But you do get a check in the mail that can be used as any other check. It does look like a post card so be sure not to throw it away, and at the bottom it tells you what rebate it is paying toward. And it usually doesn’t take but several weeks to get it back. 🙂

Can you use your rewards on the rebate purchase? I have to spend my $20 by the end of this month!!! Thanks

    • MA

Yes, I’ve used my Staples Rewards to pay for purchases that I’m going to submit for other Staples Rewards. They are basically the same as, hope I’m saying this right, coupons or cash. And then you’ll get your next Staples Rewards in the mail, plus the amount going to your monthly rewards account.

      • Tracy R

        Thanks:)

The manager of the Mundelien, IL store told me that if I use the Office Depot coupon then the rebate won’t pay out. He said that anytime another discount is used in conjunction with the rebates that the rebates don’t pay out. Is this true?

    • Tiphanie

i hope not. i was going to try it today.

I tried to use both the Staples coupon and the Office Depot coupon and they told me I would have to spend $55 to use both? So I just used the Office Depot coupon since it was for more off. Has anyone else been told this?

    • Alana

Yes, the purchase would have to be $55 or more. The Staples coupon is $5 off $30, whereas the Office Depot is $10/$25. The total purchase amount would then be $55, and you’ll be getting $15 off.
