Well, it looks like select Kmart locations are at it again with another round of Super Doubles starting, 7/25 and running thru 7/31! This time it’s different, though, because Kmart is only doubling coupons up to $0.99 (not up to a $2 like before 🙁 )– which means you could possibly get a total of $1.98 off one product… but not likely considering I’ve never seen a $0.99 coupon.

On a positive note, it appears this time they’re doubling EVERY coupon and not just Health & Beauty products (like before). Keep in mind they are still only allowing up to 5 coupons to be doubled per customer, per day. Head on over here to check out some of the details as well as a list of all the participating stores– there are lots of stores participating this time!

I’m assuming the rules will be the same as they have been during previous doubles promotions. If that’s the case, then I would assume most of the rules below are correct. Let us know if you find out anything different.

Kmart Double Coupon “Rules”:

*You can use manufacturer coupons up to and including a $0.99 value (i.e. if you have a $0.75/1 coupon, it will be doubled up to $0.75 for a total of $1.50 off the price of the item)

*You must be a member of the Shop Your Way Rewards program AND the cashier MUST swipe your reward’s card at the beginning of your transaction!!*

*Limit 5 total coupons per customer per day.

*If you are using more than 5 coupons in your transaction, ONLY the first 5 coupons will be doubled.

*Does not include Kmart Store Coupons or Kmart Pharmacy Store Coupons (i.e. Kmart coupons will NOT be doubled)

*If you are not currently a Kmart Shop Your Way Rewards card member, do NOT stress! There are 3 simple ways to become a member:

1. Go to the Customer Service Dept at your local Kmart or Sears store and request a card; you will be able to sign up and receive your card immediately (this is obviously the best option if you have a store close by)!

2. Call the Shop Your Way Rewards Card dept at 1.800.991.8708; they will take all your information over the phone and then a card will be mailed to you (the card typically takes 6-8 weeks to arrive). Even if you do not have the physical card in hand for the double coupon days, you can give the cashier your phone # or member # in order to pull up your reward’s account.

3. Click here to sign up on-line; then just print off a temporary card to use while you wait for the permanent card to arrive in the mail.

(Thanks for the heads up, The Frugal Find!)

Maybe I’m strange, but I always find it to be a fun game to figure out coupon match-ups that comply with Kmart’s ever-changing rules for doubles! Of course, Hip2Save always comes up with match-ups that I never thought of!

  3. Niki

I avoid Kmart. Just me. 🙂

    • Lisa

      Not just you…
      me too.

      • kimberley

after they were just doing health and beauty with the last one It just isn’t worth it. There’s so many deals other places that don’t have 15+ rules.

  4. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Waste of time.

  5. Jennifer

.99 doubles? Now that it so weird! $1 doubles might have been worth a stop if I was in the area, but probably not going to bother with it for this one. I did go last time and had so much fun figuring out which 5 items I could end up getting for free!

  6. cutsiecow

Kmart is loosing business with these STUPID coupon rules! Who seriously sits around at KMart and says mmmmm….lets see if we can screw the ppl who keep us employed! Real Smart Ones there at KMart Headquarters!

  7. Jill

Agreed. Waste of time. I didn’t go the last round and I’m willing to bet nothing will be free after doubles this time as Kmart is a lot more expensive than other stores to begin with. I live in LOND too, lol.

  8. Lori

Now another reason NOT to shop at Kmart. What will they do or think of next? It really doesn’t surprise me.

  9. r.b

There are a lot of BOGO cat food coupons that will double and make them both free. Consider them for shelter donations!!

No stores in TN or else I would be doing it only for that.

    • Renny

I thought I read somewhere last time that Kmart is no longer doubling bogos-is this not right? I’m in TN, too, so not really an issue for me this time, but it would be really good to know for future.

      • r.b

I haven’t heard anything but I don’t keep up with Kmart stuff so I’m not sure! Guess somebody would have to try :/

      • mel

I went to the last one and rimmel was bogo and I used two coupons and both doubled–if that’s what you mean. No problems.

    • shelly

I’v tryed doubling BOGO coupons in the past and they refused to double them I’m I missing something? I would love some free pet food. Help!

I have 2 of the .99 off coke coupons off of facebook from the other day. Wonder if they would work? Though, my Kmart is the least coupon friendly place I’ve found. My store has signs posted that they don’t take internet coupons. I contacted corporate and they said they addressed the issue and that I can use internet coupons. Psh, we’ll see….

  11. Laura C

I’m not too sad that my Kmart isn’t participating this time. I don’t think doubling coupons under $1 will compensate for their consistently higher prices.

  12. Megan♥

Kmart needs to pull their head out of their $#%. Seriously. I know I’m not the only one living in a large metro area with 99¢ doubles at every grocery store either. If they want to compete they better kick it up a few notches.

I wrote them off after that stupid coupon they published and then pulled…$10 off or something? I can’t even remember.

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My Kmart is not on the list–kind of glad. BUT, last go around I got 6 mouthwashes, 5 tooth brushes, 6 deoderants, 8 men’s body washes, and 5 tampon packs for under $25 and I used a $25 prescription GC. I got 3 $10 coupons that I used to buy 4 computer paper packs and school supplies, bras, socks, and panties for back to school. In the end I did not pay any OOP. Was a very good deal for me.

  14. KLM71

It is so not worth me riding the bus to go and just save on 5 items…The bus fare alone will cost me $6 and just not worth it…What happened to the up to 40 coupon limit or even go back to the 10 coupon limit per person. Plus, I have to use the card to get this deal…

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It’ll cost me just a little more to drive to the nearest KMart – a little too hard to justify saving such a small amount on overpriced goods.

  15. JZ

    I won’t be going either, and I have a K-mart 5 min. away.

  16. sara

not worth it for me… i would save more by just using the coupon straight forward at walmart or krogers. maybe would go if they were doubling up to $2 like last time.

  17. Frugal Librarian

And don’t forget they deduct your coupons from your “rewards” I ‘ll pass.

  18. Sabrina

Thanks for the headsup Collin ….I live by a wonderful Kroger though that doubles $1 coupons everyday plus they are cheaper than Kmart dont think I will be making a special trip for this double coupon week!!!!

  19. mkw

Kmart just continues to give us reasons NOT to shop at their stores. . .

  20. Brea

They seriously do not understand the coupon mentality. If I can’t get enough deals to make it worth the gas and my time, why would I step foot in their store? I love supporting my favorite coupon friendly stores, I will continue to avoid Kmart’s attempt to double coupons that seems to be getting more and more pathetic each time they come around.

  21. Carole

Just thought I’d throw this in… Even though they always say “5 coupons per day” last time they did Super Doubles a few weeks ago, I discovered it was actually 5 per transaction. I only bother with it since KMart is within walking distance of my apartment. What I did last time was first do a transaction of 5, then a transaction with just one to make sure it would double that 6th one. I ended up getting 15-20 Qs a day doubled by splitting it into transactions with 5 items each. HTH

  22. Crystal S

How do we find out if our other store will double on an everyday basis? Is it a store by store decision, or is done at the corporate level? I’d rather take the coupons some where else, but I’m not sure if any of my local stores double.

  23. Gracie Cappello

Oh, I remember when store didn’t limit coupons – when they doubled up to $2 dollars! Those were the days! 🙂

    • Meg

      Amen!

  24. Nikki

So not worth my precious time or effort.

  25. lovelycouponer

Is not worth with their high prices
I flip the bird to kmart
    now is kfart for me

  26. sharon t.

After the $10 coupon shennanigans (which they were accepting in my area), nothing could ever tempt me to go to Kmart again. Nothing.

  27. marci

Wonder if the folks at k-mart corporate ever seen a coupon? Come on now–99c coupons? Where do you get them?–please fill me in on that–what would be the big deal with them adding on a whole penny–i guess they don’t want to break the bank. lol
