Was anyone else having problems with the promo code BIG. Was not working 🙁

Nope, worked for me fine. Just got four $25 certificates ($100 total!) to my FAVORITE sushi place for $8! My husband will be so excited. The only restriction is that we have to spend $35 – easy to do with sushi! Thanks Collin! 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Can you show me how to do it please (and what’s the web link)? My husband’s BD is coming up and I would like to take him to eat sushi and it would be a surperise for him. By the way, we love sushi! Thanks.

Is there any recourse if a restaurant you bought certs for has closed? My bf and I were hoping for a romantic dinner at a Thai restaurant in the city, but when we went there… it was permanently closed. 🙁

I believe there is a phone number on the certificate you can contact in the event a restaurant has closed or no longer accepts Restaurant.com gift certificates.

    • jareds_butterfly

I’ve had that happen before and you can go on the website and they’ll issue you credit to get a new one. Or call the 1-800 number…they’re very accommodating.

I’ve had this problem as well. I’ve just emailed them and they’ve gotten back to me within a day or 2 with a credit.

Question for any? My certificate says one certicate per month? How would they know or track this?

    • Amyt

They only issue you a code once a month to redeem a $25 certificate. They issue this sometime in the middle of the month, every month for 3,6, or 12m. You will get your “bonus” certificate code immediately. When you get the codes, you can redeem them instantly and print out a $25 certificate for the selected restaurant, or you can let them sit until you decide to use them.

    • Kelly T

It’s actually one certificate per month per restaurant.com account. When the restaurant calls the 1800#, it will state the cert is invalid if you have used another one that month.

Worked for me! $100 in GC for $8.

  6. dr_beanz

I can’t get it to click on the $25 for $10, only wants to do $25 for $15. Any ideas?

This is a great deal if there is no restrictions.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I’m not clear about tipping. It says to “please remember to tip your server on the full value of the guest check”, but it also says that 18% gratuity is added before the discount. Isn’t THAT the tip? Are you supposed to tip on top of that?

    • Amber

If the receipt shows that gratuity at %18 has been added, I do not tip up and beyond that amount. I think 18% is way above a fair amount so I leave it at that. However, if the gratuity if no where included in the price, I tip on the amount my bill was before they applied my coupon. It doesn’t hurt to ask if they have included gratuity if you don’t think it is clear on the receipt.

If you sign up for Mr Rebates, i believe you would get $5 to start the account, and according to their site, 30% cash back on Restaurant.com purchases (as long as you don’t pay with paypal, which isn’t a problem for most people who just pay with credit card). Ebates only offeres 15% cash back, So if you spend $8.00, that means $2.40 back. 🙂

If you join Mr. Rebates, might you use my referal link?
    https://www.mrrebates.com?refid=395160
You get small percentage back from purchases from the people you refer – so once you join, you should refer people too! 🙂
