Well, a House Party is thousands of parties across the country, hosted by people like us. Each event is sponsored by a leading brand (such as Sargento) and focuses on something cool that the sponsor wants its best fans to experience firsthand and share with their friends. I don’t have any pictures of the product box shipment but I have hosted 2 House Parties in the last 7 months. I got to host an Arnold Bread Thins Party and a Bicycle Cards Party. Fun Fun Fun! I love doing House Parties.

There was an actual Bic Soleil Party. I didn’t get picked for that just the “after party”. That had no party package just lots of annoying emails.
I got this kleenex party. My first one. Stuff hasnt arrived yet, looking forward to it.
Check the houseparty website to see the cut off date when the packs were to be mailed out by if you don’t recieve your pack by that date you need to email house party so they can get you one sent out
How are you guys being picked? I’ve applied to all of the ones Collin has posted and they didn’t choose me for any. Any tips for what the right answers are?

I’m in the same boat….always apply, never picked. We must be missing something! Especially if several people are picked for more than one party!
I’ve gotten 4-5 parties in the past year. Martha Stewart, Digiorno, Pullups, Bullseye BBQ and … something else I just can’t remember what…hmmm.

I got my kleenex house party stuff on Saturday!! (It depends when you signed up to host the party is when they ship out your stuff) I was so excited and my friends want these free samples too!

I have done 2 already! A velveeta/maxwell house coffee one and a febreeze set and refresh one! They are awesome and so easy! I answer the questions honestly and have been lucky enough to get chosen twice! Once you have been chosen, they notify you via email. You will first get a finalist email and the first 1000 to respond get picked to host. Check your email often, I have lost out on one, because I didn’t respond soon enough 🙁 Okay, so once you have been chosen to host, you need to create your guest list. I use family and friends. You can send email invites on the House Party website or print them. You then get asked once in awhile to go on the blogs and update the details of your party. No big deal. Before your party date, a GIANT box of awesome stuff finds its way to your front door! VERY generous! Full size products for the guests and tons of coupons for them to use after! I got 16 FREE Maxwell House coffee coupons to hand out and use and 150 Febreeze set and refresh coupons!!!!! I love House Parties!!!!

Ahh. I just got my “unfortunately you are not a host” email for that one. I really wanted it. Fingers and toes crossed I get the PlayStation move party!!!!

I was chosen for the Bulls-Eye BBQ party. They sent 8 bottles of Bulls-Eye BBQ, 18 coupons for free bottles, a large stack of free music downloads, 18 koozie (sp?) can holders, 2 shot glasses, instructions for making a cornhole & ladderball set and a BBQ grill tool set.

I have been picked for several of them: Fisher Price, Saturn, Ford and American Idol, Arnold bread, Bulls Eye BBQ Sauce one and I think one more but I can’t remember.
I am waiting on my Kleenex shipment as well. This is my first party. Do they send everything that we need to do as well or just suggestions? I have a flower garden in desperate need of thinning so I was thinking of having a garden party as party of it. You know, along the lines of “Get your hands dirty then get them clean with Kleenex.”
You get to pick the theme you want and they just give you suggestions. They just want you to promote the product, talk about it, let your guests try it out and then have them log on to house party to say what they think of it. It’s sort of word of mouth advertising and to see what people really think of the product.
I was picked for the Kleenex party, as well. I have not received my products as of yet. I am excited about it. I have entered before but this is the first time winning.
I was picked for the Hasbro Game Night House Party! It was awesome. I received the new Trivial Pursuit (not in stores yet), Catchphrase, and Taboo! On top of all three games I received 3 boxes of different flavor Triscuits and 3 boxes of different flavor Wheat Thins plus a bag of Dark Chocolate Hershey bites. Finally they sent a coupon for $1 off Energizer batteries for the games and 15-20 $5 off coupon for Hasbro games for the guests. We had a really fun game night with the intent on having them monthly now.
I am really excited- I was accepted to host a Kleenex house party too and am waiting for my stuff to come in the mail. This is my first time to host a house party. It is actually the day of my Dad’s birthday and they are having a baby shower for me on that day too so we are just going to make it one huge partying day! I signed up to host the Rubbermaid party too!

Just a side comment, my husband and I bought those Kleenex hand towels and are really having a hard time getting through them. It feels like you’re drying your hands on an actual kleenex. I would love to hear if people actually would use those again after trying them.
I just hosted the Febreze one, and my friend that has been to both of my parties just got picked for the DJ Hero party!!! I’m excited to go to someone else’s party this time, even though I am a tad bit disappointed I didn’t get picked for the DJ Hero or Kleenex one.
I learned about Houseparty on this site and applied for the DJ Hero party and got it!! I’m really excited, it’s actually the same day as my baby shower so we’re just going to incorporate the two together.
I love House Party! I’ve hosted a few over the past year (DiGiorno, Febreeze, Sandwich Thins, Oscar Mayer). The Party Packs are always so generous and the parties are so much fun. My guests are always so excited to check out the goodie bags! We’re like kids at a birthday party all over again.

I can see where the food house parties may be fun, but Kleenex and Splenda? What do you do? I applied for Bulls Eye once, but was turned down.
I think it’s about being creative while trying the product out. A lot of people that are hosting the Kleenex party are having a “Messy,” Theme where the kids get messy and then wash their hands and dry them on the Kleenex hand towels. My party will not have the same theme but it’s still going to be a blast and my guests are going to have a lot of fun.

I was picked for the Splenda party. It works out great for me as I’m hosting a monthly girls night in and we’ll be painting some ceramics and on canvas. I think I told them in my questionnaire that I would like to mix it with my girls night in. So we’ll also be having a taste testing as I plan to make will have Splenda in it.

I hosted a Verizon Fios party yesterday for the World Cup Finals. Lots of fun and I got plates, cups, koozies, soccer stuff to decorate with and a FLIP camcorder!!!
I was chosen for the Splenda party, the first times I applied, so I’m excited! I’m doing it as a mother/daughter afternoon, a kickback to the lazy summertime era when women sat on porches drinking lemonade and visited while their daughters played! It should be very fun!
I did the Febreze Party. It was so fun and they sent TONS of awesome freebies and coupons. I didn’t get picked for the Kleenex party but I have few other apps in right now.
I got choosen for a Digiorno’s Party. I found out later that I couldn’t have the party on the day they scheduled it. I tried to contact them to tell them and they never responded and sent my stuff anyway. I’ve got the box full of party stuff and not sure what to do because they never respond. Any suggestions?
You can pick a day that works best for your schedule. Go ahead and still have the party.
I did the Ball party and was sent a set of canning supplies along with tons of jars, reusable bags and coupons. I used alot of the goodies as freebies for my guests and even had a giveaway w/ some of the canning supplies.

Call me childish if you wish, but it really irks me that I’ve applied to everything and haven’t been picked once, and there are people who have hosted 4+ parties 🙁
Ive been chosen for 5 or 6 parties so far and they are great!!! Wish I would have been chosen for the Kleenex one but it’s ok. Just did the Bulls Eye BBQ sauce one, tons of free BBQ sauce and a free BBQ tool set and other fun freebies. I also just got chosen for the Splenda one and should be receiving the package sometime next week. I say sign up for as many as you can cause you never know if and when you’ll be picked for one.
