Does anyone know if the “rewards” from the MaxPerks program are in store credit or an actual check or pre-paid credit card mailed out to you?
Just to clarify, I was wondering about the specific item deals. I know when you purchase $75, you get $10 back to spend at the store, I just didn’t know if it worked the same way for the items you purchase, like the backpack. Thanks!
They’re an in store credit.
It sounds to me as if you have to have $500 in purchaces before you can get a $25 credit card. Did you sign up for the business account? I couldn’t find where it says you can spend your credit if it is less than that. Please help me!

Generally for purchases, that’s how it works. But if you buy one of their special Max Perks generating deals (such as those listed above) you don’t have to get to $500. But also you don’t get the credit automatically – it takes a few months. Not sure why it takes so long – I guess to keep you from being too quick to “roll” your Max Perks with new offers!
I bought Max Perks generating paper back in January. It took several months, but it showed up in my account. You have to print out your account statement showing this (available online – they don’t mail it to you) and they’ll use it in the store like a coupon.

Yes, thismust be regional. I printed off this page and took it to my Office Max in Detroit and the only one that was correct was the backpacks. The following items were not part of the deal:

the only one in my ad was the backpack deal. I purchased additional items and used my teacher’s coupon $15 off a $50 purchase. My boys had picked 2 expensive backpacks so, my order was over $100. I used my previous Max Rewards Points (like a gift card, printed off the card/numbers off my MaxPerks account online before going to the store). I later discovered that the $15 was divided among ALL My items and not on the items that weren’t the MaxRewards generating items. My slip just showed $15 off the total…but a day later my online account w/MaxPerks showed that it took $ off all my items…so, I didn’t get to use the complete $15 value of the coupon…as $13.70 was off the 2 backpacks…so, the store says I did NOT pay full price for the bags which was 49.99 and 59.99. So, I ended up paying more for the additional items than I wanted to.
I was hoping to do a return & repurchase to split up my transaction into 2 different ones…1 for the MaxPerks Rewards items and then use the coupon on other items, to get the full value of the coupon. But they won’t make that happen.
I’ve spoke with MaxPerks and the store manager and there is NOTHING they can do. Once that coupon is used…the credit wouldn’t be re-issued for me to use on a different purchase.
I wanted to post this so other teachers will know they need to split up their transaction IF they have that teacher coupon and items that earn Maxperks rewards.
