I received a subscription to this magazine as a gift as was not impressed with the content. For those interested in coupons, choose another publication.

Just an FYI, i signed up for Real Simple magazine several months ago through Freebizmag.com and have never recieved it. What I do receive though is weekely emails from the company wanting me to sign up for some other ‘free’ magazine. I need to unsubscribe…
On a lighter note: Signing up for Working Mother magazine and clicking on the homemaker option. 🙂 I got a chuckle from that.

I’ve received every magazine I’ve signed up for including Real Simple, OK, and Parenting(though – I think that this is just good luck – since they do a random or some other lottery type system for those that get it – like anything else that is FREE – they can’t give it away to EVERYONE who signs up or else they would be out of business and unable to give it to anyone).

I also get the emails weekly with offers – some of them I sign up for and some of them I don’t. If you don’t want to be in the know of what free offers exist for you before they hit blogs like Collins – then yeah, unsubscribe.

I just got a thing in the mail a few days ago wanting me to get a subscription to this magazine. I think it was like $15/year and I was wondering if it was even worth getting since I’m a stay at home mom and it’s called Working Mother. I wasn’t sure what kind of content it had.

    • Haila

It has a lot of the same stuff you see in other women’s/parenting magazines. Plus content on work/life balance, and the various logistics of managing a career and a family simultaneously. You can click around on their website to see if it looks applicable enough to be worth it for you.

As far as coupons go, this would not be the magazine to sign up for, but in terms of how to balance the working/mothering/wife-ing angle, I give this magazine the thumbs up! Thanks Collin.
