When I won the $50 of restaurant.com gift certificates I squealed with delight! We love eating out and restaurants.com!
Last night my family went to Marisco’s El Pescador. The restaurant.com gift certificate was for $25 off a $50 bill. I have fish stuffed with shrimp in a cream sauce, my husband has shrimp fajitas and one son had chicken mole, while the other had a chicken taco. We then had fired ice cream for dessert. The chips were served with 3 different kinds of salsa! So yummy!
The waitress was obviously familiar with the program, so it was no problem using it. In fact in previous restaurant.com experiences, I think they welcome it because they know that you may be a new customer and that you might spend more because you have such a great discount.
While the 18% gratuity said it was going to be built into the bill (which is fair – there’s no reason for a waitress to get tip based on $25 rather than $50) she didn’t do that. So our total bill, for all that delicious seafood came to a total of $30 before tax! We had a great time and got to stay out of the kitchen on a hot night.
I would recommend anyone interested in saving money to give it a try. Even in our rather small area, there’s a nice and growing selection of restaurants. Most of the restaurants are locally owned, which also means more of your money stays local! Its a win all around!
